Native Detroiter here. It was always understood that these large and magnificent homes in the Boston-Edison area are beasts to heat, so combine that with the incredible updating and landscaping on view here, wow! Whoever did the maintenance and re modeling should get some kind of award. So impressive!
Hot Water radiant heat. Keeps things toasty without breaking the bank. Forced air heating would be expensive.
Whoever decorated that house did an amazing job. It was just beautiful...
Very tastefully done. And the furnishings are in keeping with such a historic house.
I have driven past this home several times while I was visiting my late fiancee (who was a proud Detroiter).. He exposed me to all the beautiful historical homes and areas of Detroit (Indian Village. Palmer Woods, Rosedale and his area Grosse Pointe).. He loved this city and was so proud of it.. Thank you Terrell Davis for loving this magnificent city and loving me.. RIH my love..❤️
Magnificent. A piece of Heaven on Earth. Mr. Siegel must have been a man of exquisite taste.
Another Native Detroiter...we have so much beautiful homes that were built!
Stunning piece of history
Outstanding home. The grounds are magnificent. Nothing worse than seeing a grand home on a tiny parcel.
That's beyond creepy to see that car since it was the same car that was in Dr. Devon Hoover's garage when he was murdered. Who thought that was a good idea?
It’s an incredible house with an incredible past, unfortunately, I believe the more recent past is extremely sad. I wonder if it is sold yet , it’s an absolutely magnificent property and the price is really quite amazing considering the craftsmanship and the quality and the condition.
Just sold...sad but beautiful home.
How much
all in all still a gorgeous house, I use to live down the street from that house
We never saw you around
I live at 2006 W Boston

Stunning home❤
So beautiful and tastefully done, chest exquisite. 💜 peace and love
Spectacular!
Even original homes left standing in Grosse Pointe don't have interiors this detailed.
Ohhhhhhhh YES, they do. You're woefully ignorant about Grosse Pointe historic homes & mansions.
What they don’t tell you, around the corner 2 blocks down you in the hood.
and that the previous owner was murdered in it :(
Sweet, that means it's bargain basement priced, I'll go as high as $150,000
It sold for 1,950,000
@@halliburton2488 aww. Even hood murder houses go for millions. ☹️

That house was sold...
Creepy Af
Looks very old
It was a beautiful house before Hoover got his mitts on it. He ruined several rooms, and did a poor job decorating and furnishing compared to the way it looked when he bought it. (So much for the stereotype.) Case in point: the dressing room seen at 1:51. That used to have magnificent floral patterns on the doors. Now it's gray. The bathroom at 1:46 is a complete joke -- doesn't even go with the rest of the house. I'm sure the new owner will be ruining it even worse, painting over the surviving murals, and making sure there are can lights in every ceiling.
WOW......those are some amazingly stupid insults & assumptions. The master bathroom is impeccable and is all real marble slabs from floor to ceiling and is in perfect keeping with the era of the house. You know as much about correct, residential historical restoration & renovation and real estate as you do nuclear fusion. Anyone with 1/4 of a brain doesn't buy a huge, over 100 year old, drop dead elegant house for 1.9 MILLION dollars and ruin it.
