The video tour is about the temple to the deified Claudius on the Caelian hill, which has begun by Agrippina, almost entirely destroyed by Nero after the fire of 64, and completed by Vespasian. In his plan to return properties to the people, Vespasian reconstructed the temple as the Claudium, which appears in the marble Forma Urbis. The Temple of Claudius was a huge structure that towered over and dominated the surrounding area. Despite is size and the importance of its position, the temple is mentioned only rarely in literature. It is mentioned in only a single inscription, and there is no record at all of its history.
And our main goal is to create the most extensive, detailed and accurate virtual 3D reconstruction of Ancient Rome, and eventually release it to everyone using the game engine! Join and follow us!

Ancient Rome must have had some of the most spectacular monuments ever created. The sheer scale and magnificence of the Temple of Claudius would have been breathtaking had you approached it in ancient times. Just imagine the effect on visitors to Rome when they first saw the east rear facade, 200 meters long, and consisting of marble faced niches, exendra and columns with the sculptures of figures and water features.
Claudius is my fav emperor
Good choice!
WOW amazing the temple if claudius Is one of my favorite ancient Rome buildings 😄😁😊
Amazingly beautiful. Rome was the greatest empire. Thank you for bringing history to life.
Thank you.
I'm staggered at the richness and magnificence of ancient Rome as revealed in these videos. The city is so far in excess of anything I ever could have imagined. The experience is overwhelming in intensity! Thank you.
Thank you for your dedication to reconstruct ancient Rome for all of us fans of this great culture. For me, the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus remains a mystery, is there a chance to have in the future a video dedicated to it? Cheers.
Sure! In progress!
@@historyin3d 👍🤝
Really interesting and beautifully rendered as always.
Thanks!
I have been here w/my dad :] It's always been one of my favorite, less well-known Roman monuments.
I don't know if your team still has plans on continuing these Ancient Rome tour videos, but if you do, will you be doing a video on the Palatine Hill? Specifically imperial palace complex - Domus Flavia + Domus Augustana + Stadium + Domus Severiana. Ideally featuring the interiors, not just fly-bys over the complex.
Your digital recreation and narration is engrossing. Thank you🙏
Thank you for the narration, it adds a lot! I’m a new Patron!
i really enjoy anything about ancient rome. esp buildings of the elite wealthy. thanku please make as many as u can X
Fascinating as always and extraordinarily beautiful. I felt as if I were there!
Thank you! To be continued!
These immense temples required a huge amount of prime real estate of ancient rome!
I wonder if these stone temples acted like a fire break, restricting the devastated area of a city fire.
Beautiful and very interesting Words!
Wonderful work! Thank you for sharing 😊
I will definitely buy the finished product, great work
Well done.
Thank you!
this is the channel that really deserves to be supported on Patreon.
Impressive😮
Thanks! Finally I'm trying narration! Will be more!
do you know when the beautiful city will be finished?
I walked past these ruins and was wondering what was there! Nothing is really said about it (or I didn't manage to see any). What an incredible building. Great work btw, thanks for sharing.
Will this still be available for download ?
Lindo, lindo e lindo esse templo!!!😍🏛❤
Não conhecia a parte de trás do templo. É lamentável que esteja em ruínas. Obrigado por esse vídeo maravilhoso. ❤🏛❤🏛❤🇧🇷❤
Marvelous work as always!
Formidable ! Comme toujours !
Great! Like always !
Where can i find those remains shown in the picture? I went around the Celian hill but i dont remember seeing the remains anywhere. By the way awesome video as always. Thank you.
Can you tell me what book you found the map appearing in 7:21 ? I'm interested in this map.
How's the project going?
Hello History 3D, can you make a video about how Rome looked much time before 320 AD, like the year 320 BC?
That sounds interesting, but there isn’t much data on Rome during that period. The only real data we have on the ancient city is the times between the late republic, to the times of 600ad. Many republican roman structures were rebuilt during the imperial era, which are the ones we have today.
Super !
Thanks!
Why you stoping posting video??!!!
Your videos so helpful.
Can you make Trajan Forum , please.
will be, of course
@@historyin3d thank you.
Faz um vídeo da residência de Tibério na ilha de Capri
Você pode fazer a germania welthaupstadt
Looks like I’ve already seen one really good reconstruction of it once on the web.
É mas são antigos né eu também já vários da Roma antiga mas o seu trabalho é muito bom. Mas é difícil fazer a germania welthaupstadt da mesma forma que você fez de Roma

🙃🥰😍🤩😘
Just a pity that the Circus is shown here rather than the huge pool that was below the temple plateau at the time. Especially if it showed how Nero had the water from the aqueduct was diverted via the fountains on the sides of the temple then flowed into the pool.
You still alive?
Who, Claudius? xD
Жаль что не по русски!☹
No longer. Only English and in future Italian as well.
