I immediately liked this ink and then when I saw the writing sample I became hooked! I would definitely buy a bottle of this. Practical AND pretty for the win
First time with Diamine inkvent and I was disappointed with a black on Christmas day and then I saw your video explaining the box color to the last color. THANK YOU. So I too liked it and at first I thought it was a green black. But it's nice to have a black in the rotation that is a bit different. Merry Christmas!
Love this ink 🎉. I wanted to ask you for guidence. I am coming back to fountain pens after many many year. I need a pen that is easy to write with it long stories. I need a pen with a good flow and reliable. Unfortunately I can't spend more than $200 dollars and that with a big effort. I am not going to use shimmer inks. Love the look of the Benu and Leonardo, but I don't know if they are good for my purpose. Thank you for you videos!
A lot of people would probably suggest a piston TWSBI, but I say check out Opus 88 fountain pens. They are eyedropper fill - hold a lot of ink - with the bonus of shut off valves. I personally don't write a lot, and like to change inks often, but still use several Opus 88 pens for a handful of 'always want a pen' inks. I have a growing collection of BENU and Leonardo pens. They are cartridge/converter - my fave - but will not hold as much ink as a piston or eyedropper style pen.
I second the TWSBI if you want a very affordable option. But the Opus 88 brand is FANTASTIC for holding a lot of ink and they are amazing writers. The Benu Pens can be eyedroppered as well and will hold a lot of ink but they are larger pens. Leonardo has a Momento Zero Grande 2.0 that has a piston filler (holds more ink too) but they are a bit more pricey! Best of luck on your fountain pen search!
At first, I was disappointed by this ink, mainly because I had an expectation in my mind, that it would be a black in with dual shimmer. Once I got over that silly expectation and got this into a pen, I really enjoyed it. I think I would have preferred a bronze or golden sheen but this ink really is quite unique and I loved how great of a flow it had. Thank-you for all these great videos. Everyone brings something unique to their ink reviews and I enjoy the comparison swatches, the writing sample, and your voice! All the Best! Merry Christmas!
@@Tia-p5f I think you will love De Atramentis black velvet with copper and Diamine Solstice my most used inks. Solstice has blue green shimmer and looks almost iridescent. 🖤💚💙
Honestly this one felt more Halloween than Christmas to me, but I really enjoyed the inkvent as a whole! Definitely just doing it next year and not both inkvent and colorvent again lol
Mike Matteson notice this.. the Blue had a 30 ml that was blue based, red collection was burgundy/red based, green was green based, purple was purple based and the black was black based. I never made this connection before either.
Nice! The matte black is cool Sailor - Black Waterman - Black Pilor Iroshizuku - Take Sumi Troublemaker - Polar Lights BPC - Byzantium Kiwi Inks - A Witch's Potion
Thank you so much for all the impressions you gave on the inks, it's been fun waiting for your swatches to be uploaded so that I could compare my impressions with yours
I'm thinking that they couldn't add glitter to it because it's so jam packed with sheen! The first pen I had it in was a stub, and it was running okay but not really kicking out enough ink to make good use of the stub.. that makes me think that if they'd tried adding glitter on top that it would have become pesky to use. I'm not mad that they stuck with the sheen! It's great even in the medium that I settled for!
I love this ink - makes my goth heart very happy. I also loved that if you water it down more the base colour a lovely purple with blue.
I love it! Really cool to know the color shift!
I really enjoy this one as well! Love all the sheening this year- thanks so much for the shout 🙏🏽
Yes! I was having so much fun watching your reels on IG 😊 This advent was fun!
Definitely an interesting ink. Good for Diamine for breaking out the unique! 💜🖤❤️

Thank you so much! I care the most about how comfortable it feels and how smooth for long writing...❤@@MarshaLove0723

@@machaontarot5514 Thanks for the tip! Goulet has both of those in sample size. For the New Year, I think I'll try them out.

Maybe they were channeling "Nightmare Before Christmas" in this one haha

I'm sorry you weren't happy with this one :( If you can, you can mix in your own shimmer, I think a fun icy silver would be great in this!

I love the sheen with this one. I think it is a bit "thick" with sheen haha, shimmer might make it a bit challenging.
I thought it was obvious that the box is the color of the final ink.
