Lastly you know Kyle Pitts would get a small percentage of run plays such as end arounds and screens designed for him as well with the 49ers.
anyone worried about Pitts is blind . Because one thing is one way does not mean it is that for another reason . Pitts is a generational TE and one that will play for the hall of fame being picked in the 1st round . No amount of failed Tes means jack .
My only worry is if he doesn't evolve and become just a half decent blocker/te teams will narrow in on the passing game. Making Davis beat them. It'll be tough
This is a banger but alex in my opinion pitts is a tight end but can be moved around a lot or whatever team drafts him should have two tight end so pitts can be that flex guy and. Become more a wr and that other takes his place for blocking so pitts doesn't have to have a problem blocking
Fair take, I don't think there's 0 chance he can succeed as a TE, but his most valuable skills/traits are all as a WR. Can he develop into an adequate blocker is my question
I agree, he's more a TE2, HBack and Z, as a "move" Tight End. He cannot be a number one or two Wide Receiver, and He cannot be a Number one Tight End. He should have a blocking Tight End in front of him, a guy like Jason Witten or Mercedes Lewis type who can bully Linebackers and hold their own against Defensive linemen
He's 100% a TE #1, his blocking is good enough and he's a willing blocker. He also can be a WR #1, I don't get where you get that from being that he's 6'6 250 runs a 4.46 and literally has hands like Larry
@@mrfrostynippels3187 I always come across "fans" like you whenever I comment. You need to remove yourself from emotion to make clear judgement. That's why I can't take you seriously. I think he's gonna be a pretty solid blocker in the NFL with time. I've seen much worse blocking in college from NFL TEs, and they weren't 10lbs undersized(Tyler Higbee and Goetert ctm). Give him two years and natural weight growth that I think will come and he should be pretty solid there. Only a handful of TEs each year are good blockers and receivers in NFL anyways.
Pitts could easily put on 20lbs of muscle in the NFL and learn technic from the veteran blocking tight end on whatever team he goes to. Kyle Pitts should stay as a tight end if he wants to be a stand out super star in the NFL
1:40 If you talk about catch radius, I immediately think of Laquon Treadwell, who was also supposed to have the best catch radius of any prospect in years.
To be fair he was an extremely average athlete for a WR not to mention to be one drafted first round . He was stiff in the hips, not very fast , and was a limited route runner . Plus taller slow “go up and get the ball” type WRs are a dying breed , Kyle Pitts is a freak athlete WITH precision route running . He’s got a lot higher floor than treadwell too as a rookie

As you said, the best tight ends in the league aren't 1st round picks. you can get great value out of tight ends in later rounds and in my opinion, they should not be taken in the first round unless it is a luxury pick, much like a runningback. You can get great value for them in later rounds.

