A very beautiful summers day in Wales to be travelling by bus. Well seeing that it's obviously the school holidays at the moment with the amount of background noise and chatter going on.
The most annoying thing about modern public transport here in the UK is that no one knows how to have a private conversation or to listen to music privately these days. They have loud conversations on speakerphone or via video call, almost shouting at each other and they listen to music, watch videos etc. at quite loud volumes on their crappy phone speakers. Too many don't use headphones or earbuds today and think they have a right to annoy the hell out of everyone else. Add to that just how loud visitors from the US, Eastern Europe and many African countries are when talking to each other and once fairly peaceful journeys are today a cacophony of noise. On my first bus to work in the early morning there are two guys with heavy African accents who sit on opposite sides of the bus and shout across at each other. I just don't get it, sit next to or behind each other and turn the volume down ffs. Coming home is even worse as I travel home at school kicking out time and the noise and poor behaviour of today's school children is awful that many people actively avoid any buses with schoolkids on them and will wait the 15/20 minutes for the next bus instead. OK, grumpy old man rant over :)
