This was so much better than all those annoying reviews where they talk about their life and how this alarm changed their day. I do not care, I just want to see how it works, and this video does exactly that.
After reading your comment. This alarm clock might just be a winner here because I am deaf and I use a bed shaker, so sometimes I am heavenly asleep that I missed the bed shaker. This morning, I set my bed shaker to 6am and I missed it by 30 minutes! Usually light has helped me in the past whenever my mom flick the light switch on and that shines brightly right through my eye lid. Especially with winter coming, it is going to get darker and darker at 6am. Sun won't probably be up until like 7 - 7:30pm. So I decided to purchase this on Amazon this morning. Hope this helps me out before I head off to work.
This is literally the best review of this product on UA-cam. I've just ordered mine because of this vid. Philips should pay you a commission... thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
@@prayvoltysozialclanmembers5302 Honestly that would still be worth it for me. 120 euros for 2 years of good sleep quality. We pay much more than that for a phone, something that doens't necessarily contribute to our health. This does.
Decided to order this on Amazon today. I am deaf, so I use a bed shaker and it shakes my bed mattress, but sometimes I am so heavenly asleep that I can't wake up and miss the bed shaker. So I decided to get this because whenever my mom switches the light on, that blasts me awake immediately through my eye lids. So it doesn't hurt to get this. This just might be a winner here especially when winter comes and it is still dark at 6 in the morning.
I am Deaf too. I’m also heavy sleeper but also am scared of bed shaker. Same thing with you that my parents turn on the light to wake me up. I was unsure whether this light alarm will work for me but until I saw your comment. I’ll definitely buy it. Thank you for commenting!
nice I was looking for a video of this thing made by someone who can operate a camera without autobrightness correction turning the whole picture black as the alarm turns brighter^^
pindakaas42 ikr, so many people weren’t even reviewing the main feature of the alarm, and when they did they didn’t do it properly, I’m going to be buying this
This simple video should win an academy award compared to all the other BS videos on youtube! This is exactly what I wanted to see! Thanks for the effort!
Thank youuu so much for recording and posting this video! This is the best review too many other people talking and not showing the actual illumination. I have bought it since watching your review and it’s seriously a game changer. I hate waking up in a dark room and now when I wake up the light is already on, making it way easier to rise up. I love how gradual it is, so it’s not shocking or too hard on the eyes.
I have had a hf3532-01 (quite similar wrt to color and time to max) for a few years. It is so much more comfortable to wake up to light than an alarm clock. And when one wakes up the eyes are already adjusted to the light. Highly recommended.
Can it be adjusted to fade in more quickly? I can't predict what level of brightness will wake me up and I don't want to add a half hour window before 5:30am to speculate when it will work
Great video. Question: what happens when the alarm is turned off? Does the light turn on as well? (My old cheap sunrise alarm clock's light stayed on for an hour after the alarm was turned off, and it was a very helpful feature at 5am.)
But with a room that dark, I would wake up with the 5 minutes light. The intention of this product is to wake you up and then make you stay in bed trying to go back to sleep until the light is bright? I don't get it
Can you set this light to gradually turn itself off while getting red before going to bed? I know red light(or rather, lack of blue light) is supposed to help you fall asleep at night, so I have been considering getting a red light for reading at night. If you can use this for that, it would be two flies in the same smack as we say in Norway. That way we could leave the birds alone, they don't like it when you throw stones at them you know. Hope anyone can answer me soon so I can figure out if I wanna buy myself one for Christmas. I could google it but nah, couldn't be arsed. Thanks!
No but I found a different product that does, Beurer WL32. It seems like a more trustworthy and basic product(Philips use a lot of it's money on marketing and design, so a lot of the money will go to paying that instead of just paying for a solid product). And it has a stronger light smf os cheaper, and also I already have a Beurer product that I am very happy with, so once I found this product it was an easy choice for me.
Nabium I don’t know if it’s still helpfull for you, but the version I have (hf3510-01) does have an option that it will turn of automaticly after while (5-60minutes) and it can also be used as a normal lamp. You can choose the brightness 1-20. The wakeup light I have doesn’t have the red light, only yellow and white, but it works fine.
Nice! I was looking for a video like this. I was very skeptic at first but I’m sure I need this. It takes me multiple alarms & 5 snoozes to wake up for work. I am not a morning person at all.
Peace of crap broke after 2 years, for a $100 this is terrible! Philips customer service told me you can't repair them AND they can give me 15% of next purchase in their overpriced online store. No thank you Philips. I will by 6 cheap no-name sun clocks, that for sure will last me longer.
Hello. I don't have a bedside table, and I don't want to put it near my face. Will there be an effect when installed one and a half meters from the head? Maybe the next model, which is 20 lumens more powerful.
researching this a lot lately. but I like Sunrise Smart Pillow is similar to this, but it has 18 features for the same price. Looks like what they said is right, the tech industry is changing fast.
this may seem like a dumb question, but what is the point of the orange light buildup for that long? Aren't you sleeping and unaware of what the light is doing?
Bought and have had it for a month and I really recommend this. Only con is the price, not going to lie. But this alarm clock really does help me sleep and I’m starting to wake up naturally once the light start to shine, even before the gongs (sound i chose) goes off.
This was so much better than all those annoying reviews where they talk about their life and how this alarm changed their day. I do not care, I just want to see how it works, and this video does exactly that.

