Tame Impala is actually one person, Kevin Parker is the genius/mastermind that writes, records, produces, and sings the entire thing, all the instruments he played them. I know it’s mind blowing. You should check out lonerism for a more psychedelic 70s feel!
Kevin Parker may be the musical prodigy behind Tame Impala's studio albums, but to get the full Tame Impala experience, the listener really needs to hear Tame Impala live in concert with the full touring band. The live performances take all the songs to a whole other level.
If you said this you not a real fan. Tame Impala is not "UnIqUe PeRsOn" is a 4 guys, the unique solo álbum is Lonerism, he made this album 98% solo but Barbagallo and Jay Watson help him in a tree differents musics. Believe or not, Kevin have more 2 bands, Pond is bascally a classic and smooth TI and Gum is basically a Tame Impala more and more pop. I hope you learning this
watching this video, I tried to remember how it felt to listen to Tame Impala for the first time, and i remember it being like it was an experience from another world. It's crazy how the lyrics are so oddly specific with moments in my life
I listened to Tame Impala after recommendation of a friend. I was drunk and i thought i could smoke one. I started listening to this album beeing high af Best expierience of my life
@@rushsilvertax9768 thx for sharing, I also remember listening to Tame Impala while being high as fuck. Every instrument felt like it was by my side. I could imagine Kevin playing every instrument. Good memories
Love this album, glad you enjoyed it too - I admittedly chuckled a bit at the start when you said you didn't enjoy long songs and noted that Let it Happen and New Person, Same Old Mistakes, the first and last songs, were both pretty long, because those two tracks might be my favorite of the album, and I'm glad you loved them too. One thing about New Person, Same Old Mistakes - I think you're right in that the song is obviously about falling in love with someone else but committing the same mistakes as in the previous relationship. I think there's another part to it though; the "New Person" isn't just this new romantic interest, but also the singer/Kevin himself. Kinda emphasized by the latter part of the song and also ties in with tracks like "Yes I'm Changing," but yeah, the singer is simultaneously worried by this point that they've become an entirely new person - that they've changed *too much* ("feel like a brand new person, so how will I know that it's right"/"in a new direction, so how will I know I've gone too far?") - and that they haven't changed *enough* - the backing vocals of the chorus. ("But you'll make the same old mistakes, stop before it's too late") The singer's changed, but they don't know by how much or who they really are anymore.
when you finish with Tame Impala you can enjoy POND, a band made up of the same musicians with albums produced also by Kevin Parker: *Man It Feels Like Space Again* / *Beards, Wives & Denim* / *Hobo Rocket* / *The Weather*
