- Hiiiii friends!! It's been a while but I've managed to scrounge up a vlog and show you a day in my life with my newborn baby. She is 7 weeks old now, I cannot believe how fast the time is going! This first time mum gig has been a tough one but we"re getting there!

Oh yeah baby changes everything it’s hard to do the normal things with your partner for sure we struggle all the time and our daughter is 2 and a half now

Thank you Kate!! She’s soooo sweet and now that she’s got these little smiles going on, omggggg my heart melts. Her hair is getting lighter and it has a ginger tinge in the sun so I think it might be. I really hope so too 🤞🏻🥰

Thank you!! ❤️❤️ oh for sure, it was a pretty busy and good day with feeding and napping and not everyday is like that. Today for example has been lots of fussing and short naps. But that’s all apart of it 🥰
Aw she is gorgeous. My daughter was born 2 weeks after yours, so it is interesting to see how you are going. I can relate a lot in this vlog! Im breastfeeding too but have already introduced a bottle here and there for mental health reasons even though they said not to. Its nice to get a bit of reprieve and have others help out with feeding.

Thank you! And congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Hope you guys are doing well. Gosh those first few weeks were so hard for us. So much had changed and it was such a huge adjustment. We did a bottle last week too! My husband had been wanting to do it so I can get a break every now and then. She took the first one but not the second. We’ll keep trying though. You take care as well 😘❤️
@@TanikaJaun oh thankyou so much. Yeah we are doing great, I feel like we are starting to fall into a routine now which is nice 🙂 Oh, keep trying it can take a little bit for them to get used to bottles. It can help to drape some clothing of yours over ur husband so baby can still smell you.

Once you get some good sleep, it does get so much easier. So I'm glad she's sleeping better now :) And the first 2 months are crazy, Its like a freefall almost. The first 2 months I cried so much too lol.
Omg it changes the game haha being sleep deprived is actually torture, it’s so much to grasp the first 2 months and being that tired just makes you feel crazy. It’s amazing how our bodies just do it!

Baby carriers are the best - my girlfriend used hers when bringing in the horses as she had her hands free to actually pop the horses halters on and lead them up a 50 acre paddock.
She could make a horse feed and do most things and then popped bubs in the pram to sleep near the horse as it ate.
You CAN do things as a mum. It's all about finding what works for you and going for it.
Well done you also getting ready for the day and doing makeup. A lot of women find that really hard.
My friends did co sleeping and my others had the bassinet right beside the bed and occasionally pulled bubs into bed, but they found that having the bassinet next to the bed to be a life saver when getting their sleep.
My other friend did co sleep until her son was nearly 3 and wanted his own bed which she built and painted how her child wanted.
You just find what works for you and do what makes you and your child happy and content.
Good on you for showing how and speaking up at how chaotic things can be.

Thank you! But like I mentioned this was just one day and it’s not like this everyday. Yesterday I didn’t brush my teeth or wash my face, I bounced her most the day and she just didn’t want to stay asleep. Everyday is different I’m sure you absolutely weren’t doing a shit job!

For storing breastmilk, put the time (it was collected) on it - because breastmilk collected at nighttime actually has high levels of tryptophan, which helps the body to produce melatonin and helps baby sleep. So at night you'd be wanting to give her nighttime breastmilk if you can, to help her sleep better :) If you mix your daytime breastmilk that would be okay, you could just put "Daytime" on it, instead of a time.