This demo convinced me to purchase this alarm...thank you.
Hey Devon, did you buy it after all? Curious about your experience:) /Geza
Géza Molnár yes I did! I love it too. I respond really well to it And usually wake up about 7-10 minutes early. No more blaring alarms for me.
Cool! So the light is enough to wake you up, no need for the sound?

Great. I don't know why it's $105
You are the GOAT for this video
Good video, showed me all I wanted to know. No need to show the button functions cause a toddler would be able to figure it out.
very efficient presentation of it. thx for this simple and useful video. All I needed to know.
thanks for recording and post this video
Hi I would have preferred a full half an hour video watching the light increase gradually thank you for Fast Tracking it though
Thank you! You've me make an informed purchase :)
If sometimes I need just the nature sound and not the light, is it possible ?
The dislikes are from ppl who haven't bought one yet
The second that thing flicks on with it's red light I would be WIDE AWAKE
Same. The tiniest lights wake me up
Can somebody who has one tell me whether this is worth it? Does it work well?
Brain: Nants ingonyama bagithi baba, Sithi uhhmm ingonyama Ingonyama Siyo Nqoba...
Buyers beware! Mine broke after only 4 months of use and Philips did nothing to help.
I heard it's the bulb , the thing is Philips doesn't sell replacement bulbs, they want you to buy another alarm clock

stops working right after two years when u cant return it anymore

Doug Cannon perfect! I just ordered it. Do I have to face towards to the alarm when sleeping or I can sleep on the other side?

Tinytin32 C We should sleep over at your place to try that alarm clock.
Is the clock still working for you?
Nice Video, most of the reviews do not even show this test which is probably the most important thing you can use to make a purchase decision
This review goes straight to the point, thank you!!!
I was convinced by this video. It arrives in 2 days
does it really work bro?
this should be good if you sleep alone but not with a partner
Who cares about unboxing and reviews.. I just wanna vid that shows what it does. Thank you.

How do you get the light to stay on passed the alarm time? Mine shuts off when it reaches 6:30 (Let's say I set my alarm for then)
WOAH WHATTTTT it literally looks like daytime!!!! Ordering today!!!
Who else saw the face of the person sleeping at first?

(My old cheap sunrise alarm clock's light stayed on for an hour after the alarm was turned off, and it was a very helpful feature at 5am.)
do all wake up alarms require to be plugged in 24/7? :/
Nice! Can this be set to ONLY work as sunlight and no alarm sound or birds sound with the increased sunlight? :)
You can! Just turn the volume all the way down and it'll be completely silent :)
But with a room that dark, I would wake up with the 5 minutes light. The intention of this product is to wake you up and then make you stay in bed trying to go back to sleep until the light is bright? I don't get it
This would not wake me lol I’d still sleep for hours with the light at full strength
You don't know that until you actually test it.
I am searching for a low budget wake up "alarm" with only light (must be a good light) and no sound.... can someone please suggest me one?
Hey Raven, what price range are you thinking about? Geza
Is it run by batteries or power cable?
Very good, the vedio just communicated the message..
