Thank you for sharing this new post. I’m glad to see that the ABS module is much smaller. I would’ve liked to have the option for a Rohloff I guess as I’ve heard and read somewhere it’s all about the compatibility with Bosch.
Thank you for your comment! Exactly, due to technical factors, the smart system was not yet combinable with the Rohloff e-Shift until recently. Whether there will also be a Rohloff version of the bikes with smart system in the next model year, which will be presented this summer, we can not say at this time. Stay tuned!
We own two 2019 Nevo GX with Rohloff and had been accumulating a lot of miles. We'd been waiting for R+M to update the Nevo with the Bosch Smart system, but with no Rohloff E-14 being offered, we won't buy this bike and will look elsewhere. We have extensive experience with the NuVinci/Enviolo/Vario hub and don't like it. (It is funny they keep renaming their product every couple of years.) If R+M is not going to offer a BoschSmart compatible system with Rohloff and a larger battery, then Nevo becomes a step down. I think the problem for R+M is Bosch has not integrated their Smart system displays with Rohloff's E-14 electronic shifter. Maybe they will some day . . .
Hello and thank you for sharing your experience with us. The new smart system from Bosch is an innovative product that is separate from the previously known Bosch e-bike system. Due to technical factors, this could not be combined with the Rohloff e-Shift until recently, which is why we could only offer the models equipped with the smart system with a derailleur (touring) and the continuously variable Enviolo hub (vario) or as an automatic version so far. Whether there will also be a Rohloff version of the bikes with smart system in the next model year, which will be presented this summer, we can not say at this time.
@@rieseundmuellerGmbH Thanks for the response! We love our R+M bikes, but would appreciate the extra battery capacity of the 750 Wh, as we now live in a mountain town with elevation gain on our bike rides. We are so hopeful you will be able to offer a Rohloff E-14 version soon. You have two customers waiting for you in the USA!
@@rieseundmuellerGmbH customers from Eastern Europe have been waiting the same! Rolhoff, dual battery ( integrated also up to 750) , and of course Nevo , cause low -step models very casual! You produce really good quality bikes, keep doing!
Thanks guys, but I do not want to hear the technical specs. I want to hear what all of these means for me as user. Eg “with the new motor you will feel like flying because it adapts automatic to your own personal riding”. Otherwise I do not know why it is better… keep this in mind when presenting new bikes. Bests
The Supernova horn is only fitted ex works on the S-Pedelec versions of our Nevo4 model, which are unfortunately not permitted in Australia. On the Nevo4 GT automatic, we fit the normal Billy bell ex works. It is best to discuss with your Riese & Müller dealer whether it is possible to retrofit the horn.
Which is better for riding on steep hills between Bosch Performance CX (Gen 4) and Bosch Performance Line Speed (Gen 4) motors? I've read that the CX has more low speed torque available to help climb steep hills easily.
The Enviolo Automatiq hub interface delivers a fantastic riding experience and a smile on my face. It would be interesting to make this option possible for all R&M E-bike models instead of just for the Nevo. I have converted my Charger 3 GT vario to a Automatiq and would not want to go back to manual shifting. Greetings from a satisfied R&M customer
Hello Kevin, thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you like your Charger3 GT so much. The Enviolo automatiq shift is also already available in our Swing and Packster 70 models. We don't know yet whether other models will follow, but we'll be happy to take your suggestion on board.
@@rieseundmuellerGmbH Hi. I have the Automatiq on my Nevo3. I agree with Kevin - there is no going back to any other gear system for me. It makes such a difference to me; never breaking into a sweat on rides, always comfortable, and confident to ride anywhere. I had wanted an Homage ( because of the rear suspension) but there is no Automatiq option. So please look to expand the range with Automatiq. My only grouse is that the Automatiq option prevents having a usb charging socket.
Yes, the Supernova mini 2 Pro with high beam is standard on the Nevo GT autmatic, regardless of the cockpit. www.r-m.de/en-en/bikes/nevo4/nevo4-gt-automatic/#F00918_05011008
My wife is 5'2" tall (158 cm). From the published website frame geometries, I can't see data on the minimum saddle height; any guidance would be helpful as we'd love to share the same bike, I'm 5'9" (175cm).
Hello, this is indeed difficult to answer, which is why we always recommend a test drive at a specialist dealer. You can find a list of dealers here: www.r-m.de/en-en/dealer-search/ As an approximate guide, you can calculate this yourself by adding the bottom bracket height with the frame height plus the minimum height of the seat post. This extends at least between 10-15 cm from the seat tube. The information about the bottom bracket and frame height can be found in the frame geometries of the bicycle on our website.
awesome bike! I own a Nevo3 (MY2021) and even though the bike is awesome, the headlight position on the handlebar is an issue with front rack fully loaded and you've fixed it! Now the burning question for me is : can I retrofit? I understand the front carrier is different with a screw hole in the front, and you also mention an extension cable. Can I buy both separetaly? (would you have the SKU so my dealer can find them easily?), do I need any adaptater or will my current Supernova mini 2 fit directly into the new front carrier? thanks!!!
Hello, we are glad you are happy with your bike! We also have good news: there is a retrofit kit to attach the light to the front rack. Please contact your dealer, he can look at your bike on site and order the kit from us.

As far as we know, the Smart System is not yet dual battery ready.
So how do you attach a water bottle with a front rack installed.
There are several options, for example with the Fabric cageless system. Your dealer will help you find the right bottles for you and your bike.
