    I've lived a Godless life that's led me to failures, hurt, sorrows and shame for me but perhaps most importantly for those near me (my wife justly left me) and these results have brought me to a truthful harsh reality: a life without God is a meaningless, lost and dark one. I'm now in the process of hopefully building my true faith in Jesus and I find your talks very genuine and inspiring. Please don't stop doing what you're doing. Lots love and God bless you!!

      @@jasonnoble7302 life can still be comfortable without God, but life with God just makes things all the more better. So I just want you for one day to live your normal life but have alittle faith in God and lets just see what happens. maybe nothing changes, or maybe you see your great life now without God become even better with God. I hope you dont see this as me "attacking you" but more or less just giving you a challenge to try that wont hurt you one bit!

    I’m a Christian but I feel very similar to how that first girl felt. I constantly have doubts about my own religion. Sometimes idk if I believe at all, but I want to be saved and I want this Jesus that people talk about that is loving and kind. Oftentimes I read the Bible though and struggle to see that love and kindness.

      Not hard at all to see the love and kindness of Christ when you read the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. You see the selflessness of Christ through his works, his treatment of others, and his care for our very souls.

      Consider first that you may think that you're a good person. If you think that way, then you have no need for Jesus. If you acknowledge your sin and cry out to the Savior whom you've sinned against, He is able to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. God is not a liar. He said He would do it. Then put your trust in Jesus. A human being wasn't a worthy sacrifice for all of the sins of the world for all time, it had to be God himself that was the sacrifice. One more thing. Your personal miracle will be that you will notice that you desire to obey Him and do that which is right because you will be a new creation, the Bible says. Read the Gospel of John. John 14 talks about how you will be in Him. Reach out to Him today. Don't put it off. Life is short. The devil will try to steal the seed of faith that you have. Look at the first temptation in the Garden of Eden. Satan asked Eve, "Did God really say...?". It was a deception to put doubt in her mind that the devil continues to use today because it is effective. God bless you ❤️ 🙏

    • @michelleinchristalone2769
      @michelleinchristalone2769 День тому +1

      Like you and every fallen sinner, Adam and Eve put a dark face on God, succumbing to Satan’s temptation and doubting His goodness and love; even as He had lavished it on them from the day He created them. But they were tragically wrong. God IS love and the source of all good. But none of this was outside of God’s sovereign plan and purpose for the world He’s created and will finally and for all eternity reconcile to Himself. Even in Genesis 3 immediately after the fall, God shows His love and mercy by providing a covering, a covering that points to His plan of redemption in Jesus Christ whereby He removes the filthy garments of sin and shame from His own, and covers them with His righteousness. When we hear the proclamation to the serpent/ Satan in Genesis, hear the first proclamation of the Gospel! The God man Jesus Christ would be the One who would crush his head by His death and resurrection defeating sin, death, and the Devil for all of God’s adopted and beloved children.

      It’s not the lack of evidence they are in search for it’s an issue of heart and them not wanting to give up their self to God .. all we can do is pray for them and show them how a believer should act

    • @mikeayoma
      @mikeayoma 3 дні тому +3

      While I agree Stuart would have laid out the evidence, Cliffe has previously addressed this question in another way. When a skeptic says there is not enough evidence for a belief in God, truth is the evidence for skepticism doesn’t even come close. At the heart of the issue we all have a world view. The Christian has a world view, so does a Muslim and Buddhist and also so does an atheist and skeptic. We are all living for something, so all you have to ask is what is the evidence that what you are living for is true or reliable. And finally agnosticism and skepticism is a prcatical impossibility, like Cliffe says” if skepticism and agnosticism is true then just try to live it out consistently”