@@ford1chevy2dodge3 yeah i see what you mean but he is by far the best TE prospect this year and a team with a young Qb is going to want to get a weapon like him
@@DylanBlakeGolf The only team that truly makes sense to take him top 10 is Cincy. But it would be crazy to take him at 3(4?). Especially considering your QB just got injured and needs protection. Hes no good if you have no time to get him the ball
Though putting him a WR is an option if you have a TE who can catch, run routes, blocking (which anyone can learn) and has speed, that more than anything shatters defensive schemes. Nothing is worse on a defense than a putting them in a preputial restart 1st down situation having slower LB'ers becoming more fatigued opens up big plays down field. Enter Kittle, Gronk, Kelce, Gonzalez. I think that position if utilized well keeps defenses honest and spreads the field and opens it up for for WR's, RB's and other TE's. I like your perspective though, insightfully put together.
It's the offense coordinator job to take advantage of this tweener, all I know is he finishes plays in the endzone. Most tight ends can catch the ball but get caught from behind. Pitts outran safeties to the endzone
I'm hoping Denver Broncos get him @ #9!! If we want better QB stats and moving the chains on 3rd down?? This is definitely our 1st round pick 2021!! We have tight ends. We have WR speed. Kyle can be left alone to scoop in record touchdown numbers!!
Kyle Pitts is the best player per value among the top prospects. Maybe it depends where he goes. but on the "right" offense he will be an unstoppable nightmare. he is my number one target for sure. Pitts is a star in the making. And a star belongs with other stars. Blue stars that is. Kyle Pitts and Dak Prescott would be a great combo for years. And since we gave Dak his dollars. Let's reward him further with a super weapon to throw to. C'mon Jerry bring Kyle Pitts to America's Team.
A lot of talk about the 49ers taking him. Idk how Id feel about that. We've spent so many high picks on pass catchers lately with dante pettis, jalen hurd, deebo samuel and brandon aiyuk. We need help in the secondary and offensive line. I know its about best player available, but still. Cant really let these pass catchers eat if the QB has no time, or if the Qb is bad
I think he should move to wr when he gets to the league. He's not a good enough blocker to be a te in the league rn, he should become a Megatron type player.
He could be a huge problem at wr I think if he changes to wr he will still be top 5 on his team but if he stays at te he just needs some more muscle and work on his blocking
Kyle Pitts, at 6-6 245, if utilized by the Atlanta Falcons the right way, is going to tear up the NFL. Pitts is more like Calvin “Megatron” Johnson than Travis Kelce.
I'll say use him as a big slot early in his career and limit his blocking reps. This way you expand on his best traits while still giving the offense the option to have him useful in in-line blocking situations. I don't think he'll ever be a great in-line blocker and I see him somewhere in the mold of Mike Gesicki to Darren Waller. High praise but both are very limited blockers and you can't expect him to be much in the run game at the NFL level. cardinal rule: If they couldn't physically and consistently do it in college they are not doing it at the next level
Great take Odarris, Waller even played WR at Georgia Tech in college. There's some talk of teams moving Pitts to WR full time, I'll be interested to see if they do
i was thinking that, most years there is one WR that goes top 10 or top 5 in the draft while TE usually not, and they get paid way more, kitlle and kelce cap hit is 15m, while that the number of landry and kupp
He just ran a 4.46 40. I think that officially makes him a better WR than Chase. He's stronger and better catching contested passes... and he may now be faster in a straight line.
I am looking forward to seeing him but also foresee a switching of roles. He will not be risked blocking DEs like Young, Bosa etc. Blocking college vs NFL is a little bit of a hike in terms of physical endeavour. Hope he gets to showcase his huge talent.
Are we drafting Eric Ebron with hands or are we drafting a 6'6" slot receiver with speed in the 4.5's? I'm not taking either in the top 10, and I'm definitely not taking him if the big idea is that I'm going to ask him to beat number 1 corners in the NFL. Ultimately, if the thought process is that he should play receiver, I'm not taking him above at least 4/5 guys at the position. The fact is, the league just isn't good at developing talent which is why it supports 3 years in college... And that's certainly more true for the tight end position than it is for any other position. We all want these hybrid ends to work but they never do. Tight end value has increased with everyone wanting a Kittle, Kelce or Gronk but what makes them so special is that they are also great blockers. It's not speed freaks that excel, it's all-rounders. Another fact? Good coaching staffs probably won't want to take him because they'll want someone in round 1 who can come in straight away and do what they ask. Bad coaching staffs are likely to be more attracted to the prospect of what could be without ever being able to really get him there. The immediate sky-high expectations and that long learning curve if he is to be a truly great tight end for the crappy team likely to take him in the top 10, scares the hell out of me... Tbh there's only 4 or so coaches in the league, not named Sean Payton, that would make me somewhat comfortable taking Pitts. Only 2 of them are in the top 16 and neither is taking a tight end.
great receivers always out produce great tight ends. But I agree that he is a receiver. I don't think TE's are more valuable, that's just absurd. Where, or who has more receiving records, WR or TE? WR's block too. And before you anyone says that they don't block LBs or DL, in the offense lines up in a 4 wr set, blocking lb's become moot.
simply put, kyle pits could be a jet sweep gadget guy if u needed him, hes runs like a steam train so put him in the slot and see what he does after the catch, hes got height weight speed combo of calvin johnson so send him on go s, who cares where hes played, hes the craziest recieving prospect in a year where a wide out that wasnt him won the heisman, and hes big enough to block the edge and a good coach will help him better that part of his game and hell be dallas clark meet julio jones, just u watch lol

