I e recently bought an 93 aero 6 speed and it appears to be leaking oil around the bell housing, would seals cause this effect? Seems to be wet the whole way round, and it only drips whilst engine running, thanks
Hey I like this video but also want to know what car this tranny came out of. Is it a f40 mt2 maybe with the metric small pattern bellhousing to fit a Pontiac G6 ? I am looking for a very strong tranny to hold a lot of horse power .
@@kylekranz38 thank you for the reply. You said 2012 Buick Regal GS. I need a strong transmission like this one for sure. Putting it in a 500 horsepower turbo 4-cylinder Volkswagen for drag racing. I know it won't 50 Volkswagen engine but I have a adapter plate made. Now I can bolt any metric pattern GM transmission 2 Volkswagen water cooled 4 cylinder engine. Thanks again for that information
Hello and good morning, I'm installing ATB diff to my FWD F40 gearbox. My Old Bearings was "Tapered roller bearing NP727209 / NP106970 TIMKEN" or " NP727209 - 90KA1" I bought one set new from Ebay. They show me TIMKEN pictures and Send me pair of "SKF 32010 X/CL7C VB026" now. They have the same angle of contact. TIMKEN has bigger roller diameter with 23 rollers. SKF has smaller diameter roller with 25 rollers. Do you think I should use 32010x instead of TIMKEN. Did you have any problems with bearings ? Can you or anybody help ?
Transmission is a f40 manual 6speed out of the buick regal gs, also used on the Cobalt ss 2.0 turbo since the gears are way thicker.

12' buick regal gs... they should hold 600whp no problem.