    one major point we need to remember is we should never get religion and faith confused. these kids always seem to be confused on that point.
    Religion is the SYSTEM of worship where as faith is an internal TRUST that develops because you see and recognize the reliability of a person/being.
    As children of say 3 we have absolute trust in our parents to look after us coz we just "instinctively" know that without them we won't have food, drink or comfort and if they are properly loving they will have shown they are willing to provide those things for us and we for a time accept it WITHOUT QUESTION.
    that's the kind of faith (TRUST) God want from us. hence why he tells us to come to him as children.
    the religion part come out of that faith (TRUST). if you trust in God (HAVE FAITH) as a child trusts in their parents you will demonstrate that trust by seeking his aid and support and obeying his commands and displaying gratitude and love in return. and it should be as natural to you to do so as it is for that child of 3 to do for their parent coz like that child we should want to please him.
    How do you display your love and gratitude to God? by recognizing he is the one in charge and praying and praising him for all he has given us and doing as he asks us to do and love each other as good caring siblings.

    i recently went through psyhosis event, i ended up in london hospital after beeing arested on one of the rooftops that i climbed on the outside on top floor grabbing on to satelite dishes to get on the roof, i dont remember much but i remember when police approached me they were baffeled of how did i got up there, i think they got to me from a different roof because i had to show them the safe way out and i knew the door that was locked because i had to climb the window to circumvent the passage, it was surreal and i thought these police officers were like angels or some sort of extraterrestrial beeings because i knew i risked my life climing that building and i dont know why, what happened afterwards was even more troubling to my mind, because i didnt know who i was or what day it was, i believied that everyone died in my family and i was grieving but i was wrong, everyone is alive but in my psyhosis i threw all my clothes away and i was only given a piece of linen what i thought, i covered myself with it so i am not fully naked but i did it because of others and not me, i didnt care at that time how i presented myself... and for the next 12 hrs or more i was walking around in london on my bare feet, almost naked and not knowing what is happening,mind me it was very cold, one moment i was shivering and another i was burning in flames.... i am so lucky not to catch any infection or so, i remember i was cleaning some sort of park and it had trees with markings on it to be cut, i thought these were the nice trees so i took these markings off so they stay there and i was picking up the litter like that park was my home .... i had bruises on me and scars on my head and while i was cleaning the ciggarete buts i pulled out a needle from the ground, again i was lucky not to get stabbed by it ...... and its been 4 weeks now i am still struggling to come to terms of what happened to me, all i know is that this is less that 1% that i want to explain but so mutch things happened that week i still need time to remember, im ok now and i just want to tell everyone that everything is going to be alright, whatever we go through is necesary for us to grow and accept the truth, jesus is here and he always has been, bless you all and pray for the ones that have mental issues and especially the homeless ones, because i have seen how bad things can get and we have no control over it, i just know that things will get better soon, i dont know when, but i know its all up to you

    The reason only God can create objective morals is because he is our creator. The creator of the robot vacuum gives it its purpose and knows when it's doing good and doing bad. The creator of a computer knows when it's running well and fulfilling its objective.

    for the girl who said she’s tried so hard for 7 years, I hate to say this because it sounds harsh, but she probably didn’t actually try. But it may not be her fault. Like Stuart said, she may have not been trying the correct way. If she actually read the gospel, she’d notice how following Jesus isn’t just an idea, but an action. An earnest desire to die to your flesh daily and not rely on your own knowledge. Yes Christianity is not a blind faith, but in the case for this girl, I’d bet she hasn’t really been exercising her faith. I wonder if she’s even worshipped God. Of course if all you do is intellectualize Christianity, always go to the books and internet, and never aim for spiritual experiences then obviously you’ll probably never have a personal experience as she claimed she wanted. It usually has to do with pride and unwillingness for change due to the uncomfortableness required to surrender to God. Pride is the unwillingness to surrender what you thinks is yours, which can even be intellect.

    How do I repent intentionally? Every time I get lustful thoughts; the urges are just too strong, and I can't go to God to protect me from sin, yet I keep doing it repetitively! And I've prayed to God to remove the people that bring me down and those that will lead me to sin.

