Not a bad subject to cover, I once fitted an emergency tiller onto a nordhavn 60 in the dead of night in the Bay of Biscay in a force 8 gale. It took me several hours as I first had to read the boat manuals to find out how to do it, and secondly I was on my own! I managed to get it done and when I got to a safe harbour got a mechanic to check it, he praised my handiwork and we then freed the rudders and the props from a bloody lobster pot and cable!😂😂
A tiller thriller, A tiller the Hun, tiller killer. Handle also good for beating off pirates. ….. in ye olde days let’s say to turn to starboard man in charge would bellow hard a Port! The helmsman would push the tiller to port and boat would turn to starboard and vice versa It was one of the theories for the titanic hitting the ice cube and going from tiller to wheel steering. The helmsman may have turned in “tiller” mode ie the wrong way.
Hi guys interesting video, reminded me of George and Mildred 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yeah we thought it best to try it after 2 years 🤣 well done to you though, a lobster 🦞 pot who’d have thought 😂
With that set up it would be so easy to fit a remote control system which are wonderful for single handed boaters.
Oh I guess that’s a thought! We have seen them 😁
Love all your gadgets.
All you need now is a GOwindlass. 😮

Haha 😂 think you have covered every tiller angle pardon the pun! Didn’t know that about the Titanic would make sense! We need therapy now 🤣🤣🤣
@@WidebeamandWellingtons therapy now? 😂😂 can’t blame me for that one, you bought a boat instead of a camper 😂😂
