On terms of restocking items, The idea I thought of that I think would be a good balance is if the hunter could have a palico bring "backup items" that you can give to a palico before setting out on a hunt, and they can hold onto more items for you that you can return to camp to retrieve if you need them. Like just having an extra pouch. That makes more sense than having access to your box with 1,000 Mega potions there because it's unrealistic you would have access to everything while out in the middle of some region. Giving a palico extra items to hold on to can add to the immersion/realism of what you have available at your camp, and if you take whatever the palico is holding onto, that's it, there's no more. No infinite restock or anything like that. I never use the restock feature in the first place, but I feel this would make more sense and it still helps out new players who are sucking and need extra potions to finish the hunt, basically a safety net for struggling players, but they still have to plan ahead accordingly by giving their palico extra items before leaving whatever hub/village you're in so there is still a sense of preparation in place. Maybe they can even implement a feature where if your camp is destroyed (Because i remember hearing large monsters can destroy your camps) if that happens maybe you could lose your back up items that were originally at camp. Then you would have to be more smart with where you set up camps to try to prevent that from happening again. Not to mention you'll still be able to pick up herbs and honey while exploring the maps.

Fantastic Collaboration guys, I really enjoyed watching n listening to 2 of my favorite Gamers, fellow Hunters. DS3 & DS Remastered my favorite Souls Games besides Bloodborne. Elden Ring become my favorite now cause of Open World n so many things we can explore n find besides fighting Mini Bosses, Bosses.
Don't know if you'll see this, but I have recommendation for Rise/Sunbreak Lance. Rather than going for the backhop into drill attack, go for the shield bash attack. (Yes the terrible one against the Barroth from the trailer). I thought it looked terrible, then I used it and it really fits into the poke poke poke rhythm. The shield bash resets your combo so it's triple poke then bash and also blocks attacks and stuns. It's actually really smooth! It's less damage than elemental drill poke but it feels so smooth.

Interesting conversation at 54:00 Re quality of life Vs. the authentic hunting experience. I personally believe they could introduce a similar system to the ranking of quests, where there's another system which runs alongside this which instigates what level of hunting you will be expected to do. For example, some low hunting rank quests could let you resupply at will, and higher "hunting rank" quests expect you to do all of the prep beforehand and don't allow for resupplies. The higher hunting rank quests could give better rewards.
The one main fight looking forward to is the ultimate fight in WILDS. Like Gold Taroth having 16 ppl fighting the monster, this time it might be bigger parties fighting it at one time,the graphics the experience that we are going to get on PS5 WILDS, really can't comprehend how excited and the anticipation is for this game next year,i truly hope we get it in January 25

