wow! things are looking up! my fav guitarist/columnist/philosopher playing/happily reviewing my fav new guitar (WAY better than I will... Nashville cats...). Made my day! rock on!!!
John u rule, love your playing..that intro was nice..great tone u got dialed in there, nice n clear.. I’m kind of a Reverend addict, but that thing there is tempting as hell..the clean tones are interesting 🧐loved when u eased up the piezo and chicken picked.. sounds classy, kinda compressed, but I’d probably assume that’s the amp
Great demo man. Thank you. I have thisone too. Outstanding. I love to play with two amps. To mix a crunch e guitar to a acoustic, is great. And I love the neck. And the light wight. And the beatyful design. I love everything on this beauty.
Your playing really suits this style of guitar. Was just trying it out today but decided to go for the much more expensive Ltd custom 24 figured maple purple iris with ebony fret board. I don’t regret it but just know after trying this hollow body today that I’m going to end up buying it too. It really lends itself to that jazzy blues style that I was trying to do on it today but didn’t quite do it justice like you do. Great playing and tone 👍

Wow, wish I could play like that. Amazing playing. Have a PRS Custom 24, Top 10 wood library. Just stunning. Now if I could do it justice by having your skills. Thanks for the demo. Appreciate.
Hey John, What's going on, bro. Your my favorite rig rundown. Constantly watching. You did a rundown with Joe B. and he said you where a great guitarist. I thought what a compliment. This is the first time l have watched you play. Dude they should be interviewing you instead of the other way around. Well maybe just under Joe, but you definitely surprised me. Your a serious guitarist. Just wanted to say lm impressed. Do you have any recordings out there. If so let me know so l can give you some money. I love the S.E. series. I have a S.E. solid body, saving up for the hollow body. I love the Les Paul, but swinging a hammer all my life, my back love's the P. R. S. I mean the solid body isn't to heavy and you say the hollow body is around 5 lb and the sound is as good as anything out there. Cool Rock on. PEACE
Thank you Robert. Joe B was really generous with that compliment,.,,, that I still don't think I deserve. I've played on a lot of recording and tv bits. Recently I produced a cool project called GRaham Nancarrow and The G*d Damn Saints. Lots of guitar nerding on that one. Play on, amigo
My problem with you is what ever you demo, sounds great because you are such a fantastic player. You demo a pedal, sounds great, demo an amp guess what sounds fab, I need one oops I can't play like that. Love your videos, wish you had some learning stuff like your hybrid picking techniques! Thanks
If/when we get another covid stimulus check here in the US, I've had a brown sunburst model is in my Reverb cart for a couple months, ready to hit Buy. I'm so ready to retire my Variax 700 and get mag pickups again for the dual-purpose gig guitar.
I've owned a McCarty Hollow body piezo(bought second hand for $1100 in 2015) also had a Hollowbody II. I love the way they sound. The 10" radius isn't for Me.
There's just something about PRS guitars I have tried a few recently and ended up buying a se 2408 you just cant put them down amazing build quality and sounds
I don't know why they assume everybody wants to hear the guitar distorted. I'd like to hear the piezo combined with the neck pickup clean. I want to play it on acoustic solo gigs. If I started cranking the hell out of the guitar on my solo gigs the people would think I lost my mind. Just my thoughts.
Have they done that finish on any other models? (non private stock) Everything about it is stunning, just when I thought they've done it all they outdo themselves!
Own the Black/Brown version… Really Great guitar… looks of course rival the Core product One horrible flaw… Cheap Chinese wiring… The piezo battery tray is crap. Thin wires attached to 2 eyelet endpoints w a teardrop of solder They should have used a PLUG like setup. I’m rebuilding mine ! Then it will be back to my goto
You haven't mentioned the neighbors in a while....so.. I'll assume all is "harmonious".. But, let's give em' a taste of that vibro champ, just to make sure.
actually, only the piezo is battery dependant - the (passive) humbuckers are totally isolated in the "mag" output and work without a battery... or when the battery dies :)
LOL. Might just as well say “Look ma! Another guitar amplifier and PA that need electricity to make any noise”. You know a battery is just electricity in a tin, right? An acoustic guitar is the only guitar that isn’t electricity dependent…
Great job playing BEFORE talking! I wish more reviewers understood how much more interesting a video is when you play first. Well done Sir.
I have the exact same guitar. I have a hard time putting it down. So amazing.
Maybe the best demo that I've seen covering the range of what this thing can do. Thanks for posting.
i have had a Hollowbody ll for quite a few years... still my go to guitar!
wow! things are looking up! my fav guitarist/columnist/philosopher playing/happily reviewing my fav new guitar (WAY better than I will... Nashville cats...). Made my day! rock on!!!
Fred... thank you. You are too kind. Play on, amigo.
I've been waiting for this one John. It's such a great guitar for the price, and PRS is uncompromising in their design and build quality.
I just picked up this exact guitar. Best demo I’ve ever seen John. Now I’ll be up all night trying to copy some of your riffs!!!
Intro alone deserves a THUMBS UP !!! 👍

I have the non piezo hollowbody 2. Amazing guitar. Great demo as usual John, you're the man!
Thanks John. ⚓️
just WOW
John the legend!

EPIC playing

Amazing bro 🔥🔥❗️❗️
A Kemper 😬😬😬😬😬
Mr. Smith is a genius!
Great Demo John .I think you have sold this to me to go with my Boss Katana .
Agreed about the neck. It’s overly wide or fat. Feels great in my hand as well.
Awesome intro!
thanks for the review especially appreciate the relatively simple amp...
COOL !!!
Cool. Guitar

@@DennisVernier I bought one a year ago, still have it. Some minor problems right out of the box but overall I'm satisfied.
Hey man, why don’t you do a short video on some of those open string licks at the beginning with then piezo one? Killer
Thanks Greg. There are some PG lessons called "What Bohlinger Plays" where I show some of that stuff. Check it out.
@@johnbohlinger thanks man. I can’t believe I have run across these. Your playing and all around goodness makes all of your stuff the very best.
Is that Boss Katana 100 MK2?
Have they done that finish on any other models? (non private stock)
Everything about it is stunning, just when I thought they've done it all they outdo themselves!
Uhhhhh wow
Can you recommend any amps for this guitar?
Wish I bought this instead of the Tele Texas tea I just bought for more money. Although it’s cool for sure. This one is next.
What is that song in the beginning?
Håvard Kalliainen It‘s Bourree in E Minor by J.S. Bach
Any issues with feedback on stage? Not really looking for a Ted Nugent sound all the time.
Own the Black/Brown version… Really Great guitar… looks of course rival the Core product

No left handed? 💩 Nice playing 👍
Will it sound like Ted Nugent?
Why would you want a guitar to have a midwestern redneck accent?
Is that Steve Vai's brother?
Sounds kind of... hollow ;). Thanks for the review!
I swear John is like 7 feet tall
Alright John starting to humble brag a little bit with all those old black and silverfaces hanging around you.
It's an embarrassing addiction, a cauntionary tale, there's no cure nor end in sight.
@@johnbohlinger I have it too. I think anyone watching this has our same disease. GAS
Man I love old Fender amp sounds. Looks however not so much. It's like they tried making them as ugly as possible.
Pee-zo!
This guitar wouldn’t sound anything like this if I played it, because I can’t do anything John did.
look ma! another battery dependent guitar.

I only use rechargeable batteries nowadays.
