Education is very empowering!!! Being surrounded by loving people; your family and husband and sisters, etc. All of your preparations, your beautiful nursery...all the planning!!! It's all a form of empowerment. So happy for you and your hubby💞

I had none of this education before our daughter was born. Things have come a long way obviously. I had a couple of checks with the obstetrician, no mid wife meetings and that was it. I wish I’d had more opportunities to ask questions. Good on you and Clinton for being so proactive.
I’m super impressed with what’s available through the hospital, they have been really fantastic! And then if you want to source more education yourself there’s lots available now

I am sending you a virtual hug. I had severe PND and am forever grateful to my community nursing staff and my hubby. Mental health needs to be discussed, just as you said. ❤❤❤

I also wanna add (Sorry, I know), that don't worry too much if the birth doesn't go to plan.
Babies do what they want and sometimes things don't go as we would like them to go.
And that's ok.
As long as baby and you are safe and ok that's all that matters.
I've have friends plan their births down to the second and baby had a different plan and they ended up say having a c section or having to have an epidural. And that is ok.
You do it however you can and what's safe.
I hope that everything is super smooth and you have the birthing experience you planned and hoped for. As that would be amazing.
But don't ever beat yourself up of things change on the day.
I've had friends get so upset but in the end, it's all worked out.
Also, this is where you educating yourself is a great thing.
My mum had to do natural births on myself and my sister and she said she doesn't regret it.
But every person is different and that is also ok.
You do what works for you in the moment.
You and your baby will be awesome either way. ❤❤

I know I say this all the time but I am genuinely so excited for you! I cannot wait to hear the whole story of your birth too. You did give me a little giggle when you were crying because you didn’t get your ham and cheese croissant😄 Just too cute! Don’t be too hard on yourself not understanding your emotions. It’s absolutely normal. I wish you well through the rest of your pregnancy And, I wish you a safe and easy delivery❤

My bestie had metal and punk music playing as she was in labour and giving birth.
It's what she wanted and what she needed.
She wanted the primal experience and that was her jam.

A tip for before the birth
Have some sterilised bottles and formula ready to go JUST IN CASE
As when you bring bubs home from hospital, you don't want to have to run around sterilising crap when you have a new hungry baby
Also, only if breastfeeding hasn't been an option.
It may sound like a small thing, but set up as much basic daily stuff as you can before she comes
As when you get home it may be overwhelming and you'll be grateful things are ready, at hand and good to go as soon as you walk in the door.
Ask for help to do this as you're already doing heaps on your own
Remember, always ask for help and don't be prudish just say what you need and when you need it ❤❤
And please don't take this as me shoving advice down your throat, coz I know that happens
Just me very quickly typing up some ideas that may help or may not or you may have covered already.

So exciting 😊 I was very hormonal towards the end too and overwhelmed cause I have a disability too and there was a lot of information from the hospital and I was giving birth during covid so my partner couldn’t come into scans or anything it was so hard but such an amazing experience in the end
