Daily dose 986 ua-cam.com/video/s9N24zD1acU/v-deo.html It's really a fun build if you can get yourself to the good spot I wouldn't mind seeing it again out of the hangar ^^
That was me and yes, I believe my build was inspired by one of Baraduls vids. Before I've been running 2 HPPC's with medium lasers or something, I rarely play these days upd: just checked the vid above and its kinda different, I run less heatsinks, ferro and light engine 305 without TC1. So it is bit hotter but runs 76 kph. Build code AC0920>1|i^|i^|Wgpg0|i^|I@qg0|i^|I@rX0|I@sX0|I@tj0uj0v
"I think we are out of rang..." Mistakes were made :D Great games Bara. Very respectable damage for a Raven only do 83 kph. When I saw that I thought, oh hell's no. He dead :D But you kicked butt in it. Thank you for the videos.
Playing tabletop MW we used to have 'mismatched' games of assault v heavy companies, Heavy v medium companies, or assault company v med batalion. if the piloting skills were even, the vistory usually went to the most manuverable. Assault mechs are best used in areas where the manuvering options are limited. you had the oposite, while the bigguns could press in, they were getting hit from multiple directions, the war of manuver won again :)
use whatever vision mode you like and need, because if you need it to see, the same way, we, the viewers will see as well what you are shooting at. This is not a 3rd person obserview replay viewer that shows the whole battlefield, but a 1st person pilot view
This video is the definitive proof that for light 'mechs in general, and especially for XL-unfriendly ones, like RVN, speed=armour. I could never feel safe in mine if I wasn't able to at least outrun mediums. I ran a similar build with XL-225 on it a long time ago, it was fun for a while, but I still prefer PPCs over LL.
I use this build on the Raven-2X, its a little bit faster at ~112kph and a little hotter and no ECM. It has a bonus that the armour shield on the side of the 2X looks awesome with buccaneer camo!
@@IxusNaugus definitely not, it doesn't make a good in your face confusion sowing light, more for skirmishing with mediums and missiles from 3--400 or narcing or with LLaser sniping
2 large with an ER med so you can upsize the engine works better in my experience. If you want to strap 3 large lasers to a light mech go with the panther-8z, it has absurd large laser quirks. -25% large laser CD, -10% duration and -5% heat. and goes just as fast as this raven but with jump jets.
Build suggestion: 6x ERPPC 29x DHS DWF. But the twist is, ONLY single shot chain fire allowed. Trust me, it's a hell lot of fun, the heat management combined with the cool down time of ERPPCs, it means basically an endless stream of ERPPC shots. Watching someone caught out and panic at why they're getting hit constantly by PPCs is hilarious. Enemies will think you're running a joke Direstar build and underestimate you. I've push entire lances of mechs back into cover, shutting down the push, with a single DWF running this. Not to mention when you're about to die, you have the one-last-F-you button at your disposal
Nice matches with a classic, though not as classic as the now-obsolete underfunded 2ERLL raven. I gotta say, 80ish kph is bleh, though clearly it works. But an Adder goes around 105 with nodes so still not the best comparison. Maybe Panther or urbie..., and the cougar was...high 80s? Anyway, nice work. Props to the catapult pilot game 1, and teams seemed decent in this.
Been having great fun with a Stealth Raven with an XL295, 3 medium pulses, and 2 rocket launcher 20's Its great for absolutely ruining an assault's day with a cheeky backstab, and 3 medium pulses can pump out some damage 12 double heat sinks lets you cool even with stealth armor (strip the armor of the rocket arm down to 1 point since you dont really need it and it doesnt shield to get the tonnage)
Nice sneaky beaky (pun intended) play there. Has PGI given any explanation as to why since the pilot skill changes were made the matchmaker seems to be more consistently drunk? As these mismatches in terms of armour seems very bizarre
I used my Raven as a sniper with 2 ER large lasers:) Having ecm is nice and i wanted to distract the opponents as much as possible. I ran at 97kmh but main problem was my team didn't pay attention to me either LOL. Like yyou they get in the way more than help.
I absolutely looove the raven aesthetic, definitely my favorite looking mech
Hey Catapult 4x Snubs could be fun to see next time this guy in first match was good

i run it and it's hilariously fun, the only downsight is that you are toasty squishy and if alone already dead LOL

Snubs have higher than normal maximum range. At ~500m out they're still doing half damage.

LOVE the Raven. Played it since early beta. Such a beast and so versatile!
in Game 2 when you realise you're facing a concave firing line, you're normally dead. Thankfully they were split and your little Raven got max damage!
THAT'S what ER stands for! How have I been following this setting for so long with realizing this?
Oh nice, this is exactly how I've got my Raven set up. Works wonderfully.

Raven is such a beatiful looking mech
Is it?
@@acetylcholine3 yup. :)
It is one of my favorites from when I started playing years ago when there was basically just one map to play on lol.
it's hitboxes aren't pretty though... definitely not a mech you want to get shot at
@@IxusNaugus definitely not, it doesn't make a good in your face confusion sowing light, more for skirmishing with mediums and missiles from 3--400 or narcing or with LLaser sniping
Not a fair fight. Only 5 assaults vs Baradul + Brios.
That game was cra-a-zy.
Maybe the matchmaker knew something we didn't.

Bara: * *cooked* *
BrioS: I WILL AVENGE YOU!
My very first mech. It's nostalgic.
Awesome. Love me some Raven shenanigans.

Oh, this build is a classic! The good old Thousand Years of Pain build. I prefer two ER large lasers and the fastest engine.
Damn... now I want to play sneaky bastard with an AC20 Enforcer...
Really was not aware of the 4P Variant... for whatever reason.
Ahhh good ole War Criminal Baradul is BACK! :P
12:01 i like your cut G
Raven always gets love from me.
That cata was pretty good.
Good old Sidestrafe build
How about that 8SRM6 MAD2 build that wrecks! Would love 2 see u play that
Build the most powerful Urbiemech that you can. So Oscar the grouch can go stompie stompie.
I was waiting for you to play Raven at Battletech...
I suck at playing this mech and want to learn from someone who knows how.
Still looking for the six LB5X dire wolf.

what year is it?! i thought YT suggested a 2015 video

Can you show some setups without P2W Mechs all the time?
Not a drop ship, a broke ship.
A dropped ship, if you will
First view first comment!! Love you bro keep up the good work!
