Love this tutorial. Hi Donna and Matt I’m the Aussie girl (Danielle) who visited your shop last Friday while you were filming. You are both just the loveliest people and were so generous with your time. I’ve raved about your store to my FB quilt group in Australia. Many many are big fans. Keep up the great work.
@@FaerysDawn it’s still online. I was just talking to one of the ladies who came out when I was taking a photo in front of the shop. Then Matt happened to walk past and he offered to introduce me to her as we were visiting Oregon from Australia. It was very special and I think I just happened to catch them at the right time.
Hi Donna! I feel like I know you. I’m a retired long arm quilter. Sold my machine and I must say that hearing your machine is very soothing to me. Almost makes me want to do it again. But I’m content to just piece quilts now and watch your tutorials every evening. Thank you so much for all the enjoyment you bring! ❤
Thank you so much for making the quilt I am working on right now!!! I just sewed the first two triangles together backwards so I was a little frustrated! You make everything so simple. I love your instruction and encouragement. Thank you. Now, back to cutting tiny triangles…again. Blessings!
Love the pattern, the fabrics you chose, and the beautiful results. You explained your choices so well at the beginning, but then at the end you see how important it was to get that contrast done correctly. You always steer us to a great success! Thank you Donna!!
I really enjoy watching how you put quilts together. This is a gorgeous quilt! I love the color choices you made. It's stunning! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hello! I'm still trying to catch up watching all the videos that posted while I was away visiting the grandkids. I hope you have a happy week ahead! Thank you for posting and sharing your talent.
What amazing secondary patterns you get! I almost invariably love Donna's fabric choices more than the ones on the pattern, too. Another fabulous video!
I absolutely love this! It's just beautiful! I anxiously wait for every new video that comes out. You are the best teacher ever. I have gone back and watched every video you have made. I love them all. I wish I had time to make them all, but I have a list of quilts that I want to make. Thank you for the great videos.
Yes, Donna, the mini-cotton puffs quilt pattern does look similar enough to the cotton plant. The cotton boll is what the bunch of cotton is called. Apparently, this plant is similar to a dandelion. Google tells you much more. I remember my Daddy telling me of his remembering when he picked cotton along side of the "brown" children, at 5 & 6 years old. His Daddy was born on 1892 & told us stories of playing with "the slave children"...Neither if them were derogatory when talking about all the children, brow & white playing together on the school playground, in 1890's through to 1930's. They both were born in Southern Alabama, about 1 hour north of Mobile; on a farm. My Grandmother would share her similar stories & grew up sewing dresses for children & women alike.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate the way you teach. The finger pressing has been a great benefit to my sewing. I still need to work on my cutting skills but luckily I have the 5lb weights to hold my ruler in place. Love watching every video, thank you so much.
Oh my gosh, I just love how the "on point" pattern developed, yet so easy.... almost like magic! I can't even imagine the thought power it took into designing this pattern...it's so beautiful. Your instruction makes it so simple and I love your fabric selections. Batiks are perfect for this and so many other designs because of the wide range of colors in each pattern.😁
Such a beautiful quilt, I was worried about all those tiny pieces, but it was really worth it in the end. I bet it took a very long time to make this one. May be my favorite of all the quilts you've done. The colors are perfect together.
What a beautiful quilt. Thanks so much for your tutorials. I'm recovering from a surgical procedure and not feeling well. You are so calm and cheerful it helps me feel better. Thank you again.
Hello Donna, once again a fantastic tutorial, l have learnt so much from your very clear and precise instructions which are so easy to follow as you are a wonderful and patient teacher! Kind regards heather from Avery wet and chilly Melbourne Australia 💨🌧
I look forward to each of your tutorials and excellent, thoughtful, time-saving tips. I stepped away from quilting for a few years. You’ve drawn me back! Thanks, Donna!
That is another awesome quilt. I just love the colors you picked. Well i have to say blue is one of my favorite colors. 😆. Thanks for all you and Matt and the hole Jordan Fabrics Family. God Bless.
I just love how you teach. So easy to follow along from yards of fabric to little half square triangles to a block to a finished quilt. I have made several of your video patterns and al the fabric you pick out. Thank you so much.
I love batiks, so I always get excited to see the quilts you make from them! I'm also very partial to blues, purples and maroon colors, so it's always fun to see quilts you make with any of those color ways too! The quilt is beautiful. 😍😍😍 Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful - I love the way the colors are layed out. There is no moving around and checking for color compatibility, only checking to see if pattern is going the right direction. I am OCD and this pattern is perfect for me. Thank you for sharing this pattern.
