One major plus of having a clean machine is that it is easier to see where the leaking goo is coming from.

One major downside is that you can now see where the leaking goo is coming from and it becomes harder to ignore. Kinda why I always pant my engines black, fixes all the oil leaks.

The dirt between the battery posts hold moisture which provides a path for electrons to move between the poles, slowing discharging your battery.

    Super clean is the best.
I’ve been an auto detailer for 39 years.this is the best all purpose cleaner/degreased I ever used.
It’s very adjustable for everything from degreasing engine compartments to interior cleaning through different dilution ratios.
Try using a turbo nozzle on your pressure washer in conjunction with the super clean.you would be amazed

Thanks Matt! Very enjoyable little series, "Forky" looks awesome. I think she's a keeper. I'll be sharing this with our forklift mech. at work. When I find a channel that holds my attention like this one, I make sure I let like minded people know about it.

I worked for Union Pacific Railroad and we used to have a forklift used to unload new cross ties that are soaked in creosote and the fork lift was completely covered in , under , inside and every where the creosote could accumulate from over 10 years of use . Our shop overhaul shop was given the forklift when contractors took over the job of unloading the crossties . The forklift was cleaned using a Hotsy Cleaner and about 20 5 gallon buckets of the strongest steam cleaner soap that was available . Just imagine the machine being dipped in liquid asphalt and baked on for 10 years . I didn't have to clean it , but I did pity the mechanic helper that did . It looked brand new after the cleaning . You did a great job with the Super Clean , I use it a lot also . The old Allis Charmers looks great again . The Hotsy is a steam cleaner and uses a lot of water to wash away the dirty residue , unlike a regular steam cleaner . Great videos , keep up the great work .

The machine looks nice. You got the top coat at least. Second go will get down to the bare metals. - How about primer and a nice yellow paint job. Use OSPHO (Contains phosphoric acid to convert any rust to an inert material) prime and paint and that will look spectacular. You have to be careful with high pressure sprayers. You can cut into hoses and hydraulic lines leaving them weak or leaking. Nice job., good demonstration.

I must say that between good charisma and decent editing, your climbing the success ladder rather well, and deserved too. I am still very happy that you keep the entro short and to the point as I never watch them on anyone"s channel and so with that a comment. Have you ever taken those liquid spray cleaners and put them in a pump up sprayer? Amazing what a good deal more it does for them as it helps permeate the grime by penetration and we all know how penetration can be the difference of happy or just doing it is seemingly just repetitive and almost redundant so now at the end after teasing us with coming features near you in a black out screen a video that will sear through you. Cement in large chunks just waiting to get hammered in to the base wear more sheeting an then some clay and white stone will eventually go.... come on gratuities youtube! Even those little rocks cost moneys.... maybe from one of the many creeks you can put a screening plant in from one of the nice neighbors pits for say a weeks run off the beds that have nice stone mixed in deep with other crapola.

That purple power is strong stuff, I took apart our carpet cleaner about a couple weeks ago, and I dropped all the nasty screws into a plastic tub of purple power to soak while I waited on the new belt to arrive I ordered online. About a week passed, belt came in and reassembled the carpet cleaner when to get the screws out of the solution....darned it all the threads were gone....it was a hand full of “aluminum” spikes....of course that also says the quality of the screws they used too....pretty cool science experiment though.

Only one comment,Never walk under the forks of any forklift. In 1994 I was working on a forklift part of the carriage fell on my right arm .My right arm had to be amputated just above the elbow.I probably am just a little more careful about working under suspended loads, now. Also I don't know what of fuel regulator is on your machine, but most of the fuel regulators could use a good cleaning and the internals replaced.Rebuild kits don't cost much and the machine usually runs much better. Most kits come with all the instructions you need if you have never had one apart.Actually, easier to repair than the carburetors on lawn mowers,or snow blowers.Just a thought.
Please keep making the videos,I really like the way you work and like your idea of reparing rather than just buying new parts.

silicone grease prevents rust and lubricates (at least some) without attracting dirt. Silicone tire shine protects mufflers. Both the forklift and dirt bike have external chains that need good lube that does not attract dirt. A heavy silicone Teflon may be just the ticket.

The foam one probably worked better because you put it on a dry surface whereas you put the non foaming one on a wet surface which, with most degreasers, degrades their effectiveness. Dwell time also improves performance.

One thing I would point out with Super Clean and don't get me wrong, it's a great product. But it works best on a dry surface. If you spray in on a surface that is already wet with water, it dilutes it's cleaning power. Also if you spray it on aluminum, rinse it immediately or it will etch the surface.

@Diesel Creek Don't buy those chain lubes, just use normal 80-90w oil, this is what the manufacturers recommend and it's easier to clean off, also those super sticky chain lubes tend to get clogged up with grit from riding and this prematurely wears your chains and the seals of the chains and the 80-90w oil is much cheaper. Just a little tip.

4:00: This spray looks like some kind of barbecue / oven cleaner! Maybe it's got the same detergents as main ingredient. Strange kind of déjà - vu: the company that once made this forklift also produced tractors and other farming machinery; bought by the German company Deutz Motorenwerke somewhere in the 1980s, which itself went bankrupt after and because of that purchase.

It sounds like you are leaving your pressure washer running for quite a while when reapplying the degreaser. Running the engine without flow on the pump will overheat the pump and cause failure in a short time. I never let mine run more than a minute without triggering the nozzle just so the pump never overheats. I have one that still works fine after over 20 years. The engine lower oil seal leaks a bit of engine oil but nothing else is less than new in performance.
