Very nice vdo. Ashoka, the Great, is all time great emperor of India. Influenced by Buddha, he followed the path of non-violence and respect to all religions. No other ruler in India is that great. Buddha is considered by most Hindus as one of the Avatars. Though his father was a Hindu King in Nepal he revolted against casteism and stopped worshipping images of the Gods of Hinduism. As Buddha was a broad hearted saint of India, Ashoka followed his path of non-violence and respecting all religions. Brahmins treated him as their enemy as they started loosing their respectability in the Ashokan period. His trusted Brahmin defence minister Pushyamitra only ended the Ashokan rule to satisfy the Brahmins. A very unfortunate case!! All of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism respect all other religions and allowed people with other religions to settle in India. Even Muslims too were allowed even though they destroyed thousands of monuments and artifacts of other religions and tortured/killed people of other religions as they were not ready to follow Islam. India, thus became a secular country due to greatness of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

What’s amazing is from Lord Buddha’s period to Emperor Ashoka’s reign none of that history is in Hindu or any other great Indian Texts over the millennia.
No one in India had a living memory of Buddha or Ashoka!
These ancient inscriptions (the British Raj found) no one in India could decipher
Then vilola.. then the white European’s the British who had the unbelievable supernatural like ability to decipher, decode this indecipherable text up to that time. There superior intelligence 😅 they were able to decipher and come up with Emperor Ashoka and Lord Buddha!
The guy with that superhuman and out of the world expert was James Prinsep in 1837. Of course now we know there was another expert from Sri Lanka named Ratnapala, a pali super scholar who translated it all for Princep. Like everything else British took credit for it at that time.😅
The source to validate that 300-400 years Indian history gap came from the great Sri Lankan chronicles Mahavansa written in a faraway small island.
At the point I must confess I am a Lankan. We are so proud that we knew your Indian history going back a Millenia than India themselves!!!
What is amazing is the British had the most superior knowledge skills ever in this humanity has seen was able to map all of the names, places, events recorded in Mahavansa to specific places in India!
All this is far fetched don’t you think???😅
Anyway next time you meet a Sri Lankan thank him/her for rediscovering the greatest ever Indian Emperor Ashoka for you (our dear Indian brothers)

At 9:52, he makes a mistake. It's 100miles from Gulbarga, Karnataka not Andhra Pradesh. Place called Kanaganahalli. where a many bas-relief were discovered, most important was the one which had "Rayo Asoko" mentioned on it. Raya/Rayo means king in ancient Kannada. Mention of Ashoka made this place more popular but still Kanaganahalli has been widely ignored by the ASI.

King Piyadassi ( not Ashoka) Ashoka was a king in Lanka. Did not conquer just a normal regular king.
The British took Lanka mahavansa events to plug gaps in Indian ancient history

Indian people should dig deeper. Foreigners smearing your real history.
Why Ashoka inscriptions written in native Srilankan writing? Sri Lankan named Ratna Pala helped British people to translate these texts because that was his native language.
Ashoka is not a Indian king,
    best of all..
Buddha was not born in Nepal/India.
Don't accept history written by British people and fake inscriptions full of errors.