    • @michelleinchristalone2769
      @michelleinchristalone2769 День тому +1

      While we face outside temptations ; trials that squeeze us, those outside forces cannot make us sin. Just like when a ketchup bottle is squeezed, what comes out is what’s inside:ketchup; so it is with fallen man. When we are under pressure, our sin will come out; the pressure may be the occasion for sin, but it’s never the cause of it. James 4:1-2 explains the source of our sin-our desires and covetousness, our inability to trust and believe God for His goodness and supply. So what should you do? The Bible says to cry out to the Lord, ask the Sovereign God and Savior to form that work of repentance and faith in Jesus’ perfect life, atoning death, and victorious resurrection in you that you cannot. And then give all glory to God knowing that He alone saves by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to the Word alone, to the glory of God alone.

"When you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.", James 1:6. A lot of us doubted at some point. But there has to be a Father overall that created everything. "If one hasnt loved, They do not know God.", is what one of the scriptures say about Love. *

However in 1 Samuel 15:3, god commands the death of infants. surely there were some Israelites who "reeled back," as Cliffe says, when they had to kill those babies face to face, going against their conscience to fulfill god's orders. did god instruct his people to do something OBJECTIVELY WRONG?

    For the second college student, it likely would have been more valuable to him to share the beatitudes.
    The third college student is currently only interested/focused on a subset (specific scientific disciplines) of a subset (science) of a subset (natural realm) of existence. He's trying to discuss all of existence and is completely incapable when focusing/interested in such a small fraction of existence.

      Rating your current spiritual maturity can be a good thing, but rating someone else’s could be problematic. I would talk with the minister or someone else in leadership and express that you feel uncomfortable or have concerns with this task, and ask any questions you deem necessary. Simply leaving and finding another church would be considered rash without finding answers to the questions you may have, because the reality exists that you may encounter something else in the new church that concern you and then you’d be on to another church.

If a man is with a girl, and he says to the girl, " You need to have sex with me to prove that you love me." That is just absurd, the logic is the same here. You’re correct in understanding that it is futile to “fake it until you make it” when it comes to faith in Christ. The Bible is One Big Story; the revelation of God as to who He is, who man is, the fall of man into sin, and the way of redemption God has made in the person and work of the God-Man Jesus Christ. Genesis reveals God as Creator and chapter 3 the fall of man. Romans 1 and 2 explains how God has revealed Himself generally by what He has made in nature so that men are without excuse. In short: God has ‘proved Himself’ all around us! In Matthew 16:4 we read how the pharisees (self-important, God-deniers) rejected Jesus’ claim to be God and Savior and wanted a sign (to “prove Himself”) and Jesus says, “And evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah…” The account of Jonah being sacrificed over board, swallowed into a fish unto death, and expelled out onto shore, was a picture, a type of Jesus who would be sacrificed for our sins, suffer the full wrath of God on the cross and dying the death that we deserved in our place, and then rising on the 3rd day to defeat sin, death, and the Devil for all who by God’s grace wold come to repent and put their faith in Him. In short: you and all of us, have all the proof we need and we are guilty in our high-handed enmity against Him. But there is good news: Jesus says, “Come to me all you that are weary (of sin, and working for peace with God) and heavy laden, and I will give you rest…” So don’t wait, cry out to the Lord for salvation today. In Isaiah 55:1 God says, “Come everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy, and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” And “Roman’s 10:13 says, “whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!” And know that salvation from start to finish is a sovereign, loving, merciful, gracious work of God for sinners who rightfully deserve death and judgement. Mercy is getting what you don’t deserve and grace is a free, unmerited gift of God even in the face of our Demerits! This is a loving and merciful God!!!!

      Traditional Christianity does have a structure. Protestants have essentially done away with it in their churches. The Catholic and Orthodox churches both have a structure to their worship, and new converts to the faith undergo a several month (if not longer) process of learning the church’s teachings before being baptized and fully accepted into the church. They resemble the ancient church much more than modern Protestant churches do.