What do you mean "bigger" he's 6'6 250...
@@mrfrostynippels3187 he’s 240, stop lying

@@mxfilms9738 he looks a big ah Michael thomas🤣
@@mxfilms9738 No, he's a 6'6 WR with a 4.46 40 yard dash. I'd say he's like a juiced up Darren Waller.
I think it depends the system he gets in and how creative the OC can get. You can definitely make him a mismatch at receiver and I think that would be his best shot. Definitely in the slot against linebackers. But also as an X he’ll make his money. His ability to win 50/50 will keep him valuable.
He was definitely drafted to replace Julio
I watched all of Florida’s games and have been watching pitts for as long as he’s been there. I’ve never seen an issue with his blocking. A couple of the blocks in the video weren’t bad at all and with proper coaching he can easily be even more explosive. Most top TE’s line up in the slot these days anyways. I’m a Miami dolphin fan and I honestly think we should take him. He’s the best athlete in the draft IMO. A beats all around and he has soooo much potential
This is my first video I’ve watched of yours and I have to say I will definitely maybe consider watching more
I will definitely maybe consider appreciating the love!
This video was AMAZING. I’ve been FASCINATED by Kyle Pitts & I’m beyond excited to see how he does at the next level
Appreciate you Justin! Yeah, he'll be super interesting to follow. I hope a team let's him play in space a bit more, I imagine he will at the next level

@8:51- Pitts did NOT miss his block. the HB missed the cavern he was supposed to run through.
He can pass block well. I see him as a Darren Waller type weapon for years to come.
Was waiting for this video. And sure enough we are on the same page been on pitts for the last 3 years. and i always said when he gets to the NFL he will be an all pro WR if he cant put on weight
A TE that can’t block, Ahh yes, what can go wrong here?

He's a YAC monster yet to be unleashed. I see his value in a run-first offense with Pitts as a wideout. With his size, I think he'd be a good match vs CBs on outside runs. Play him to his strengths and mitigate his glaring weaknesses.
This is a good video but man I preferred your other thumbnails IMO 😀

One of the scariest things about Kyle Pitts is that if he will commit to playin TE he has yet to fully develop into his frame...
If Atlanta doesn’t go qb or trade down I have a feeling it’s going to be Pitts. They have the receivers for him to tutor under Arthur smith could build a game plan around him and none of Atlanta needs have prospects projected around 4

Not everybody can be Darren Waller.
I think his blocking was adequate but that is definitely something that he can work on considering his size and what he has shown glimpses of during his breakout season but yes that receiving threat is the real deal for his Success in the NFL.
I wish the Ravens could get him! We need somebody like this!
who knows lol, maybe the issues Alex has pointed out will cause him to fall in the draft, or maybe Ravens trade up. Baltimore would be a good fit too bc he could just play receiver since they already have Mark Andrews and at least one other good TE, only issue is whether he can run-block well enough
Any receiver or tight end will be a bust on the Ravens, Jackson is a garbage passer, thats why no big name free agent wide receiver will ever sign in Baltimore.

He wont fall that far
I think Kyle Pitts perfect landing spot would be with the 49ers. Kyle Shanahan would make great use of his athletic potential moving all over as a mismatch nightmare.I’m also sure KS could mold Pitts into a much better blocker as well. Lastly you know Kyle Pitts would get a small percentage of run plays such as end arounds and screens designed for him as well with the 49ers.
Agreed
He just ran a 4.46 40 wow whatever he is he's gonna be an amazing pass catcher and perennial pro bowler in the league. Safest pick of the draft imo
If you can't block and you can't release when you're lined up tight, you're not a tight end.
Great offensive coaching will use him in ways that cater to his skill set..
anyone worried about Pitts is blind . Because one thing is one way does not mean it is that for another reason . Pitts is a generational TE and one that will play for the hall of fame being picked in the 1st round . No amount of failed Tes means jack .
I see him as a WR in the NFL. He's bigger/better than college athletes, but if NFL LBs or linemen line up against him, their QB is jelly toast.
You know nothing, he literally is a good and willing blocker elite or great no but good yes.
My only worry is if he doesn't evolve and become just a half decent blocker/te teams will narrow in on the passing game. Making Davis beat them. It'll be tough
I was watching nfl network and they were talking about pitts and I thought he should be a reciver
Pitts is the most dominant receiver prospect since Megatron/Julio IMO. I’d love to see what you think about Micah Parsons!
@@AlexRollinsNFL yea u right

