Omg. I get chills no matter how many times I hear this. I’m going to Sweden to meet them. I have a cousin who is famous jazz singer in Sweden, so I have an in!!!
Dude, your fans are recommending some of the best music ever! Snarky Puppy, Plini, and Dirty Loops! Holy. Just subscribed! definitely keep reacting to these genres.
I have watched many reaction videos of Dirty Loops, and they all end the same :) a dazed and mindblown facial expression and both hands on the face in disbelief haha
PLllleeeease do "Next to You" by Dirty Loops. Would love to hear your comments, especially if you want to see the bassist crank it even more than this!
Thank you for your honest critique. That's rare among reactors. I personally like long solos, especially those like this one on piano that takes me places, but I understand how others may not.
Really nice reaction. I loved your energy. The on the spot decision to not interrupt the song both made sense and was understandable. I would love to see you react to DL's song "Next to You". It has everything going full tilt. No extended solo's as here but just an epic song. "Next to You" has a unique power with all members shining but of particular note are the vocals and the bass playing. Whew, Henric-the bass player-will just blow you away. Again great energy on your part. Smart commentary. A real nice effort on your part. You get my well earned subscription. Thanks.
Coming here from Mr. Beast's shoutout. It's so cool to see your appreciation for the subs you gained just a couple weeks ago. 54.8k subs @ the time now, hope to see it keep going! Keep up the good work!
Duuuude I love this! I do see what you mean with the sections - you happened to get the song where they kinda show off each instruments a bit more than they usually do. The rest of the songs are more cohesive in terms of structure. Do you see how I made the leap from Snarky Puppy to Dirty Loops? There's more where that come from. I honestly do not think they have made a bad song yet.
I agree with this. Work Sht Out is one of the most "advanced" of their songs & covers. 😁 World On Fire, Breakdown, Hit Me etc are more "mainstream", if you can use that word about Dirty Loops... 😁
Dude - the song is crazy and at one point I felt like I heard a little reference to snarky puppy in there as well! I mean honestly maybe I was a bit too harsh on the solo stuff - it was still amazing! But I'll definitely check out their other stuff as well!
@@SoyanOsman oh, I'm quite certain you did tbh! Therea definitely some inspiration taken from Corey Henry's solo in Jonah's chord progression during his. And about the solo stuff - I totally get you! I like the first part of the song way more even though I'm stunned by the craftsmanship in the solos. I am also biased since I'm also a Swede and been listening to their stuff. You should voice you opinion! This is your channel and we like watching the reaction because we want it to be genuine and your honest take. I think you did well and I definitely might suggest more things in the future for reactions. Keep up the good work!
great reaction to a band that doesn't have a guitaris in their lineup. it would be interesting to see a cover where there is a guitarist in the lineup that can blend nicely with the parts that the drummer, keyboardist and bassist play.
I think everyone whgo likes all these dope types of genres of music love seeing NEW reaction vids to the vids they've seen already so if you keep pumping these out, tons of more subs will be coming your way!
We'll see how it goes ^^ but thank you! I enjoy these reaction videos a lot - I also dig the other videos on the channel - I just wish I had more time to do more. But 2 a week is already pushing it so we'll leave it at that for now :D
vlatko stefanovski trio - pustelija... sadly no dedicated video, but its so underrated hidden masterpiece, also if you like jazz fusion stuff that whole album is one of the kind.
Soyan, thanks for this reaction, just watched it for the second time :) You might by now have listened to all of Dirty Loops’ stuff, but just in case you haven’t, could you do a reaction vid on their tracks “Next to You”, “Rock You” and “Coffee Break is Over”, please? All of them insane tracks, -as is everything they do imho 🔥 That would be awesome, thanks bro 🙏
My favorite old school band is tool. I've seen gojira live when they opened for Metallica which was epic (so nice shirt). Anyhoo, dirty Loops is my new favorite band. So excited to see pop with technical talent. And you can't deny Quincy . He knows what's up
kcairns1, Tool was a big inspiration for Dirty Loops, -amongst many other bands, genres and performers of course. Just remembered them mentioning this in an interview :)
This was a great reaction. I'm sad that I can't find that you have done any more reactions to Dirty Loops. I do see that you did a Wulf Peck reaction. Dirty Loops did a collaboration album with Cory Wong (from Wulf Peck) and his brass section last year that you should check out. "Follow the Light", "Thriller" and "Turbo" are all great videos worth checking out. I do admit that "Work Shit Out" is a bit much but I think you will find some of their other stuff more structured and mainstream but still show their amazing musical talents. Hope to see more from you soon.
Nice to see you've found Snarky aswell! Definetely check out their older covers! A tip for another artist that started small on youtube and oozes talent is Louis Cole! Check out "F it up (live sesh)". You're in for a suprise! And of course, check out Jacob Collier! He is absolutely insane in every way at the same time.
Yeah, all great artists and bands-! As you might know, Jonah (keyboardist/vocalist from Dirty Loops) has performed with Louis Cole (see YT clip), and once called him one of the musical geniuses of our time… he also recorded with Jacob Collier on “Independent Girl”, a track from his most recent solo album. Worth checking out if you haven’t heard it yet ☺️👍
Hi! You must listening to Dirty Loops & Cory Wong cover of Thriller. Came out yeasterday. I love to hear your opinion on that. Håkan Svensson in Sweden.
If you haven't checked Jacob Collier, he's sort of a must. If you like Snarky Puppy and Dirty Loops, you'll LOVE Jacob :) I would suggest starting with his older stuff, which is just as good as the newer ones, if not even better. Some songs to consider: All Night Long, Moon River, Here comes the Sun, anything from the Djesse albums, really. Have fun!
Not sure what you're referring to with audio - but if you mean my room sound then.. well it still sounds like ass. But thats next up on my list of things to improve :) And yeah - sometimes there really is no point in dissecting things and its better to just let great artist be exactly that. Dirty Loops is one of these examples. Incredible players, great songwriting, amazing video, great energy - that was fun!
@@SoyanOsman I was referring to the audio we hear as a listener. Your audio was good like "line-in" whereas many other UA-camrs have crappy audio playback where they only pickup the target video on the microphone and do not route it internally.. Have a great Xmas.
@@MrDinoWodini Ohhh I got you - yeah well thanks for the compliment! Kinda pointless to react to music with crappy audio I guess. But I'll fix the audio for my room as well - sounds like I'm sitting in a metal tube
This song is kind of solo-based but their other songs are more straight forward. I would recommend rock you, next to you or breakdown. Since you are wearing a gojira shirt i guess you like the heavier stuff. Meshuggah - bleed (live drumcam) but sure you have heard this before. Refused - new noice. (Hardcore classic) Cult of luna - cygnus (with julie christmas) or three bridges (their newest song) post metal legends. All different styles but all of them great. And all of them from the same small city of Umeå in north sweden. :)
This is them showing more of their Jazz chops. There is less structure to allow more freedom of expression for the individual performers. If you want to listen to this taken to the absolute limit l, check out some free jazz.
Oh yeah - Plini will be one of the next ones coming up for sure - I mean I love the Neural DSP Plugin and I love his music so I'll include one of the songs I don't know on here as well!
Hey Soyan, very nice reaction, thank you. Snarky Puppy Outlier from We Like it Here or the Clearing from the album Syla, both albums are very different but both tracks I think would satisfy your inner composer.
