@@thecapone45he literally answered what and why we should pray, but the guy didn't want to hear. What is pray? A way to know God, like talking to another person is the way to know them. In essence, it's like conversation, and in a conversation sometimes you ask for favors, and the answer could be yes or no, but if you only seek to know people to get favors... Well, that's not gonna work with God. It's not that hard to get, if you believe it or not is another topic.

@@dave_ecclectic I could argue that no one is born believing in the Christian God, that is indoctrinated into you from the moment your born. Same as a baby isn't born a believer in Allah, your parents and culture determine a lot of what you will believe to be true as you get older.
Wow, this was absolutely fantastic. At first I was a little uncomfortable with the argumentation (mostly because I'm extremely shy, and also I used to spend a lot of times in environments that taught me to be ashamed of arguing in favor of Christianity), then I was frustrated with the college students just not understanding what you were saying. And then at the end, I was absolutely astounded by the clarity and wisdom of your points. I've bee trying to draw closer to God and surround myself more and more with Godliness, and I'm very happy that He directed me to you!
You cannot use prayer to manipulate God and get what you want. Prayer is a dialogue between you and God because you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, he’s your savior, you love Him because He first loved you. Prayer opens your heart to God who already knows the intent of your heart. God is NOT Santa Claus you pray to Him and He grants your three wishes, that’s what Satan wants you to believe.
We all wrestle with different things Christ teaches us, and Tyler did an excellent job of keeping an open mind and seeking the answer, even though he seemed nervous. I pray Tyler and others continue to seek the truth. 🙏
As I watch these, I understand the frustration at times. In the question about prayer, why pray, what's the point - I would reference Scripture to show what Jesus or the Disciples say about prayer. I'd explain about how the Holy Spirit grows and teaches us after salvation. I love this and am in no way critiquing, but I find myself noting how I would (and do) answer the same questions. We're all planting seeds for the Kingdom! This is great! ❤
Yes ma’am I agree! Some seeds were meant to be planted others watered and others nourished! Praise God that the Holy Spirit equips us with the right words to say at the right time! Amen
I do the same thing! In the end, no one is perfect. Stuart and Kliffe many times knock it out of the park, and yet, many times I also know that they could answer a question in a different way, but I remember how difficult it can be when in the moment. That being said, what they are doing is still incredibly influential and I agree that they certainly plant A LOT of seeds for these kids to continue asking their questions. They might get their 'aha' moment here and that's great, but if they get their moment later on that is just as great! These guys casually coming on my feed when I as agnostic really got me on the path to becoming a follower :).

I would recommend looking into catholic doctrine. It is a sad thing to see someone fall out not from there own but from the faults of others. The catholic faith has been here since Peter with a direct line of Pope's from then. There is teaching on marriage, prayer, tradition, how to love and live and centuries of saints who have studied the faith and God has blessed to gove us immense resources to his better. There are sinners everywhere and please don't judge a faith solely on the teaching or lack of teaching of a flawed human. God knows we're flawed but yet he still gives grace. There are more good knowledgeable catholics out there ready to teach and who would be great even if you aren't interested in returning

Wow, I see myself in Tyler. When kliff was talking to Tyler it felt like he was talking to me. "Evidence" is the word of the day, Don't just believe or else you will start believing in Pink Elephants. I think Tyler is very stubborn and a tough nail to crack but it's good because he is brave enough to ask "Stupid" questions. There are people like him and me who hide their opinions and end up never getting the answers, people may laugh but it's important to understand that your relationship with god is between you and god, nobody in this earth will physically get you in heaven, only you. So before you believe in somethings, know why you believe in it, is it "reliable" enough for you to believe in it don't believe in it because mommy and daddy told you to believe in it. Evidence!! Evidence!! Evidence!!
I walk with spirit of God for four year I have evidence to prove that word of God is real because his word has become personal experiences that change my lifestyles

