    Very nice. Playing modaly, is so much more emotive. It is a natural way to move from mastery of chord progressions, to riffs, and solos.

    Guys I hope u all get this message. I really love all of your all’s backing tracks. Great work.
    I write a ton of music myself wouldn’t mind even one day getting to put one of my songs on here
    Lastly, as I was playing to this song it felt like there it was about to peak and then never really did. I think maybe with this one and a few others that it would be nice to stay in the chorus riff the 2nd and 3rd times at least 4-8 extra bars more then the first time going thru the chorus.
    Not at all trying to
    Tell u how to write. I think u have incredible talent. But when I am soloing I am
    Just getting to the best part toward the middle and end to where as soon as I am about to peak it goes back into verse riffs. I would just let those main riffs play out a little linger it gives us more time to tell a story with fewer words

      This is really hard to learn to jam too I know arpeggios and pentatonics u just I mean I guess you go slow with the rhythym and play with it then when it goes fast then you play a solo?

    • @abhirupchowdhury3319

      @@eminem13001 Just play at 130 bpm. No need to speed up for solos if you are a new-intermediate player, but ensure that you remember your pentatonic patterns for the key across the fret board and then try to match the tune by ear and let ie rip. I might be rambling, but thats what i shoot for with these backing tracks. 🙂.

    I will point out though it's a C Lydian backing track, as the C chord is made the tonal centre. Even though it's part of the G Major scale it's still in the key of C.

      @@brownpunk1794 it's a minor difference. But, when the C chord is played is when all of the tension is resolved. The G chord sounds like it's in motion...not settled. C sounds settled. This is in the key of G...meaning the notes are the notes of a G major scale. But, tonally it's a C lydian progression. C is the chord that gives everything else it's context.

      You can use all the notes highlighted in the picture, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it will sound good. It depends on where your melody is "going". I suggest that you play around with all the highlighted notes and then find melody, theme or solo-lines that you think sound good for the different parts of the track. :)

      @BigAlsVarietyHour 5 років тому +13

      For this track, you will definitely want to stay within the key of G, adhering to the notes shown on the screen.
      However, if you'd like to improve the quality of your soloing and make you phrases sound more intentional and melodic, you should try to end your phrases on one of the 3 notes found inside the chord that is playing at the time. For example, the C 'chord' contains the 3 notes C, E, and G (these notes are also 3 of the 7 notes found within the G major 'scale'), so if you noodle around a bit then end your phrase on either C, E, or G, while the C 'chord' is playing, the phrase will sound complete and very pleasing to the ear. If the C chord is playing and you end on a D, it won't sound "wrong", but it will simply not sound complete.
      Here are the three notes found in every chord on this track:
      C= C/E/G
      Em= E/B/G
      G= G/B/D
      D= D/F#/A
      D/F#= D/F#/A
      You will notice that every chord in this track consists of 3 notes contained within the G major scale, so you never have to leave the G major 'scale' to get the job done!
      Best of luck jamming, have fun!

    • @mrbigg7255
      @mrbigg7255 5 років тому +1

      Em pentatonic. All the positions. What key the song is in, court down 3 frets. G down 3 frets is E. Start the first position pentatonic in the open E. This is works for every key. Some songs sound good with other scales too. This jam track “likes” an F# or a C thrown in. Which are in the key of G but not in Em pentatonic.

    • @mattklinger8644
      @mattklinger8644 5 років тому

      I'm pretty noob too, but have learned a bit of music theory and it's kinda helped: every major has a corresponding minor (there's a better word for it though). For G, it's Em, and oh boy does Eminor sound good over this :) -- just found it out today so I hope it might help guide you to see how you can use different scales. Doesn't really relate to chord changes but oh well :P
