The most beautiful narrow boat I’ve ever seen, but alas, the depreciation factor would be the killer. A house tends to increase in value over time, but this beauty would depreciate the moment you cast off and drove off into the sunset. For a lottery winner - go for it. You only live once, For the builders of this beauty - full marks.
It's a widebeam rather than a narrowboat.
To me, living in a “narrow” narrow boat would be more like camping out. I know they can tour ALL the canals and “wide body” narrow boats are restricted to wide canals but this is spacious and has enough room for gensets, larger water tanks, etc. this would be so much more comfortable!
If the motor is powerful enough many of our rivers would be nicely explored in one of these.
@@Heavywall70 It is quite easy and relatively cheap to upgrade the motor if needed though most of the time it is powerful enough already. Also almost all of the widebeams are cat c, you can cross the channel for european canal cruising and use the sea route to travel between the north and the south canal networks in UK.and you got it right about the rivers, narrowboats are quite shaky to navigate those for sure.
An absolutely beautiful boat
The builder hasn't created a boat but a dream and I think at that price that is just what I need to keep on doing.
It felt like the first person view in a horror movie where the killer is sneaking round the house breathing heavily with excitement about what he’s about to do
If your on a boat having 'Canal time' why have an alarm clock in the bedroom??
It was the 50p added to the price tag that was the deal-breaker for me.
I will lend you the 50p if you let me have a free holiday on this bad boy
For me it was the fact this literally costs twice as much as my house...
@@audigex I wish I lived where you lived :(, houses here start at 350k
A fine example of a high quality canal boat.
Nice woodwork.
I wish that the guy and open cabinets shelled refrigerator if there was a dishwasher be more in depth about it.
Thats a lovely boat.
Stunning and I'd love to live on this boat but, at a tad over £210k, the running costs would be astronomical and I couldn't afford it! Beautiful though! Love the wood-work and overall condition.
Actually running costs of a canal boat are super cheap. While the initial cost for one like this is high, you'll be paying a fraction of the cost to live in a house. You don't even pay tax after VAT.
The only things this tour is missing are a random jumping cat and eerie music. Beautiful boat though .
In the living room area I would move that chair on the right side to the left side and then add a small sofa on the right side so 4 people could have a place to sit if there is 4 chairs to dine and 2 bedrooms for 4 people there should be a place where 4 people could sit in the living room so people add the small sofa......
Absolutely stunning
Beautiful boat!!!
Wow! My favorite long boat!
Wow, amazing spec. 😊
Love it it's a master piece
Awesome luxury fit out I bet Japanese would love this.
BEAUTIFUL AFT DECK FOR ENTERTAINING!!!
No plank, No poles: NO SALE!!
Shame the shuffling of feet and heaving breathing i thought it was a horror film i was watching
I must say that’s a fabulous idea for a scream flick
Yeah sometimes it is better to add some sort of discreet soundtrack instead. Nothing loud and annoying but just something.
the Blair Witch Barge
Would live on this boat, very nice
Seems like a very inconvenient location for the electric plug to be! Wouldn’t one on each side by the side doors be better?
This is so nice how could you not want to live on it? Beautiful, let's build some in America. A slightly larger engine and a powerful bow thruster should do it.
Why would you need a bigger engine? These aren't open water boats, they're made for canals, and narrow rivers.
@@geographyinaction7814 But what about wide rivers? Like Thames, Rhine, Mississippi, Nile etc.
@@supremeflagship8965 These boats are used on the Thames, but the lack of a keel, and the amount of freeboard, would make these deadly on large fast moving rivers. These boats were made to move cargo down narrow, man-made canals, not open water.
Impressive!
If you can get it to me in Australia, I'll buy it. Bigger than my apartment and a 1/4 of the price! Beautiful.
A bathroom with a see through albeit opaque glass door? Now that’s an unusual feature
I keep looking at this ya hey boat. I can’t help it! I’m a goner!
It’s like I’m being shown around by a burglar
hehehehehe
Lol, a few facts about the boat would of been good.
Who's that person walking with you...
Does it come with any of the furnishings
Omg wow
I want a Bespoke Aqualine wide body with house voltage (not 12 volt) (drawer style refer and freezer)appliances, gas oven, range and heating, a hybrid diesel/electric engine with maximum solar cells and batteries and a bow thruster and a Bimini top. This boat with my upgrade plan ...YES!
Opinions appreciated.
Hi We can provide with a quotation for your design with hybrid engine as soon as we know your complete specification, if you could email me your wish list direct to will@newandusedboat.co.uk I'll gladly go through the spec and get something drawn up. Kind regards Will
Hi my boss has just come in, and informed me we have an all electric boat in the planning stage which will have straight 240v into the boat with a converter to run the lights. If you would like I can ask them to discuss this with you further? will@newandusedboat.co.uk
Is this to wide for most Canals? Stunning!
Yes.
Provided I copied this correctly, this is a map of the UK canals, if it does not work just google" canal maps of uk", most are suitable for widebeams in fact, to clarify though some in the Midlands are not so you have to way all these factors up.

@@MichaelsMustang the narrow locks are the issue
It pushed it out of my price bracket.
Do any of the windows open?
All of them with a hammer 😯
❤️
176k plus vat that cannot be right !!!
So £211,485 including the vat I could buy a very nice house with a lot more room for that or an excellent holiday home abroad.
if the boat is your permanent home you pay no VAT.
What a beauty. Could i marry you for your boat? 😂
that seems a tad too overpriced especially when you add the vat
An astronomical asking price and a marketing video with ................ no marketing! Head height? Bed width? I thought the 50p might go toward that?
Boxing in Radiators is stupidly counter-productive.
Nope, I’m off to Rugby boats
Very nice boat, but not so nice price.
You could get a lot in bricks and mortar for that money.
Lovely but an awful lot of money for a depreciating asset.
The line should not be in the water
Ex VAT 😃
Jeez buddy, see a doctor about that breathing!
The Problem with this industry is they over price boats for the wealthy baby boomers no value here at all £170.000 should read £90.000 go look at park homes for better value.
Never a good thing to have ones power cable in the water!!
Why oh why would you spend that much money on a floating caravan? Its so modern that it doesnt even have a bit of old world charm as a saving grace. In fact the owners like it so much they ard trying to flog it. One other thing, why the heavy breathing? Practise?
a floating caravan?
ShipBuilding An RV or manufactured home.
v a t ahah
if you live aboard there's no VAT but still bloody dear
and wheres the swimming pool and jacuzzi
@@dougfoley7078 thanks
yep but still nice
Galley obviously designed by a man....a woman would never put the stove and sink on opposite sides! Deal breaker for sure!
How much.??I'm very interested
Very nice boat, very nice made video, but they could have picked someone who wasn't a mouth breather with COPD to video it. The whole breathing like a ruptured gorilla turned me right off it
lmao