Love Cliffe and Stuart, but I wish Stuart had a bit more patience like Cliffe does and lets the people speak, I know he doesn't agree with them, but they don't agree with him, how are they gonna listen to him if he doesn't listen to them first? God's Love is written all over the Universe we live in a symbiotic and symbiosis world meaning all things were created together to sustain and support life and procreate in a safe, sure, secure, environment so all can live. Our Universe is governed by God's Principles of Law and Order.
I've been watching these debates with these young college "all-knowing" kids, and what I'm hearing across the board is the removal of God from their lives so that they can be their own God.
If God allows suffering, why then doesn't he stop all the suffering? He has the power to do that. Why does He allow it to continue? And, why do we have to pray for the same thing over and over and over again? Does God not hear us the first time, or does God forget what we asked in prayer?
3:50 He seems to be implying that Christianity requires a sort of blind faith or suspension of critical thinking, rather than encouraging people to question, seek evidence, or understand the reasoning behind its teachings. This perspective might be seen as a critique of religious dogma, implying that it prioritizes belief over reason or evidence. However, it's important to note that many religious individuals do grapple with complex questions and seek to understand the reasoning behind their beliefs.
The problem I see all the time is religion. When you come to Christ you have a personal relationship with Him , huge difference. I pray that many more will come to Christ and experience the peace only He can give. 🙏
I have a question here as a newer Christian. I truly love Jesus and I try my best to keep his commandments (although I fail often) but how do I continue to try to love God for just being God and for loving me, and not for the blessings he gives me. Im afraid of getting the two mixed up and ending up loving what God can give me instead of loving God Himself.
Be thankful for the blessings and suffering. The sufferings makes us stronger and make us appreciate the blessings God gives us. If you're baptized the holy Spirit will remind you of all the time God gets you through hard things. He will also convict you of your sins, but at the same time, tells you that no matter how much you sin as long as you're aware of your sins and wants to stop sinning. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY REPENT OF YOUR SINS DAILY. He will and always loves you no matter what. Fact: God doesn't send people to hell, they send themselves because of pride and unrepentant and not having humility. YOU LOVE GOD IN TIMES OF BLESSINGS, SUFFERINGS, AND HAVE A MINDSET OF NO MATTER WHAT GOOD OR BAD YOU'LL ALWAYS LOVE GOD, ESPECIALLY IN THE BAD TIMES.

@@JohnHines-f9s I did reply, but you cannot understand what I say. The scriptures describe the human heart as one’s will and emotions. Jeremiah says this “heart” aka spiritual heart is desperately wicked, and who can understand it? This means what you perceive to be a “right” and “good” thing in your eyes, many times is considered an abomination in the Lord’s. Man looks at the outer- one’s personality or their strength or even their money, but God goes much deeper into your “heart” and knows your motives, and intentions, the very things we cannot see. So when I said that Cliff speaks to the “heart” I mean he is speaking from his inner being and is striking into the heart of those who listen. 21:54 What is his point here? He just said that you choose what you believe in. Then gives a pink elephant example and says that you could only pretend to believe, but you wouldn’t really believe. His example literally demonstrates that belief isn’t a choice. The irony is that belief is a complicated aspect of human perception. If you are inundated with certain messages (by choice or not), you can primed to believe something under the right conditions. This is how advertising, rote learning, political rhetoric (via slogans), and many other social information transfers work. Just using this sort of approach can lead someone to believe in an invisible pink elephant (especially if you can limit information that challenges that idea). Cliffs chose an absurd example to throw off the fact that the invisible, pink elephant is a conspicuously similar notion to an invisible, all-powerful god. It is bizarre to believe in it with or without an incentive. However, a person could come to believe in it, if they are repeatedly told it is real in a limited information environment (as many children in Texas would have been in, as their parents indoctrinated their religion into them). 23:35 “…appeared to over 500 people…” A single source claims 500 people observed this, but provides no way to verify that this is actually what happened. The number could be 500 or 10 or 782; The more important question is how do we know this claim is true? If I claim that 1 person made up the claim that Jesus appeared to over 500 people, does that make what I’ve said true? If not, why is Cliffe recounting an invalidated story considered any more substantial? To be clear, the issue is there is no way for anyone (religious or not) to make claims about whether that event occurred or not. We know there is a story about it, and we know nothing of that sort happens in our modern observation to provide confidence that it is an accurate representation of what happened. Even in the story, it has some serious issues: How does that narrator know there were 500 people (were they counted)? How does the narrator know that all 500 agree about what was observed (were they each thoroughly questioned about it)? Could all 500 people see well enough (as in, did they have good enough eye sight) to accurately discern what was going on? This sort of storytelling smacks of embellishment and exaggeration for the sake of impact, rather than conveying useful, verified information.
We cannot make rationalize based on our limited knowledge its like trying to bloat something that cannot really expand. We need to expand our knowledge before we make certain claims or absolute statements.

