Thank you for your always interesting video… I hope you plan to make a video on how you upgrade your LongMill MK2 with the PcW spindle even if it is quite easy to do as you said many thanks in advance for this
I enjoyed the update video especially the part about the anti-backlash. I can not get them to scrww onto the x axis screw or the. Z axis screw. I had to use a vise gripe to hold and turn the blacksquare with pliers. They are so tight that I do not see how an electric motor will turn them. What have I done wrong and would the new white ones screw on with ease like in the video? I don't like proceeding with finishing assembly until I van resolve this. Thanks for your help. I do not know where else to turn to. I will join the blog on Wednesday to ask the CNC community what I can do. Everything else is assembling fine but the X and Z axis screws are frustrating Harvey Almarofe
Harvey, I'm sorry you're having issues with this brother. I recommend reaching out to sienci directly about this one though, they should be able to give you the best guidance. Here's the link to their contact page in case you need it: bit.ly/499dtxg.
Yup- the adjustments on those things, the finicky adjustments on the v-wheels, and the whip on the long leadscrew on the 48" wide Longmill are the reasons I sold mine and moved up to a Onefinity Elite machine. The noise, binding and chatter were too much to have to constantly deal with.
Well good for you. The Longmill is just fine, and requires only minor little periodic adjustments. Any machine will. I preferred to save just a little over $1000. Which is why most people get the Longmill. Also the community and company support can not be beat with any other company.
maddesignsllc9407, very good points my friend. The most important thing about any CNC you have is the projects that you make with it and I am very happy to hear that your Onefinity Elite is just the right thing for you!

@@LargeFry1 I had plans to buy a OneFinity before I bought my Longmill, also. However, when I compared the delivery times, I would have had to wait 6 months to get the OF, while it only took a few weeks to get the Longmill. I am very happy with my Longmill, it does EVERYthing I ask it to do, and I doubt I would have been any happier with the OF. As someone mentioned, you will have to do maintenance on ANY machine. The noise is not so much the mechanics but the router. My Longmill kinda sounds like a robot running 🙂
I have a question. Last 2 vcarves (handwriting) from left to right. Left side nice and deep and starts to get less deep as it goes to the right side. Is there a fix for that? Spoilboard is level
The link for the spindle is only showing me kits for the spindle not seeing the actual spindle. And also can this spindle work with the existing dust shoes that I have with my MK2 30x48
Thanks Garrett for showing how to replace the backsplash parts. I don’t want to bitch. You put out a lot of interesting videos. But you say we’re going to show you how to…but you don’t always show how to. The video will only be 30 seconds long. It’s like a teaser video. Thanks so much for showing how you did the upgrade.
Thank Garrett, going to get the new backlash right away. As it relates to the spindle is it more powerful thank the makita, I been wanting to get one as I hear they are much quieter than the makita router and that's a plus for me
Thanks, Garrett, my machine has been running for almost 24 months now, so I can likely use the upgrade. Have you replaced your wheels yet? Might I want to buy them at the same time?
LYTOMIZE_Woodshop, that could be a good idea brother! Having extra wheels on hand is always good for making sure you have a well running machine when that big job comes in.
seanhagerty, sorry about that brother! Check in with Sienci directly, they should be back in stock very soon. Here is a link to contact them: sienci.com/contact-us/?ref=IDCWOODCRAFT

steveoullette, thanks brother! Im so happy to hear you enjoy yours as well.
So is the difference mainly related to noise?
Nice to know before I order.
davidw, glad to hear it brother!
Good advise on the new product.
samspade, glad to hear you enjoyed this one brother.

Hey Garrett. Thanks for the video. Tell me, will I need to recalibrate my machine following installation?
Bob, you're so welcome brother! I would definitely recommend it to keep your machine and projects as accurate as possible!

The project piece thickness deviates can be a reason. Did you surface it first. Should already do that for v carve if you didn't
@IDCWoodcraft not sure why I didn't think of that. I never started the habit of surfacing even tho I do have a bit. Thanks

Read the description of the video it'll tell you what you need to do
Thanks Garrett for showing how to replace the backsplash parts.

Hi Brad. Those are what are called "shorts". They are only a minute out less. A link to the full video will be in the description

Actually you're not, they are out of stock until March, unfortunately.
DwayneJohnson, I couldnt agree more brother! The Spindle is so much more quiet than a Makita, a real game changer for sure my friend.

Hi Garrett just got to watch this video and they are all ready out of stock
daleeisenberger, sorry about that brother! They should be back in stock very soon.

philomath, sorry about that brother! I talked to Sienci about this and they ran out of stock on this one quick!

@@IDCWoodcraftNo need to apologize, you don't control their stock levels. You made me aware of them and that's a great thing!
