S3 of SFV she was probably top 1 and really easy to play. Most tournaments you would have multiple Cammy mirrors on stream. S4 she was still stupid strong as well and I think it wasn't until CE patch where she toned down enough to not be ruining tournaments lol
I remember I liked both Fei Long and Cammy in SF2 but, I couldn't play them to save my life. When x-men vs sf came out I needed a partner for Rogue I gave another chance to Cammy. She's really fun in alpha 3 too.

Man I miss VT1 divekick....that move was RIDICULOUS and I love it so much. Yeah I so happy in modern SF Cammy have been a consistence strong character, she also was good in other old games (not top tier but there), I think she is B+ in MVC2, Alpha 3, Probably A in Alpha3 Upper, not sure in CVS 1 and 2, but probably be B, Cammy since SF4 have been very good, SFV might be the strongest just because of how easy the character was and how INSANE her normals where, once she got to your face was literally game over, and her VT1 and CA where the best anti fireball tools in the game. SF4 she was very technical I never could use her as her best potential as I sucked at FADC, but loved to watch high level Cammy players do their thing.....SF6 got close to that but with now the simplicity of combos and drive system make it rewarded, interesting, complex yet simple enough to be possible to master and she is still a menace. Overall my girl in any game she is on and 100% have to agree on this video.

And she has one of the coolest most relevant background stories, most SF characters have goofy stories, which is all fun and good, but she's legit SF Jason Bourne.
I haven't played Cammy in SF4, but in SF5 Cammy had a lot of counter play, especially the shotos were hard counter to her, so she was good, but never top 1 or best in the game, the same carried into SF6 and the babies were crying about her non-stop and she got nerfed. However, I am happy she got nerfed so all those cry babies could take a break for a moment. Cammy has very hard matchups and so far only Punk is playing her at the absolute peak, not cause Cammy is overpowered, but cause Punk is the best player in the world.
In SFA3, V-Cammy has divekick but only during the peak height of her forward jump, and she bounces back if the opponent blocks. That's the first mainline SF with the move, and it's not great. So you didn't really miss much by not covering it
If im not wrong in that game she also was low tier. In alpha 3 is like between top 8-15. In MvC2 , if you ignore the Gods in that game, Cammy is a very good option! Could be wrong but I think the first Capcom game where she´s TOP was CvS2. In CVS1 her extra mode got the cannon strike. By the way, worst Cammy voice actor, at least for me in those games! Great vid....but i recommend you to delete it, please! Can give Nakayama-San some bad ideas for the next balance patch! :V
I think Cammy is the 2nd strongest female fighter in the world, alongside with Chun-Li (she's the 1st strongest female fighter one you know.😁)! Like, we love Chun-Li and Cammy for sure!
And she should be good, as should any character on the roster. Cammy works exactly how she should be working. Most Cammy players aren't that good imo. Only the Pros make her look god-like. Easy to pick up, very difficult to master.
Cammy was the worst character in SF2 and was solid in Alpha but not top tier. However in the later games she was much better than she was in SF2. They refined her toolset and she basically does what SF wants you to do (good pokes, good whiff punish, reversal, etc). Straightforward, but effective.
Totally uncool military lame character, I dont hate her as much as I hate barbieken, but from the female chars she's certainly the least interesting one.