Why should we pray? Well, if we want to know another person and we want that person to know us we have to talk to them, so if we want to know God and God to know us, we pray to him.
In essence, it's like conversation, and in a conversation sometimes you ask for favors, and the answer could be yes or no, but if you only seek to know people to get favors... Well, that's not gonna work with God.
It's not that hard to get, if you believe it or not is another topic.
Cliffe has an amazing talent to explain difficult issues in simple English. On top of that, he does it in a non-confrontational way. I'd love to be able to do this.
Meeeee tooooo! I understand that’s a gift that some people have. I myself take it toooo personal when someone mocks God or doesn’t believe. I also understand that I was blessed with a different gift and that’s what I have to stick with! God called our purpose when He chose us from the VERY BEGINNING😊 That in itself is a blessing! Amen
The first person is a clear example of what happens with so many people. Just because they didn't understand the answers given or didn't like the answers given, no matter how concrete they were, they say that it's your fault and that you're dancing around the point. So sad to see

True, Cliffe is simply sharing his knowledge and the kid just lacks knowledge and uses that as the reason of how its unfair since its not done in an academic setting. He has to do some searching himself. That's the whole point of having a free forum, anyone can come and ask questions and share ideas. Just because Cliffe gives answer doesn't mean you should believe it, but it is something you should investigate and consider in order to find the truth and make your faith your own. Hopefully, people who think like how he does find the truth.

I am continually impressed with how polite Cliffe is to those who ask questions. May we all learn to speak to people with value.
I was born Catholic but didn't know much about Christ. In a covid thing I became I think lazy with my Faith. My family stoped walking to church because they were scared of covid, so I too even after the pandemic. I strugled with a sin at the time too until the may 2023, that's when I was born again and I opend up my heart to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Im so blessed that on my way in getting to know Christ videos like this has shown up on my way. Thank You, God belss You. Love You Jesus 🙏❤
No one is born Catholic. You may have been raised Catholic but apparently were not taught very well.
God keep you and bless you.
@@dave_ecclectic I could argue that no one is born believing in the Christian God, that is indoctrinated into you from the moment your born. Same as a baby isn't born a believer in Allah, your parents and culture determine a lot of what you will believe to be true as you get older.
Same here, born again but still Catholic 🙏
Wow, this was absolutely fantastic. At first I was a little uncomfortable with the argumentation (mostly because I'm extremely shy, and also I used to spend a lot of times in environments that taught me to be ashamed of arguing in favor of Christianity), then I was frustrated with the college students just not understanding what you were saying. And then at the end, I was absolutely astounded by the clarity and wisdom of your points. I've bee trying to draw closer to God and surround myself more and more with Godliness, and I'm very happy that He directed me to you!
May God bless you as you open the Holy Bible and get more knowledge of our loverly Saviour - Jesus Christ.
I was thinking to myself - "Cliffe is such a wonderful speaker. I wish he would live forever." Then I realised, he will 🙏
Amen! Love this comment
He’s such a legend 🥇🙏

Props to Tyler. Need more people willing to ask genuine questions about God's word and Jesus.👏🏽

The fact that they continue to wake up in the morning, get dressed up, and go out to advocate for Christianity is amazing. I have a lot of gratitude for your existence boys. If only we had strong apologists come and speak with the school as intellectual equals...my path might have been different. I still reject Catholicism, but I've finally responded to Jesus Christ. I don't think your impact on peoples lives could ever be over stated.

I have pondered the act of pray, I have problems when asking for things or change things that should be, is it not enough to trust god to do what is right considering the resume of being the designer, I agree that it is about communication and intimacy with God to develop a relationship. Also to thank for everything and to ask for guidance for the things that happen and I do not understand and need strength to accept it in trust, IMO.
The point of praying is to have a conversation with your heavenly father and grow in your relationship with Him.

"Evidence" is the word of the day, Don't just believe or else you will start believing in Pink Elephants. I think Tyler is very stubborn and a tough nail to crack but it's good because he is brave enough to ask "Stupid" questions. Stuart and cliffe are so cute together
Wake up sweetie, a new Cliffe and Stewart Knechtle public discussion just dropped
As Dominic give God praise btw he is good .
❤️

@@Tdinh79 So no response to anything I actually put to you . And what's your point with the Romans 10:9 crap. And you and no one can believe things with their heart, for that is not the human heart purpose. But then the bible doesn't mention what the human heart purpose actually is or any other human body part.
It goes beyond an intellectual debate where a speaker speaks into your mind or brain. It’s because a person born with the Spirit and is anointed by God, His Words are like a sword that go right through you. But what do you know about any of this?

Dang, Stuart is so good at this. Obviously Cliffe is too
He sure is. I believe the younger folks are more receptive of him because he's also younger. Cliff was a superb role model to his son.
