- You accidentally damaged your hat, what are the next steps to restore your hat? Christian Cattatini, hat collector and Lids Social Media Manager, walks us through how to properly restore your hat with the help from some grocery bags and a steamer.
Using a brand new hat for a restore video is wild 😂
💀
Crazy af
😂
Mind blown 🤯
I'm dead. This is so true.
Aight but let me tell you that hat wasn’t ever damaged besides the little dent you put in the front
Mr. Harvard over here
Great video bro, it worked ! If you don’t have a steamer you can boil a pot of water until steaming point & hover the hat over the steam.
Oh yea
Step 1: own a hand steamer
Step 2: use it.
If u got a kettle boil some water open the little spout and use the steam
Bro that hat was just pushed in. You didn’t need the steamer for that lmao
I have some work out hats that I sweat a ton in and after washing them they lost their shape and deformed quite a bit. I rinsed them immediately after the gym with hot water, stuffed the plastic bags in and form the shape and place them on my floor heating vents and by morning they're good as new! Thanks bro you saved me some money.
Some creases never go away. Sometimes when it's done, it's DONE. 💀
Baseball lids.... you made this look so easy..... you're a genius!!
Much appreciated.......
THANK YOU MY MAN, I ordered my hat in the mail and they put a dent in my hat while delivering it, thanks to your video I fixed it back to the original form👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Life Saver! God bless you sir
Very helpful and concise thank you!
God bless you hat King. May you live 1000 years x
Way to reshape a brand new hat 🔥🔥🔥🔥
He got you fools to view his video! 🔥🔥🔥
i just use a spray bottle, warm water, spray the inside and outside, i use my moms old cooking pot which is the perfect size and shape for my old caps and line the hat with a large enough cloth inside and let it take shape in the sun or fan. i wish i could post before and after photos cuz the transformation was unbelievable. ive restored 3-4 crumbled destroyed hats like new using this method, never tried a steamer yet
How many minutes in the sun? 😢
Make a video on it. Don't you see how many people are watching these videos to restore our fitteds.
LMAOOOO yo kids be capping 🧢 literally 😂
Thank you, big brother. Peace!
Thank you Christian
Everyone should take a lesson from you. If you want to know how to do something right and learn to do it fast this is your guy. No b.s. just get to the point. Love it.
Im gonna show you how to fix it. First, take a brand new hat like the one i have here ..
Would a hair dryer work
I peep that copper yankee with the 125 year patch and the bronze pin in the bg
Can you use an iron that has a steamer function?
aye thanks man you saved like 4 hats of mine from going to shit
Where you get that steamer at bro?
What do you do if It's a trucker hat and the back is nylon? You'd melt it with steam. Any ideas? (I'm talking about removing the two creases in the nylon that are there because it was folded to sit on a shelf like that.
Where to store the hats? I have quit a few of them and messed them up stacking them on top of each other because I have no room for them anywhere. They collect dust like crazy in my room so I put them in the trunk of my car to protect them. Now they are all smashed from being stacked on top of each other.
What steamer is being used?
Nice
That hat was crushed for like 3 min… no dents, no creases poor video
Like fr
Thank you! 🧢 fixed…If you don’t have a steamer, boil water and hover over pot steaming water.
Hey boss, I've got a dark blue cap with these pink stains above the brim.
Ive tried shampoo, dawn, a tide stick and nothings worked so far. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽
Can you explain the difference between different kinds of hats and what makes them unique?
An old ass hat you cant get anywhere you've wornfor years that has a unique design you haven't ever seen and can't find there's nothing else as far as I can see unless it's material or stitching uniqueness
😂😂 bruh c'mon that was a brand new hat to begin with you just put a little dent in the front for the video stop the capping with the cap
Lids going up imtellinyou!!!🎉❤
Awsome but what about the brim
I need to know that, too. I had already thought about using a steamer but how to hold a flat brim long enough for the steam moisture to dry would be something to know. Place it on a table then put a brick on it?
@@bamapoppy i endeid up puting it between two peices of a 2x4 and claping them
Can I use a regular iron ?
Yes
Iron a rounded hat with a flat iron? Um, no
@@bamapoppyI’m sure he meant the steam from the iron 😂
You can also lay it over a new hat
when he was steaming the hat, the top looked like the grinch
nice so let’s show us how to restore a hat… this man uses a brand new hat as an example… you can’t make this up..
What about the brim
You literally pressed the hard part of the hat in… that hat is brand new.
A brand new hat for this video is ridiculous bro come on show us on a real creased up older hat
What can be done if the cap is a little high on me? It can adjust with hot air?😢
What do ya mean by that
@metalheadweeb7132 I mean that the cap does not sit on the top of the head. There is a space between the cap and the top of the head. What could be done to make the cap sit completely on the head?😢
Lets see one with an actual crease on the buckram and not oke that wasnt even damaged to begin with
This up there with best of them for time wasted watching a video!! You couldve just pushed the inside of your brand new hat out too. Wouldve taken 2 seconds
Restoring a brand new hat 😅
I don’t know why people are hating. Mine was completely destroyed and it fixed it
Also instead of bags I used a balloon
Anybody has Coupon code for Lids??
How does a guy fix a muffed up bill?
i dont have a steamer....
Can I take my hat to you guys
Better idea: Just watch dre in 616 for the proper methods on reshaping hats.
Lmao restore a new hat
🧢Literally 😂
wow so you need a steamer?? gosh!!
Can we get an actual damaged hat?! 🤦🏽♂️
Ironic how im reshaping a rangers hat 😭
This was disappointing. Ya gotta do better.
U think we wouldn't notice how u just put a small dent in a new hat and try act like it was really worn out. That's not a real restoration my guy
Couldn’t you just steam it or wash it with the hat cage y’all sell for 15 bills lol
Could probably use a balloon.
These comments are hilarious
I hat lids I went to one and used my visa and they took all the money off my visa
Bruh
Stop the 🧢
Bro, literally used a brand new hat and then pushed where the logo was to make. It look like it was dented or overused.😂😂😂 this is going to the don’t recommend or don’t have fat people show me what to do😂😂
😆😆😆😅😅😅😂😂😂😂
This is the most stupid cap reshaping that i had ever seen
He ate his worn hat so he needed to use a new one from the wall.
Sole.Pukio
Can I get my 2 min back 🤦🏻♂️
People can see the bs thru this bro no new hats for this next time then we might believe you 😂
Th!s guy don't know how 2 reshap hat's 🤬🤬😡😡
What a waste of time,,,you restored a hat that was great condition lmfao!!! ,,,,I'm looking for some place that can restore an old fitted hat that has stains on the brim and sweat stains etc etc
This was pointless
Lids is absolute garbage
That shii was wack my guy. All you did was throw a lil ahh steam on it and pop out a dent on a brand new lid 😂😂😂 come on my g you supposed to be a veteran og of the fitted game and you come out with this sorry ahh weak video. That was weak as hell 😂
Shitttt video
I never usually hate on videos, but this one was straight garbage. I'm out here tryna find some legit hat restoration tutorials, and instead, we get some big brand nonsense with a dude in a fresh hat trying to school us on restoring old ones. They got bags on bags, but dude didn't even stuff the hat right. Total waste of time. Step it up, fam.
Th!s home boy doesn't know what the hell he's
do!ng ! Try that
techn!que an the pot techn!que nope ! Just got a rubber inflatable ball an use that !t works takes out all the hard creases And hard dents !n my New Era hat's
