Seeing your shirt reminds of of an event from my childhood. I was living in Greece for awhile and had to attend a British school. As an American, their system was quite a shock for me. Whenever the principal came in the room, we were all supposed to stand at attention. I wouldn’t do it lol. So I was sent to the office for disciplinary action. I told them “I’m an American, I only stand up for the flag”. Even as a kid, I was still a patriot!

Got my X8 Friday did not use anything it came with went through my archery cabinet and put stuff on I had laying around QAD 10” stabilizer limb savers and new peep I think I got my back up bow impressed so far for price

BTW, I bought the X8 from your link and I found out that I am suffering from "peep sight creep," (the peep doesn't rotate far enough to see through it). Do you have any tricks for fixing that?

I just add or remove a half twist to the string to change the position of the peep. I also will rotate the D loop to stick straight back from where the peep faces so that when I hook my release on the D loop it rotates the string so that the peep faces straight back.
Sean, thanks for your how to videos. I ordered the bow and couldn’t be happier. It’s everything you said and more. I am learning to shoot with glasses. One question , what poundage do you recommend for bow hunting and do you know the inside diameter and the arrow spine number of the arrows that came with it. I wanted to order some lighted nocks? This bow is amazing! Thanks again
I wi have to test the spine on my spine tester to see what it is. I'm not sure. I'm glad your enjoying the bow. I got some light up nocks off of Amazon and tested them out and they shoot a little left of where my regular nocks shoot. Make sure you test them out. As for draw weight, I recommend a cut on contact broadhead at 60 pounds or lower. Most states require at least around 40 pound pull for hunting.
Sean, the inside diameter of the arrows from Sanlida dragon 8 bow package is .244. In case anyone ask about ordering lighted nocks, as they come without adjustments for diameter. Thanks again fir all you do. David in NC.

If you have access to a black gold sight tape you can find your fps of your bow and use a caliper to measure the distance between your yardages and set your pins it’s actually really close in my experience
Cool. Using a caliper is a good idea that would work on any sight if you have the arrow weight and fps.
Hey man... good video. Do you know which is the best between dragon x8 and the topoint momentous. I did a budget of the X8 to buy all the stuff like topoint but it was more expensive.
I never heard of topoint. The x8 is the best value bow I've ever tested regarding what you get and how much it costs.

They have a 60 pound and a 70 pound model. I'd get the 70 if I were you

Sean do you think I’m better off putting a better sight on the sanlida? Seems like u went through some trouble.
I grew up using this type of sight. It's definitely a bit of work sighting in each pin, bit it can certainly be done with some patience and dedication. I now use the trophy ridge react pro sight. It's tool free and sighting in just two pin automatically sets all the rest.

t it true that on the dragon x8, if you reduce the draw weight it reduces the draw length?
When you reduce draw weight you increase draw length.
Hi Sean. Do you happen to know what size those e-clips that hold the cams on on a dragon x8? I lost one when my string popped off and want to order some. thank you. I got it restrung and my center shot calabrated.
I'm pretty sure you can get them at Lowes but I'm not positive of the size.
Would love to see how well you got your sanlidax8 shooting maybe at 20 to 40 yards
It shoots well. I hunted with it for turkey this past spring. Never got a shot but felt very ready to hit the mark of one came by.
Are you going to be hunting with one of these this year?
I'm planning to take it out on a couple hunts and see what happens but not my primary bow.
Sean I’m shooting 30in draw and max poundage. I tried using my Easton carbon hexx 330 arrows 7.9gpi. They feel flimsy. What the lightest gpi 300 spine arrow for my setup?
You would have to check with the different manufacturers to see what they offer nowadays. I don't know off the top of my head, sorry.
Sean, just got the dragon x8 29.5" draw at around 50 lb draw (4 turns out) what would be the best arrow?
I'd suggest that if using a 100 grain tip, get something with a 400 spine.

one question. were you able to look through the peep sight? just bough same bow and peep sigh is not adjusted.
Every person must set the peep sight to their needed height. It will be different for everyone.
Probably late, but I just found out you can just slide the peep sight up and down, not sure if it's supposed to do that or it needs to get tied down better than how it comes! Got the bow last week and I've never shot a compound bow before all the videos Sean's has put out has helped tremendously thanks!

I know this is an old video. But I just bought one of these. I am a very short woman. My draw length is only 25 inches. The rear peep sight is definitely too high. How do I lower it?
They usually make them so that you can slide them down in the string by force. Usually there is a knot above and one below the peep. Slide the lower one down then the peep then the upper knot. God bless you

I have order this compound bow and i have a question about the sight light
My sights light not work
Unscrew the top and take the clear plastic disk out that keeps the battery from contacting the metal and then screw the cap back on. They are shipped with those in there so that the batteries don't get worn out before they arrive to the customer.

a big question is why are you didn’t clarify where the Peepsight location is according to where your natural drawMy experience was Peepsight was way too high out of the box and before you start shooting it it’s best to eyeball it make sure everything is more or less square and I like your arrow against the frame comparing the arrow in the wrist for squareness
That will be different for everyone and it is an obvious step so I did not feel the need to address it when explaining how to adjust the sight.

Hey man what's up? So I'm sighting my Sanlida in and it keeps pulling to the left from 10 and 20 yards. I've tried messing with the hostage rest and I can't get it to move anymore to the right to correct this. Is there something else I'm missing