He cannot be a number one or two Wide Receiver, and He cannot be a Number one Tight End. He should have a blocking Tight End in front of him, a guy like Jason Witten or Mercedes Lewis type who can bully Linebackers and hold their own against Defensive linemen
He's 100% a TE #1, his blocking is good enough and he's a willing blocker. He also can be a WR #1, I don't get where you get that from being that he's 6'6 250 runs a 4.46 and literally has hands like Larry

I always come across "fans" like you whenever I comment.
You need to remove yourself from emotion to make clear judgement.
That's why I can't take you seriously.
You are wrong about his blocking ability. ALWAYS be wary of drafting a Tight End this high. If your planning to use him more as a Split End or a "move" TE, ala HBack, TE2, Aaron Hernandez, then He will be successful.
He may develop INTO a decent blocker, but don't count on it.
Excited to see what he can do for the falcons
Man I think he is a next Travis Kielce, dude has the size and speed that will break defense apart. I truly do think the falcons should draft him, he would be a stud in Arthur smith offense.
Except Kelce was a better blocker out of the gate
SanFranFan30 but still isn’t that good of a blocker, kelce is average-above average at best blocking, unlike mr. kittle who is the best blocking TE in the game
@@eliasgonzalez5357 Yeah I know that, and as niners fan I love Kittle, but this comment had nothing to do with him, so there's no reason to bring him up, we are talking about Kelce and Pitts here.
@@eliasgonzalez5357 TJ Hocksen and Marcedes Lewis are better blocking TEs
MFox than kittle?? You are crazy, kittle is undoubtedly the best blocking te
He is going to the Atlanta Falcons #RiseUp

You can get great value for them in later rounds.
generational talents are exceptions
@@DylanBlakeGolf How many generational talents actually come out screaming and tear the league apart? Mahomes was not considered one, yet here we are. Ryan Leaf was considered a generational talent. Coming to Miami!
Might have the most success as a Calvin johnson or dk metcalf type wr
Split end running gos, comebacks and post routes all day...nah.
I think he should move to wr when he gets to the league. He's not a good enough blocker to be a te in the league rn, he should become a Megatron type player.
With the 6th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select, Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida.
He definitely looks like receiver first to me, Calvin Johnson type a guy, not seeing TE but maybe he develops with the right coaching.
HE WILL BE A TOP 7 pick
Agree. I’m saying top 6
He could be a huge problem at wr I think if he changes to wr he will still be top 5 on his team but if he stays at te he just needs some more muscle and work on his blocking
Reminds me of Plaxico Burress. That said, put this guy in the slot and he'll tear it up
are tight ends actually more valuable than wide receivers? draft and salary cap allocation would suggest otherwise
What TE led the NFL in TD's last year? One of those weapons Aaron Rodgers doesn't have, Robert Tonyan.
Yes sir💪🏾
yes sir!!
There's some talk of teams moving Pitts to WR full time, I'll be interested to see if they do
As a gator fan please let him fall to a good team along with kadarius toney and Kyle trask
what about TJ hockenson 1st rounder pro bowler this year 2nd year in the league
He’s a weapon that’s so versatile
I hope Atlanta uses him well and doesn’t ruin his career by putting him in bad situations
TE’s aren’t more valuable than WRs it’s rare for a TE to even be a #1 option and even more are to elite at pass catching and blocking
i was thinking that, most years there is one WR that goes top 10 or top 5 in the draft while TE usually not, and they get paid way more, kitlle and kelce cap hit is 15m, while that the number of landry and kupp
God if the ravens get this guy!!!
As great as Pitts would be on the 49ers...we still need a QB in the first round this year
A year later-what rookie from Atlanta made the pro bowl this year....at TIGHT END?
I’m just saying UF has a good history with our TEs in the NFL
Aaron Hernandez...
@@owenlefkowicz Who was pretty good on the field

great receivers always out produce great tight ends.
More receiving yards doesn't win football games
