One thing I did notice about the modern Subarus is how very loose shifting gears feel (Just from what I see in videos and I’m talking about gears on the CVT, going from P to R for example) In comparison to some other cars from other brands where changing gears feel tight
CVT's don't have "gears" like a conventional automatic transmission, so that would explain why there is a difference between the two. I can't say that I've noticed them to be "loose", but maybe I'm just used to it.
Nice review and thanks for not using all the verbal 'crutches' that people here in the U.S. can't stop saying ("basically", "literally", "as well", "as I was saying", "at the end of the day", on and on). I am ordering that exact same spec Touring XT. At first, I was concerned about the touchscreen but just learned that many of the functions can be controlled via voice commands. Definitely a giant leap forward from my 2016 Outback. I LOVE the look of that winter set up - are those X-Ice Snows? Which wheels - they look great! I'm deciding between Nokian Hakka R5s or the Michelins for my new winter set up - any input there?
Thanks for watching! The voice commands do make it a bit easier to work things, especially climate and radio commands! It's a big upgrade from the previous generations for sure! They were Michelin X-ice snow's on Black Touren TR60's. I personally prefer the Hakkapelita's to the Michelins, but neither is a bad choice by far. My next set of winter tires, which I'm probably due for next year, will be Hakkapelita 10's, or whatever they bring out to replace them.
