Whoever voiced chowder did an excellent job because he killed it
Oh! Chowder is voiced
by Sam Lerner!
He also played as Geoff Schwartz from The Goldbergs and Quinn Goldberg from Project Almanac.
@@miguelalonso9460He is also the nephew of the late Michael Lerner, who is best known for portraying Jack Lipnick in
“Barton Fink” (1991),
and Fulton Greenway in
“Elf” (2003).
@dealingwiththistube Micheal Lerner was also in Newsies. I'm not a big fan of that movie myself, but it's got potential, and it's actually become a cult classic.
Nebercracker literally broke out of the hospital and stole an ambulance just so he could get back to blow up the house.
That's why he gets out on the driver's side.
One of my favorite childhood movies I watch it every year for Halloween 😂
Facts I loved watching this on Cartoon Network growing up
Facts bro! This will always be one of my favorite Halloween movies of all time!! 😂 I even remember my brother and I would watch this after school sometimes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Same. Now I Watch It With My Son Every Year!
Same
Nebercracker has muscles from back when he built his house from the ground up. He's definitely strong enough to snap a tricycle in half.
That and he's also a WWII or possibly a Korean War vet. Damn right! He's got that old man strength!
😁
The uvula joke gets me every time 😂
Omg! Chowder is soooo dumb!!😂
He reminds me Patrick.
Fun fact a lot of people don't know about with this film. All of the actors playing the adult characters were envisioned by the director to play said roles so he didn't bother casting auditions initially. The odds are so rare for that to ever happen, yet he got his wish and all these actors agreed to start in the movie as the characters he envisioned them to play.
This reaction is possibly the FUNNIEST reaction I've seen from you guys. On top of loving this movie (one of my childhood favorites), I never realized how many adult jokes were in this. And how Chowder basically steals the whole show. More people need to watch this.
I loved their reaction to The Mask but their editor left out the "Cuban Pete" scene which was a bummer.
I remember my mom took my brother and I to see this, and we loved it. I would watch this all the time when Cartoon Network played it during Spooky Season.
I also remember the toys. At Carls Jr/ Hardees
I have the full set
Another great video and I agree Steve Buscemi is not only a real gentleman but an actual real life hero. Did you know that not only is he a former firefighter but after 9/11, he actually went to go to try help the survivors and cleanup in the area around Ground Zero and he still tries to raise awareness of those still dying from the side effects caused by the collapse, etc? He has definitely earned my respect, too so I agree - having a meal and chatting with him would be an honour and very cool.
not to mention from his interviews, comes off so based and down to earth, Steve is one of the great ones
I don’t blame him for everything.
Theres some huge foreshadowing when Nebercracker returns from the hospital, with the box of dynamite on the lawn. Even before it got to the point where the house pulled itself out by the roots, Nebercracker was already at the breaking point. Whether she snapped or not, he'd made up his mind this was going to be the last year, once and for all.
Exactly. And even worse, if DJ and Chowder hadn't become his friends, Nebercracker might have blown himself up inside of her and just ended it all. Because in spite of it all, she was still all he had. In his mind, how could he go on without her?
Fun fact this movie was actually mocaped so these are both voice and physical performances from the actors, there is a behind the scenes that is really cool
This movie is so goated and I will not hear otherwise, the characters are good and funny, the story is enjoyable yet scary enough and the animation is pretty decent
Thanks to Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis working their magic
Movie was so based even for the time.
Also it’s the perfect level of scary for being a horror film that’s still a kid’s film
this movie is criminally underated, it's such a fun and creepy movie with laughs, dark themes, heart and some pretty good jump scares
I’m so happy your watching my second favorite movie! (my first favorite movie is how to train your dragon) but this is my favorite halloween movie and I’m so happy you guys enjoyed it!
Good first choice by the way.
I gotta admit i teared up when you see him dancing with his wife’s spirit till he let her pass on. So sad.
Ugh, I fucking love this underrated gem, it's so damn funny and creative, and you two are always hilarious, so I know what I'm watchin' tonight!
Monster House is one of those movies that’s not winning any awards but is still a very fun film to watch at least once. The titular Monster House has an incredible design. There’s actually a video game adaptation where you go through the entire house. You should look up a long play if you’re interested in seeing more.
Rip Fred Willard 1933-2020 he played the dad in the movie, the actor who played Nebbercracker his name is Steve Buscemi he was a firefighter in New York City from 1980 to 1984 with Engine Company number 55, the day after the September 11 Attack in New York, he returned to his old firehouse to volunteer, he worked 12 hour shifts for a week, and dug through rubble looking for missing firefighters, on May 25 2003 Buscemi was arrested with 19 other people while protesting the closing of a number of firehouses, including Engine 55
Fred was one of the original kings of comedy. Miss him every day.
