    Thank you for your informative video blog, how about crimes committed against foreigners?

      @Cho Sett. Hello. They actually have tourist police with a dedicated number and they speak English as well. But, in most cases, petty crime is probably the worst of the crimes and nothing above. Unfortunately I've heard that they usually just record the incident and nothing really happens to resolve the issue for the individual.

      You can go to the pharmacy and get narcotic pain and nerve meds legally without a prescription..if you want a prescription a doctor will be happy to help you out!! Of course illegal drugs will get you thrown in a third world jail and prison!! I am saying this because it's hard to get a doctor in Thailand or filipines to write a prescription for narcotic pain meds..if you are getting a operation in one of those countries remember that..you may end up in severe pain and no relief!! In the filipines and Thailand only doctors with a special license can write pain meds.
      ..I have been investigating because I am planning on getting my teeth pulled and getting false teeth probably in the filipines..just sayin

      @@roninblue5885 I was in P.P.in in the late 1990's. it was cheaper than dirt. Kinda like life in the wild west, nobody on the streets after 9pm. If you spent more than 20usd a day you spent way too much, a room, 3 hot sitdown meals transportation ( a motordope would take you across town for 1000r) and you a really had a "great time" all included in that budget. You paid what the locals paid.

    • @roninblue5885
      @roninblue5885  5 років тому +1

      @SOUTH EAST. Must have been nice back in the day. It still seems to be pretty affordable though, compared to what we pay in the North America.

      @@roninblue5885 That is not the correct way to look at Cambodia comparing to any first world country. You need to consider Cambodia as it is, and what the proper value of things really are.

    • @roninblue5885
      @roninblue5885  5 років тому +1

      @South East. Interesting, when you mention "the proper value of things really are", I'm assuming you're referring to their standard of living. If not, would you be able to expand on that thought. Most would commonly use the currency exchange as a means of comparison.

    There are no beaches now in Sihanouk ville. The town and beach areas have been utterly destroyed by the Chinese.

      @steven o connor. No beaches, how did they destroy them?

    • @stevenoconnor3493
      @stevenoconnor3493 4 роки тому +1

      The government let the chinese in to buy 20% of cambodias coastline. In Sihanoukville they went about buying all business and land. Rents quadrupled and people moved out. They started massive overconstruction of condos, hotels and casinos. They knocked down all small local beachside business. The amount of litter and raw sewage has destroyed the beach. The roads have been destroyed and the whole town is a dirty and dusty construction site. They only cater to chinese tourists and locals and other tourists are given a cold reception. The crime rate has gone way up due to the vices of gambling and prostitution..the town is a shadow of its former self.

    I want to add one comment.
    Historically, Cambodia had not been enfluenced by Japan...
    Please correct accordingly.

      @Changkyu Lee. Thank you for your comment. Yes, at first thought, I was in disbelief as well but apparently, in recent year, Cambodia has actually showcased they historical records of their architectural designs at their National Cambodian museum, acknowledging the "New Khmer Architecture and Japan".
      Mind you, this would be evidence found in the modern age, from the 1950's and 1960's, but still considered "historically" documented as "influenced" by Japan. You'll find numerous projects and numerous articles on the topic completed in Cambodia under this influence, here is one for your quick reading.

      Are you Cambodian? Sour s'dey, if you are! Maybe it would be cool to visit the National Cambodian museum to see the original designs there yourself.
