As a 570S owner I enjoyed the video and content. Great job! BTW- there is an option for soft close doors that I have on mine which eliminates the need to slam the doors. In fact, the first thing I tell someone riding in mine for the first time is PLEASE do not SLAM the door. It will pull itself shut with the soft close :)
An independent McLaren specialist in the UK, who services around 6-8 hundred mclaren's a year did a 20 min interview on UA-cam, it was an eye opener into life as a mclaren owner, tell you what it sounds like a nightmare, they won't even tell you how to turn off the service light.
McClaren, dealer not releasing the paint code, perfect example to walk away. If you can’t get a paint code a marine something bigger and more important.
You didn’t cite any issues!!! How about electric seat motors? Info entertainment? Car not recognizing a key? Poor body panel fit and parts falling off including front splitter, speaker covers? Check engine lights?
When you can afford one or personally experience those problems dont spread b.s. yes the keys are weak you just put it in the cup holder and it's fine the infotainment system is just clunky. Those other problems aren't common. Oh the splitter comes off because of loose screws after you curb it too many times.
@@dilgaf personally experienced all of those issues including the driver seat motor moving the seat back for comfort access and then no longer functioning. Then decided to work the next day. Speaker cover behind the seat fell off.
Looking into buying 570s spider. I test drove it and the brakes have very strange behavior. They are very stiff from the beginning ( as if you pressed them all the way) and also for the 1/3 of range nothing is happening. Its almost you have no modulation its either on or off. I have to press it really hard to get to work. Is it normal?
@@dithermotor6823 Carbon fibre brakes need to get hot and it can cause accidents when you run her in the am and didn't get your coffee. Just slam on the brakes right once you get going.
The carbon ceramic brakes do get some taking use to, but I've never doubted their stopping power. Also, as part of the new ownership quirks, you'd swear you're gonna put your foot through the floorboard when applying the brake to start. You eventually get use to them.
Why would you own one when you can just rent one? See the issues you're having? Yeah don't have that when you're renting. One weekend a month at best. 2k drive it like you stole it and return it.
Old post, but I will tell you it’s typical. I don’t know why, but they don’t boost the brakes much. I think it varies by car. My 2019 spider is not bad, but I drove a 2018 and it was horrible. The brakes definitely stop the car, but they need considerable pressure
That's because the MC code is on the Pirelli P Zero's. But I will say I couldn't wait to get Michelins PS4S' on the car once the P Zero tires were ready to replace.......
Oh there are many with them. In order to certify they should have McLaren spec tires. But check for recent date codes and make sure you get a full set of the same tires
A McLaren is a money pit from hell. It takes a military size budget to care for and maintain these cars. And If you dare to drive yours it will cost you even more. There are far better options out there then McLaren.

Apparently so, which is why I'm on the fence about getting one. You might want to join the Mclaren Life forum, as they have been super helpful to me.

dont see many mclarens out there with the MC logo on the tires nor do i see it when i go to the michelin site. so maybe that first point is mute