Lot of nostalgia with this one! Remember renting it from Blockbuster and watching with my mom when I was 11. Was one of my favs as a kid. We loved it and I'm glad to see you react to it. :)
My request!!!!! Thanks very much guys!!!! I knew y’all would like Chowder.
Lots of people's requests were served with this one!
@@ivankawnartist that’s awesome we all requested this one.
Got you bro
Yea I requested it too, saw other youtube channels were reviewing or reacting to this movie so I knew Chris and Curtis had to
@@jacksonneuman3646 great minds think alike. Chowder is like them as a whole.
Kevin James and Nick Cannon was such a comedic pair here. My favorite parts of the movie. And the arcade dude that created the eating meme.
OMFG seeing 7:07 after finding out the backstory teared my heart to pieces
yeah, she didnt what him to go. only just made the connection
If like this you should definitely watch Paranorman. It has that same balance of comedy with darker story. Love the reactions guys! ❤
"The tree's got a gun,the tree's arm" I died 🤣 hahahahahahahaha!
Chowder cracks me up 😂 him and the gamer guy, absolute comedy gold.
Loved your reaction and seeing your gorgeous little pooches, too cute 😍🥹
This movie works on so many different levels, the dated cgi resolves almost immediately
So interesting tidbit: the house's victims turning up alive at the end was added later. Initially, none of them were going to come back, but the directors were told that the MPAA would have to up the rating to PG-13. They wanted to keep the PG rating, so they added the new scenes.
12:05 Chowder: “try to relax. Be cool like me.”
Pulls excavator lever
Chowder: AAAAAHHHH
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Those two dogs are too cute! I think this movie does not get enough credit. I loved it!
This movie was made with motion capture. The actors actually acted out the whole movie. Kathleen Turner even acted the part of the moving house.
I saw this movie in the theater and still watch it every October
This is one of my favorite movies 😂
This was one of my fave movies when it came out, I was 9. Now it's one of the faves of my 5yr old 😊
One of my favourite movies. I've lost count of the number of times I've watched this.
There was a GBA-style game based on this movie that I loved playing so much.
You guys reviewed Monster House that's awesome! 😂
So glad people are reacting to this movie
Let's get a petition started to have Steve guest a reaction!
Would complete my life.
2:43 It's Gollums dad, it's smiguels dad 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dude!! I was hoping a few months ago that u guys would react to this and now the prayer has been answered💯
Both of your laughs are just so contagious LOL
I loved this movie I watched it over and over on dvd.
Love y’all videos 💯💯❤️❤️ keep them coming and coming
Thank you, appreciate that love man 😁
@@OctoKrool you’re welcome. I love watching the two of you react to videos. I’m in the military overseas so sometimes I be busy working during the day, but once I get off I try to watch any videos I missed from you guys. I look forward to seeing more of y’all content ✌🏿🤟🏿🤘🏿👌🏿
My son was obsessed with this film . I don't even know if it still works
I loved this movie, one of the best ones that flew under the radar.
Thank you handsome boys for reviewing this movie, it has the video on the 80's kids' adventure movies and all the witty comebacks too.
The dogs are cute and thank you Curtis for showing some skin at the end.
Keep up the great entertainment.
Classic horror movie right here, we watch it every year around this time!!! Great original story I wish they'd do another one. Cute doggies :P
I agree!
This movie scared me when I was a kid even though I was also watching stuff like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street 🤣 that scene where the house phoned him petrified me 🤣 I was a weird kid, I liked being scared
Whoever animated every single wooden board on the house when it turns into a monster is really impressive and how they keep their exact length and not stretch or squish the boards, that makes the house look physical....
I love the voice acting in this movie, this movie was underrated to me,great movie and reaction from y'all.
This is one of my favorite childhood films. Whoever designed the house was genius! Also the concept art for the house is really creepy but awesome
“Losers have bad times, and bad times are for losers! So subscribe and become a winner”
Me, who’s been subscribed for a month or two: I’m guessing the paperwork to make me a winner takes a while.
LETS GOOOO this film is fantastic i’ve always loved it
Im 21 now and i watched this the other night with one of my buddies and its STILL hilarious. Its for sure a must watch during october. Watched it every year!
10:22 I did not expect to hear chowder saying that his mom is cheating on his dad with another guy
I'm the oldest of 4 boys and my youngest brother (I was born '95 and him '04) loved this movie so much that every weekend that he came over he would watch this movie on repeat. It was annoying but looking back on it this movie now holds a special place in my heart
I loved this movie ever since I saw it in theaters as a kid as well as when i saw the trailer for it on the zathura DVD!
That movie really brings me back some childhood memories.
