The Kurt cobain thing 1000% didn’t happen. Easily debunked, I think he was in europe most of that year, he wasn’t “some scraggly dude off the street” this was post Teen Spirit and he was very famous. Also how could he “like a show so much he wants to make the theme song” if it didn’t exist yet? Weird thing to make up.
Ren and Stimpy actually premiered several weeks before Smells Like Teen Spirit was released, so Nirvana weren't that famous yet. I'm not entirely sure about the schedules for TV animation, but if Kurt was really aiming to do the main theme for the show, he'd both have to have had some connection to the animation studio AND have had to pitch it early on in production, at the latest I'd guess early 1991 or even 1990, at which point Nirvana were still on an indie label and were only really well-known from college radio airplay. I'm not sure Kurt would have even been given the time of day by a studio that had a big deal with Nickelodeon. The only way I can see this being possible in any way is if there were plans to change the show's theme song in between seasons, otherwise the timelines just don't line up in any logical way.
I've heard about the Kurt Cobain Ren and Stimpy theme song and the animated Power Rangers pitch, but never the one about the Doctor Who pilot that was never picked up. Though I HAVE heard of another Doctor Who pitch made by Amblin that was proposed in the early 90's, but it never got off the ground. The one that fascinates me most is the Don Bluth version of Ice Age, which feels like a counterpart to The Land Before Time. It sort of makes me think of the early versions of Shrek, which in it's earliest form was said to be traditionally animated as opposed to CGI, and at some point a stop-motion film.
That's interesting about the telephone box. At some time in the 1960s (possibly 1966) in Australia the ABC used a drawn cameo when they were announcing the next screening of Dr Who. It consisted of an ordinary red telephone box (in black and white of course) sitting on a cloud and surrounded by a couple of what were presumably meant to be pterosaurs. Even as a child I wondered how they could get it wrong.
9:26 Whoa! Who made the cover for that? Looks fitting for Ice Age if it were directed by Don Bluth instead of Blue Sky. Reminds me of the old Land Before Time movies before they went downhill over the years.
Cannot believe I’ve never heard about the unofficial doctor who revival pilot. Also if it’s true and they were going to change the TARDIS into a red phone box - they all deserve to go to prison
3:45 Have they outlawed French in England ? Or were you schooled elsewhere (please say Hogwarts!) Such a strange name for a school. Don't you think? Do they ever explain why? Here's an idea: Lost media linked to smaller animation studios over the years like Ruby-Spears, Paramount Animation, Screen Gems, and UPA.
That's a good one

Why are lost media videos so eerie for no reason??😭
Ikr
2spooky2handle
Because lost can be mysterious, and some of the stories behind them can be a little dark
BlameitonJorge
they aren't.... use of B&W footage and eerie music in the background go into it. it's not "for no reason"
The craziest thing i ever seen is a lost don bluth movie, "Ice Age." And a legitimate "Power Rangers" animated series by DISNEY.
The Don Bluth cut would've been different than what we actually got.

I wanted to see more designs for that Don Bluth's Ice Age movie, that purple mammoth really looked interesting in his style
Titan AE and all Don Bluth movies are total treasures and need to be seen by everyone.
really would like to see more of this, also love the cry of fear music
Glad someone pointed it out
Think another famous example of lost media that may of never existed would be the King Kong ‘spider pit’ scene
8:54 Where's that from?
What is the name of the show where on one episode a headless horseman type stalks and takes out a Dwarf before he gets to his car ?
Noce
11:33 definitely seems like it was pitched but definitely doesnt seem like there was a pilot
Worked on panto with David Burton, lovely guy!
Where is my Moff?
I thought he was Grand.
Any more tcap content coming up?
Another uncut edit next week
Cannot believe I’ve never heard about the unofficial doctor who revival pilot. Also if it’s true and they were going to change the TARDIS into a red phone box - they all deserve to go to prison
Very suspect. Every time Burton got interviewed, the story got a little bit bigger.

Ever heard of the Mandela Effect?
Dr who is so boring
dude theres like 50 years of content, some of it really good, some of it goofy
@@circleinforthecube5170 Ik that's why it's boring. It's reached its peak already just like Star wars and now it's slop
Great video.
Hi Doctor Who!
