I'm going to try these little critters in freshwater. See if I can't get a Buffalo or common Carp to munch one, they'll probably think what in the world is that? After all, that's what a fishing lure does it lures them in.
Cary are you trying to imitate a crab or crayfish? If crayfish try the redfish critter but splay a hackle on each side of the fox and it will be good to go
Good I'm going to do that very nice fly I'm liking them claws thanks
Might be time for a new pair of scissors ✂️!! Nice fly!
I still have a pair I got in 1997. They are used to cut brush wire now but they do work

What thread are you using?
I use 140D. Either Danville or UTC. I use those on almost every fly I tie
do you think this would work to imitate river crabs for yellowfish?
I am not familiar with yellow fish but this is definitely a great crab imitation
@@cwflies Here in south africa, instead of crayfish in our rivers, we have freshwater crabs, and yellowfish love a little crab
Depending on size this would be great. If the crabs need to be smaller I would also look at my video on flexo crabs.
@@cwflies thanks!
