Battery life is certainly better, I'm definitely charging less often, but I haven't quantified the upgraded battery life. However, if the original 1200mAh battery gives the Nari 16 hours of battery life, then a 2400mAh battery should give it 32 hours. It pretty much scales linearly
update: its stopped working completely lol after i broke the small board that was attached to the battery and i tried to solder it directly without it i'm plugging to charge it its showing red but not turning on.
@@Maker_HQ i just bought v2 pros. I will tell you, battery wise, amazing it lasts daysss. Sound wise..? not even close to the nari ultimate sadly.. ESPECIALLY! if you enjoy using the vibration setting (haptic), i miss it so dearly.. also if you like listening to cranking max volume music on the nari, blacksharks volume is also not very loud.. its hard to vibe to good songs if you care alot about audio like myself.. so my nari was broken thats why i orders the v2's. The next day i decided to open up my naris and fix it myself, i did it and dont regret it, will just keep the v2's as a spare headset i guess xD Nari Ultimate is an amazing headset.. Haptic, loudness, supreme bass, good audio quality in general, comfy for big head dudes like me. the cons are bad tho.. battery life is hideous.. micro usb is hideous.. volume wheel over time gets problems and starts giving crackling noises when you spin it.. all annoying and repetitive, yet so easily fixed.. i am so frustrated at razer for discontinuing the nari's they are such small easy fixes that would make this headset go above and beyond
im thinking of modding my headset to a usb C tbh but im afraid to break it again , lol (i've had 3 razer nari ultimates btw, all shared the same flaws eventualy degrading heavily over time on what i mentioned)
Quick question, what insulation are you using for the batteries? I want to try this out, but don't want to find out the hard way that I used the wrong insulation and it fries itself lol. Thank you
Any updates on how it turned? Does it fully charge? How much time last with the 18650, im going to put two 18650 but externally and an externar battery controller
@@1ZiKmA1 yeah, it definitely worked and improved battery life. While I don't see any reason the battery shouldn't fully charge (seeing as the OEM battery is lithium and my replacement is also lithium), the charge light never did turn off, no matter how long they charged for. So it was a success, one minor bug, but I've since moved to the blackshark v2's.
Thank you so much for replying, let me explain really quick why it doesn't fully charge anymore, one of the reasons is because the charging board used on this type of electronics is made to charge specifically for the size of the battery included in the device, part of it is because they don't really expect us to replace those, I think is cheaper than to put a general charger but that's my speculation, we can change that if we move a couple of resistors to match the cut off for the capacity we're using, unfortunately I'm not savvy enough to guide you through that
@@1ZiKmA1 interesting. I guess that prevents overcharging to a degree, but I would hope they instead put a charger on the board to fully charge whatever cell is attached to 4.2v

how much battery time do you get with the 18650 battery ?
Might have to do this because battery life of my razer nari is getting pretty bad

@@Maker_HQ lol I fked up big time well I think it's enough I have them for 4 years now gotta change them.

Could you give more details on how it broke exactly? Did it short out or are the contacts burnt out?

@@that_interesting_bird kapton tape is pretty widely used in battery building, it's tough and temperature resistant.

I'm going to use a battery holder for two batteries, I'm going to try to share it when I'm finished 😁

You are 100% correct, that's the purpose, the second one is to deter repairings, long love to the right to repair
I'm trying this now because my battery life is so bad it's always red even if i put it on charge for 24h won't change green, Hope this works.
what he fails to tell you is it takes SOOOOOOO much longer to charge. It does not charge faster.. been there done this when it first came out.
Yeah it definitely takes longer, but I've always done it overnight so not something I really notice