I remember seeing the commercials of that movie & also the commercial of the video game of the movie Monster House & finally went to see that movie in the movie theater (long time ago back in 2006 - I was 9 yrs old) with my mum & my older brother & it was the bestest & amazing animated movie ever made & i was so in love with that movie like crazy lol 🤣🥰💖
I'm so glad that you reacted to this animated film. Great reaction bros! 👍🏿
This movie is so underrated
Fright night and monster house almost have the same thumbnail😂
Also I love what they did with bone’s kite where the house showed him the kite. That’s like what they did with the movie IT, amazing❤.
This was always great to me, animation models included and if you guys want more of the House explored and more scary & dark, I suggest playing the console version of the tie-in game because man was that very scary to me as a kid, never finished it though.
My favorite childhood movies
This movie was such a big part of my childhood.
This movie actually takes place in my dad's hometown of Mayville, Wisconsin. The director has said that town was his inspiration for the movie's setting
That's cool. Looks like a suitably spooky place during the Fall.
I love all of your reactions Chris and Curtis, keep it up !!!!! 😁❤️👍
This is a classic for me. I looove this movie. Used to watch it all the time and knew the script word for word 😅 you two are hilarious. Love your reactions. Please react to my fav Christmas animation based off the novel starring Tom Hanks 'Polar Express' if you haven't already. I think you'll enjoy it.
I haven't watched this movie since I was like 12 when it came out, and I don't remember it being this funny lmao. You guys are my favorite reactors
This and Paranorman is a MUST every Halloween.
This movie is amazing this is definitely a yearly Halloween watch. Animated Halloween movies are some of the best like Nightmare before Christmas (October thru December lol) , the corpse bride and Frankenweenie, Coraline, Wallace and gromit, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Perfect Blue, Kiki's Delivery Service, sausage party is a new tradition for me lol hell ill even watch james and the giant peach During this time 😅
Your guys reactions made me remember just how amazing the comedy is in this movie
Thank you so much for being you! You have inspired me to start a horror watching channel ❤❤
I'm glad we could give you inspiration and I'm proud of you for starting it! :)
I took my 11 year old nephew and my 8 year old niece to see this opening day. About halfway through, my niece grabbed my arm and said, “Why did I come to this movie!?” 😆 my nephew loved it. It was very entertaining and now, niece is 25 and nephew is 28; we try to watch it every October. We just watched it on the 17th with their kids and yes, it scared them just like it did their parents lol. Love this movie, love these reactions. 😁❤️
Skull is voiced by Napoleon Dynamite.
Mr. Jon Heder himself.
Steve Buscemi is a hero. He used to be a Volunteer Firefighter in New York in the early 80s and was one of the volunteer firefighters that assisted after the 9/11 attack.
I've heard this story before, Steve is literally the goat; absolutely love him in anything he does!
Dude this is a classic
20:05 MAMAAAA That had me laughing 😂😂😂😂😂
There is a end credits scene where it shows the cops and dog getting out safely :)
Monster House is one of my childhood favorites. It’s hilarious.
And super scary. I love this movie.
I heard this animated film has received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature from the Oscars in the early 2000's.
@@miguelalonso9460Nice!
This movie scared the hell outta me when I was a kid. It’s literally It for kids
This movie was made in 2006, I just wanted to tell you I read a novel by Stephen King (& Peter Straub) back in 2009 called Black House. The novel was published 2001. The point is the novel has a character called The Fisherman, and in my mind he looked exactly as Nebbercracker, so for me watching Monster House reminds me to read the novel again, which was my very first novel (because I wanted, not because the school made me to).
I love seeing the pupps. I have 2 dogs too. A Beagle/Hound mix and Italian Greyhound/Dachshund mix. Best dogs in the world.
Great choice, I often do a Double Feature of Monster House and ParaNorman.
8:19 BEST RESPONSE EVER
This TOTALLY needs to be a meme!!
Chowder makes this movie 10x better😂
I've been watching so many reactions to this, I thought y'all seen this before 😂
Last Halloween, I dressed up like Chowder from Monster House.
30:00 HOW MANY DOG DO YOU HAVE!!?😂
WE HAVE 4 DOGS!
@@OctoKroolOKAY!
I love this movie!! Probably in my top 5 "kids" Halloween films!! ❤
Woaahhh 19:10
I forgot how funny this movie was
I really wish you guys had more subscribers people don't see how hard you guys try you guys deserve it
Thank you dude, never thought we'd hit 100k so I'm super appreciative for what we have. 😁
For a highly enjoyable and fun animated film I recommend reacting to "Up".
Already on the channel :)
17:26 Bro I'm fucking crying, this is gold 😂😂
I watched this a lot as a kid. Great reaction 🙏🙏
Those chi-chis are adorable! 😍😍
Thank you
You guys are awesome 🤣
That’s a PERFECT Halloween classic
Your reaction guys are far more enjoyable to watch than many other out there 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 2:51
The pee in the bottle scene will forever be my favorite scene. It was the funniest scene from the movie.
