I love how Taub's whole thing initially was that he loved being a plastic surgeon but was forced to give it up when he went to work for House. But now that he's back at his supposed dream job he realizes the lack of meaning it holds, House gave him purpose whether he realized he wanted it or not.
Taub was PROUD of his work, he loved "every boob job, every tummy tuck" as he once said because he was very good at it and he admired his work as a good artisan should. But working for House was addictive, mad, exciting and thus the "race" against the illness, the effort to figure out the mystery was more satisfying than the "finish" i.e. the cure.
House had a soft spot for Cameron. She could get away with things no one else could; as well as, go to House with things, everyone else was afraid to. I think 13 was a bit special to him as well, albeit in a more aggressive way than with Cameron. That or she's just a science project for him.
I think 13 was a friend and he unerstood her and thought they were alike in a way with his chronic pain and her terminal disease and their approach to practising medicine and doing crazy stuff for people they loved... With Cameron, it's something else, but he cared for her too

They might not like it or they might, depends on the kid, but it would be healthy for them to be outside and experience Nature in all it's glory.
