- In this video we will be unboxing and assembling the Sanlida Archery Dragon X8 compound bow. After assembling I will take it outside to shoot and sight in. Once it warms up I will do a more in depth review of the bow once I get to use it more. I can't wait to set it up for some bow fishing so make sure you subscribe so you don't miss out! Also, a big thank you to Sanlida Archery for sending the bow my way to test it out!

Dude shooting 70 lbs from this bow feels like I’m releasing mini rockets 🚀😂
A great feeling 😊 this Sanlida X8 is a huge upgrade compared to my last bow which was a very archaic piece of gear. I've learned a lot with my last bow but shooting this X8 is like night and day in comparison
That orange handle is a arrow puller some of some of the arrows hard to get out of the targets
Thanks
The orange thing is a arrow puller..
Thank you. I found that out shortly after posting the video. It’s a neat idea
I ordered one a-week-and-a-half ago. Set it up last week. Had trouble papertuning it - it kept shooting 1" nock high. Draw weight was maxxed out, and cams were timed. Threw on a QAD dropaway, set up a new D-loop with soft nocks above and below the arrow nock before tying in the D-loop, and replaced the cable slide to a roller cable slide. I ended up flipping the limbs top & bottom keeping the orientation of the right and left sides. Tune got better but shooting 1/4" nock high. Had to lower the nocking point, so now the arrow is set up nock low in relation to the berger hole. This is the first and only bow I have ever owned to set up nock low, but it's shooting bulletholes now and probably would be able to shoot out to 90 yards with the way the arrow is pointing upwards. It's set to 27" drawlength, but I twisted up the cables to get it back up to 70#. Draw cycle stacks in the beginning, but tapers off and drops into the valley and a solid backwall with the cams in time. I got this bow to mess around with and see if I would be able to recommend it to beginning archers on a tight budget. For the money, I would say, "Yes." I'll probably end up selling my bow. I already have two Bowtech Destroyer 350s and a Solution SS, as well as a first-run Diamond Infinite Edge Pro with the machined aluminum drawlength modules, not plastic, so I really don't need this one. I emailed Sanlida about quality control 5 days ago. I still haven't gotten a response.
I'm not a beginners archer but love this bow. Some of the parts are trash but the bow itself it perfect for the price
The upgraded pro version is even better !!! basic bow is awesome.. rest is starter / shoot now- replaced as caN:>)
@@chrisstokley7687 they got a update version?? Where?
What parts are trash?
@@jtheone3397 the sight, arrow rest and weight balancer thing. The bow itself is Great!
12:50 I believe thats an arrow puller
How’s the noise level on this bow?
Idk if they changed it but my wrist strap looks different from yours.
Knappe boog i like this 😊
Can you do a video on putting on the whisker biscuit?? Like close up? My arrow lays in it cocked to the left and I can’t figure out how to adjust it
It would have been helpful if you would have shown close ups of the parts as you put them on. Your camera was to far away to tell exactly how to put them on. All the you tube videos have this same problem from the ones I have seen
👍👍
If I want to buy additional arrows for this bow, what size you recommend?
Depends on your draw length
that orange thing is a arrow puller
Very helpful video! I was wondering if you know how low the draw weight can go without risking the limbs falling off? Can it go down to something like 30lbs?
Glad I could help out! I am not completely sure, but I would assume that the bow should not have an issue reducing down to 30/40 lbs
Это лук ослабляется до 0 lbs. Он обслуживается без пресса.
the bolt is like 5/16ths steel and the allum riser can withstand too about 1/2 inch threads inside! like 15 lbs ... but string will hop off sometimes that low.. stay 30 + lbs .. most accurate at maxed poundage! soo can ask for the 60 lbs max.. seems best cause 70 lbs is almost 2x the max needed for deer and usualy for ELK!
Is the pliers looking thing with the hex holes in it just a stand?
I was wondering the same thing
Between Sanlida dragon x8 and PSE stinger Max SS which one should i buy?
I have no experience with pse so I likely could not give a fair comparison, I’m sorry. They both appear to be very similar bows for both price and quality from what I can see on Google. If you do choose the Sanlida Dragon make sure you use my link in the description for no extra cost to you!
@@CamS_outdoors tq so much
@@aes808 if you have not bought either bow yet do not get the pse I had the exact same bow as my first bow and I hated it with a passion it felt like the draw weight was 100lb at 70 because there was no let off at all. I could not get any accuracy out of it because of that factor. It was extremely loud and I mean it was the loudest bow I’ve owned. I own multiple bows at this point In time and I’ve owned some extremely expensive bows I’ve had the pse stinger max ss, Barnett vortex hunter, oneida osprey and out of those 3 bows the one I enjoyed the most was the oneida but the beat all around was the Barnett. I currently own a Hoyt hyperforce, Hoyt klash, pse snake, samick sage, and a Barnett vortex 45lb. If you can find a nice Hoyt klash I’d suggest getting it because my girlfriend can shoot it just as well as I can shoot my hyperforce and if you are dead set on compound the klash is my #1 suggestion if you’re not dead set on compound and think traditional archery is what you would like then go with a samick sage or black hunter I’m either of those are great cheap options.
Dragon! the dragon is duel cammed and smoother.. exactly like flagships.. the maxx is single cam -pse cheeper model . not to say there bad/ but they arent the new style duel smooth cams!!!!
12:57 arrow puller 😂
Would you suggest this for a beginner bow hunter
This would be a good low-cost option if you are just getting into the sport
No, this is Chinese crap, buy a price point bow from an American company…..there are many to choose from.
Truth: theres people who say there style bow is best- its choice of compound/recurve/long/or all these in target form! compound is for hunting usually ..cause hold 70 draw long time with the let off. on scale 1 to 10 ...the basic bow and wheels of the best flagship.. and the dragon8 pro.. /dragon is a nine -flagship is a 10... $200 or $2,300 .. upgrade the accessories as you can .. ! This bow can be deadly accurate!!!!! compound is like a rifle./ bow no wheels is like a pistol... Really need both... recurve bow WITH holes drilled for accessories is good for target /fishing/great learning ... compound takes the human error out of the picture mostly!
@@michaelcolthart4006and gordon limbs and BCYX string are crap too?
Is a bow press needed?
Nope, a bow press was not needed to set up this bow
@@CamS_outdoors will it go up to 70 pounds of draw weight by using which tool if so?
An archer would know that
Can’t even see what you are doing…