    In claiming, as the Neo-Euthyphro-ites do, that God's moral standard is arbitrary, they set up a silly infinite regress of transcendent morality:
    If God's moral standard is necessarily arbitrary because he is failing to appeal to a moral standard outside himself, then whatever that moral standard is that the Neo-Euthyphro-ites insist God rely on to avoid the charge of arbitrariness is ALSO arbitrary -- unless that inanimate standard in turn appeals to a moral standard beyond itself. But then this third standard has to appeal to a 4th moral standard beyond itself, which in turn requires a 5th and a 6th and a 61,376,545th... Pass the Advil.
    It's amazing how the accusation of "subjective" or "arbitrary" comes up ONLY when it is posited that the source of morality is a living entity, aka God. Somehow an inanimate source for morality, like a Platonic form, gets to skate on this charge even though there is no sound philosophical reason to think it can.
    (Therefore I suspect it has less to do with sound philosophical reasoning than with the convenient fact that inanimate sources of morality can't talk back or push back.)
    But if the universe is ontologically legitimate and real, then if the God of the Bible is real and he spoke this very real and legitimate universe into existence, it follows that his edicts on morality are every bit as legitimate and real.
    And to complain about them and call them arbitrary, subjective, or circular is like complaining that the source of a mountain stream is arbitrary and subjective and circular. It is what it is. (I am that I am.) Drink this real, legitimate living water or die of thirst.

    The young lady 1:00 in explains perfectly the need for the sovereign regeneration of God. Fallen men cannot in and of ourselves seek for or “choose” for God. We do the opposite in fact; seeking everything BUT Him and rejecting Him high-handed ly. In John 3 Jesus does not tell Nicodemus what Stuart told this woman; as if she could somehow muster it up in herself to believe and trust in Christ. Jesus explains that the New Birth is Holy Spirit wrought and is like the wind. When God grants us the new Birth, regeneration, salvation; we need to understand what scripture teaches: from predestination and election to glorification - salvation is all of God in Christ; He saves a people for Himself, by Himself, and from Himself. Repent of your man-centered, Christ-demoting Arminianism Stuart & Cliffe, and give ALL glory to God because on the Day, no one will boast!

      @ It’s subtle, but I would argue that Arminianism is ultimately man-centered because to say you had anything to do with any aspect of your salvation is to steal from the person and work of Christ and to have a piece kept aside to boast of. It’s why we see the church-growth, pragmatic entertainment in many churches today. They don’t trust God’s way and Gospel means for salvation and sanctification; His prescribed way of worship for the Church, but instead think they have to adopt worldly ways to grow the church. This all stems out of Arminian way of thinking. If your smart enough to regenerate your own dead heart of stone, if you think you can do anything to revoke Christ’s perfect and all-sufficient atoning and eternal intercession and to remove the Holy Spirit seal and lose your salvation (and Arminian view), and if you think you can persuade anyone to believe with clever apologetics or just the right technique, or conversely, keep them from Christ with a feeble approach; you are not wholly Christ-Centered and Gospel-focused. It’s a subtle but important and dangerous error and feeds into most of the errors and false-teaching we see today.

You hate God and deny his very existence, so you won't because you can't. (Hebrews 11:6, 1 Corinthians 1:18) You foolishly worship the creation rather than the Creator. (Romans 1.)

      Bonnie , in the Bible it says that if Christ didn’t rise from the dead, our faith is bankrupt. He’s the only one to ever rise from the dead, I’d take that seriously. Since you take life seriously, I would assume, what’s wrong with closing your eyes, kneeeling, and praying for God with your heart and ask him to take over your life?

    This slander for the word "religion" really needs to stop. Christianity is the one true religion. False religion and overbearing tradition is what you should have a problem with.

      @jasonnoble7302 Christianity is the true religion. All other religions are false. Using religion as a slur and saying, "All you need is Jesus," is weird. Jesus is the cornerstone of the one true religion.
