    I also live in the south, but in the medical Mecca of Houston,Texas. I plan on beginning residency in the medical center with a BSN which is a big difference in pay than working outside of the medical center.

    i know a lot of locations in the south that pays 32 hr new grads ADN also as far as location , people should research because you can live in amazing suburb areas or metro areas and work elsewhere and make bank speaking from a up north girl

    Those weekend diffs are amazing ours is $3 no matter the time and 18% flat for night shift no evening diff

    Why is 23.00 not a lot? Idk maybe because i make 14.00 an hour lol i would love 23.00 lol

      I think it’s just because nursing is often seen as a high paying field when in reality it CAN be. Not to mention all the debt many get to gain the degree to not make what seems like enough to pay it off.

      @@kaylajohnson5425 nursing is a lick in California. With no student debt just get an AA in RNS and work in LA but live in the South Bay

    Did you say you’re at Emory? Do they not give a specialty differential? Most hospitals will give $5-$7 more per hour if you work in a specialty like nicu or ICU. I’m in school in Ga right now and will be looking for jobs soon!

      @@patriciaotoole6508 I am working at Emory now in the ICU and they give $5 more per hour to ICU nurses. All hospitals in GA do it not sure about other states.

    That's too low... I'm an rn in Tennessee just started this year got offered no less than 26 dollars an hour

    I'm really curious about your raise at the 1 year mark 😂 was it enough to out you around $30/hour? Is it unreasonable to expect a large jump or should I just anticipate making maybe a couple extra dollars more per hour? I completely understand if you don't want to share.

      It goes on percent, usually 3% it has to do with your eval