I remember how excited DG was when he got the washing pole in DS3. I knew he was a weeb from then. I like the great katanas, i just wish they all had the Rakshasa poke R2 instead of a slightly wider sweeping R2 than the R1.
Skills.... I would love to see skills basically fuse if you equip 2 of similar type that also adds detriments on top of the benefits. For example if you equipped attack and expertise they would automatically fuse to a new skill called Beserking that give even more attack and crit but reduces your defense and elemental defense. Mixing Defense and Guard would produce "Bastion" which ups both the original skills values and reduces attack/crit values. Taking a more balanced approach would yield no fusion skills but also no penalties. I'm sure this idea has flaws/holes but something akin to it could be very fun/interesting.
Oh boy... The wounding mechanic topic... If the wounding is ONLY applicable in Focus Mode, isn't that literally Clutch Claw 2.0?.... Hopefully that's not the case.... 😅
I think the camp restock is probably fine since capcom has been putting it in some cracked out monsters recently. Now should wilds allow restocking? Yeah, but I think if we want to move towards preparation, that the camps we that are out in the world could possibly need to be manually stocked, so you can essentially prepare the campsites manually with stockpiles of consumables, for example; A camp in a snow region that requires say, hot drinks, while also stocking up on other consumables, that camp specifically you may want to also put a supply of hot drinks in it simply due to it surrounding region, while a camp in the desert wouldn’t need that. Perhaps you could even manually go collect other items for the hunt aswell, such specific types of slinger ammo you can gather, or usable endemic life like paratoads, however that could be pushing it a little to far tbh.
Restock and go around the map collecting stuff to make potion is the same but by using restock you save time that’s a quality of life that’s my opinion
Regarding restock items. I think the right solution is to limit the restock attempt (maybe once) and also you can only restock items that you already had in the set. so you couldn't just choose any items you want
You guys metioned absolver at the end, I would be great if you guy did a collab live stream re-introducing the game to your audience and talking more about wilds,sifu, etc . Maybe leading the way for a an Absolver 2 with enought attention
I would have honestly changed it so u can only sharpen on the Mount outside of combat, because the sharpening on the Mount feature completely invalidates the feature of sharpening and to and extend sharpess lengths on ur weapon because the inherent risk of sharpening is gone during combat. (Not talking about sharpness or sharpness levels, just about the act of sharpening your weapon). Or balance it where if u sharpen on foot it’s faster and recovers more sharpness and on mount ur mount becomes waaaay slower and ur sharpness isn’t recovered nearly as much
I really miss MonHun's older era of color and whimsy. I hope they eventually grace us with ports of all the older games on current available hardware so I can more easily enjoy the kind of hunts that got me into the series
Radahn is actually easier imo without summons because they either just die instantly (basically anything other than Mimic Tear will die in about 30-45 seconds and the window to summon barely exists) and because the aggro swap makes things significantly harder because of aggro swaps. Can you drink right now? Maybe, but maybe he swaps and kills you when you try.
Rathalos isn't scary in GU is annoying lol. Maybe that's just me but waiting for it to land due to limited flash bombs never felt intense. Good episode
One of the biggest things that pissed me off about Rise was the fact that you could not hear their full list of lines when picking out a voice. It is not like you could just change it later if you found a better one you had to pay for an edit voucher and even then it was almost impossible to identify what one was the one you wanted.
It seems to be a way to access certain moves, what im worried about is if it’s too similar to hunter arts or silkbind moves which are very portable-esque Im curious how they’ll balance and make it not spammable like those mechanics
@@angelomendoza6666 I'm more so worried it's going to be/feel similar to clutch claw in terms of being basically mandatory. If the mechanic is going to be fun that's not a problem but if it's not it's going to feel bad over time.
53:13 I wouldn't call sharpening while mounted a QoL change, but more an intentional exploit as monsters can't really do anything to you. Now if they let you sharpen while mounted but made the mount slower, or made the sharpen less effective to counter act the ability of moving while sharpening then it'd be fair. 53:36 God, why would they bring restocking back. It takes away from the gameplay and immersion. Just make it a very limited thing, instead of infinite. Or like Ruri says at 58:17 keep it unlocked until a certain objective has been completed. 1:07:49 Sorry, @DearGamerTV but not all QoL changes are good.
So when it comes to restocking and being able to sharpen on a mount, you can challenge yourself and not use those features if you think that would make the game better. It’s kinda like not using summons in Elden Ring.
I mean the monster hunter team r one that actively listens to the community a lot. If enough people critique certain features of the game there is a chance they could change stuff. I mean World had so many things that were added just because the fans complained or wanted something added, Zinogre, Fatalis and even Poogie r examples of this.

I don’t see it as a crutch, I see it as immersion breaking and too powerful. Bear in mind these are vastly different games in terms of what they provide to the player. Souls games have always had co-op summons, but we haven’t always had infinite consumables and easy access to sharpening mid combat in monster hunter.

They want Wilds to be more immersive and keep you out in the Wilds( no pun intended) but make more sense to be able to go back to the camp to restock

Open world game with no loading screens means that the village is also available so restock would always be available as well
Sekiro is my favorite fronsoft game as well. I went and replayed it after shadow of the erdtree and it's just such a finely tuned experience.

Most likely not. They’ve been pretty strict on wanting to move forward and not look back with the series with remasters.
