I ordered a kindle signature 11th edition on prime day, got delivery, then Amazon announced the 12th edition for about $50 more. There is a significant difference, primarily in speed - I can speed through my dozens of collections that was sluggish on the 11th edition. The battery is better, interesting, it will not charge up to 100%, but stops at around 96%. The screen is a tad creamier, and I like that a lot, easier on the eyes - non blue. The big problem is finding a cover that is reasonable in price, the Amazon covers have doubled in price. The other is finding a cover that accepts wireless charging.
Hi. Is auto adjustment option on signature edition 12th worth to buy signature, does it make big deferences between paperwhite and paperwhite signature edition? What is your opinion?
See I found a used Kindle paperwhite 11th gen (in great condition) with 16GB on ebay for $70 (its tested and working). I wasn't sure if that would be the better choice between the new one (12th gen) or buy the one I found for half the price.
Excellent video comparison as always but honestly I knew which one you were going to like better in the first 90 seconds of this review just by the way you were talking. 😂
No I doubt it 😂but reading in the bath does happen. How do I know this ??? You may ask. I work in a library and you would be surprised how many books come back water damaged. Plus for all those naughty people who read on the beach please dont take library books on beach…..we know you do it….open the book and the spine has sand on it 😂
Thanks interesting info. I am wondering about all the new 2024 line up. I have an old paper white years old now one of the first paper whites which I think is 6 inches and feels like quite a small screen. Screen is ok but should I get kindle paper white 2024 or kindle signature edition. Heard that enhanced lighting feature on signature can bleed not sure exactly what that means but sounds like a poor experience. Due to wanting a large screen to read larger font on I was even wondering about the scribe although it’s rather expensive and bulky plus heavier so not sure it would be right for me. Tricky once Ive got it I will be reading of it for years so want to make correct choice.😊
hi! The scribe is much larger to hold in the hand but the 7" paperwhite will definitely feel like an upgrade over a 6". I have both sizes and think 7" paperwhites are the ideal size for most people.
Because everyone was getting one i wanted one, and the teal color...but honestly besides the faster speed i think my 11th is better! I dont like that yellow tint.
You haven't even used it. Why even buy the Kindle Paper White if you don't like the Warm light feature. The best thing about the Paper White is the warm light feature. Without the Warm light feature the Screen tint is Blue. You should Save Yourself money and stick with the Kindle Basic.
@@JesusSavesSinners no. I have a very old kindle paperwhite from 2017 with no warm light and there is no blue tint. it's pure paperlike. i also have the 11th gen and the screen is a mess. always an led afterglow no matter what setting you use, i hate it.
@@jdmmi I have one of those too. So like I said You do not like the Warm light feature. You don't have a Kindle with a Warm light so you don't know the difference between the Kindle's with the warm light feature and without it. There is a Blue light tinge with All the Kindles that don't have the Warm light feature. Like he said in this Video you can only tell when you compare them side by side. My Recommendation is still the same. If you want a New Kindle you should buy the New Model of the Kindle Basic it is Better than the Kindle Paper White you have right Now. I Love the Warm light Feature it gets rid of the Blue light and adds a lot of contrast to the text and Graphics.
@@JesusSavesSinners I think you missed the bit where I said I also have the 11th gen paper white! Which is the model before this new one. It has a warm light so I know perfectly well what I'm talking about

One thing you said is False. You said Amazon No Longer Gives Good Discounts on their Kindles. In October on Kindle Prime Day they had their Kindle Devices up to 40% off. And the Previous Prime Day in May I think it was they had their Kindle Devices up to 52% off. At least 3 times a year Kindle E-Readers are sold at huge Discounts. When I Bought my Kindle Scribe I Saved 52% on it. I have Never paid full price for any of my numerous Kindle Devices I have bought over the years.
Hi! I host Amazon live streams for over 5 years with thousands of daily streams and the Kindle paper-white deals used to drop to $70 on prime day and $50 for kindles. We have no seen any Kindle deals close in 2 years.

I don’t read in the shower but I read in the bath and I usually get tired and so far I’ve been lucky when I fall asleep in the bath and wake up right before the kindle would have both water.

Has the Bluetooth been upgraded at all. The connection drops really easily on the old one.
Hi! I haven't noticed any drop connections yet. I don't think they upgraded the modem but will investigate further.
I would love to see one with a lanyard hole to carry it with. Modern pockets sizes just don't align with the tech we want to carry
Can this new Kindle paperwhite connect to a PC to upload ebooks?
Yes you just plug it in the same way as the previous one