Thank you Donna for this great tutorial on such a pretty quilt. Love the batik fabrics and this pattern. So complex looking but very clever with the secondary patterns forming. Great job.♥️🇦🇺
Donna you have taught me how to quilt. I have watched every one of your videos. I was in your shop two times before you closed. I wish you would open up your shop. I like to see the fabric in person. I live in Jacksonville Oregon……..
Another great tutorial, making what seems very complicated (to me) doable. My favorite line from the video ‘they’re not perfect, but they’re certainly close enough for me.’ That’s freeing for me-I just can’t do perfect and I’m so often disappointed by that. That was an encouraging remark!
WOW!! That’s a lot of little pieces all sewn together perfectly, Donna!! You’re truly talented!! Gorgeous quilt probably pass my expertise. But enjoyed watching you sew and make it! Thanks!!
Amazing secondary pattern! Lovely fabric colors! And that quilting pattern -- easy to see the "cotton puffs" on the reverse side of the quilt. Reminds me of a trip I took to North Carolina one autumn with a friend from Pennsylvania (I'm from Virginia); I pointed out some little balls of cotton that had escaped the fields ready for harvesting and were happily blowing along the edge of the pavement as we drove along a rural highway. My friend pulled the car into a lay-by and ordered me to hop out and grab some of the errant cotton balls. Locals stared at me gathering up the fluffy puffs, and my friend and I later entertained ourselves by pulling the small, hard seeds out of the balls! This quilting pattern brought back memories of that crazy day! 😺💕🐾
I love them both. I would use the first as a spring summer topper. And the second with the more full color scheme in the fall. Or you could see the second as more a masculine do to the dark blue. Mor suddle. They both are beautiful
Thank you so much for your clear precise videos. Through a personal loss I gave up quilting etc for a few years. I happened on your programme this morning and went in search of material that I had put away. I am hoping that your videos will encourage me to start again. I watched your video making two cushions with frilly edges may start with those. Again thank you best wishes .
Oh my. What a gorgeous quilt. It is so complex and you make it look so easy….like even I could do it. 🤣😂🤣 And I just might try. With that many small pieces, it’s a little intimidating, but making one block at a time makes it very possible. Wow.
Donna….THIS ONE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! As always, you make it look so easy. My grandchildren want me to make them quilts, but they want something more MODERN….I want them to be happy with their quilts, but I’m a beginner so it can’t be anything too involved. I tried a jelly roll race quilt…easy and I thought modern enough….but they didn’t really like the result. Dream something up for us, Donna….PLEASE!!!
Rita, Donna has several tutorials that might fit your request. May I suggest: 1) Pebble Path from June, 2022. 2)Labyrinth from Oct 2021. 3) Dart from 2020 4) Mirror, Mirror 5) Line Dance. Good luck!
Can't wait to try this on my own. I think it will be great pattern to make a quilt of valor. My youngest daughter is in the Navy, and she has friends who would make good candidates to receive one. My oldest daughter served in the army reserves. She gave a year of her life for our country. She is a nurse at a VA hospital. I think I'm going to be very busy.
I just absolutely love the colors that you pick out in the styles there was another quilt that my mother-in-law had when she was alive it was a star but it wasn't made like that it was like the Middle star and it just kind of graduated out but you're wonderful I've learned a lot from you
Hi Donna. I watch your videos all the time but rarely comment. I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful job you do in showing the process and explaining the details so even beginners can understand how it is done. Your filming is also very clear and close-up which makes it easy to follow along with your steps. Thank you for being so generous with your tips and tutorials. I really think you are about the best teacher I have seen on You Tube.
This is just a beautiful quilt Donna. And I did have a request - I'd like instruction on how to take a child's drawing, for instance, transfer it to quilt fabric, and make a quilt from there. Thanks so much, and btw I noticeably relax when your new videos show up in my notifications. Bless you all.
Oohhh, Donna! This quilt is gorgeous! I love the fabrics you chose, the colors & the batiks…and that intricate pattern is fabulous! Your tutorial makes it look very doable, although clearly you have so much skill with your precise cutting & sewing. What a great tutorial- even your nail polish went beautifully with the fabric colors!
Wow!! You are so patient to put this all together!! This is so beautiful, and I really enjoyed watching your process. Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials and seeing how everything all comes together. ~ Mary
I just love that one you just made here. Your quilts are always beautiful. I wish I could do that good. And the one you’re giving away the wall quilts, they are just beautiful
I just found your channel, watched 3 different videos and have learned several new tricks, that I didn’t know and will now try. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to bing watching to see what else I can learn.
Beautiful pattern and choice of fabrics. Once again you make it look so easy to make! I want to run home and quilt, but I'm stuck at work. Thank you Donna and your team for another great how-to video! I so enjoy every single one!
I just love the fabric and pattern you used for this tutorial ! Thank you for making this pattern look so easy! I look forward to all the videos you produce.🥰
Wow Donna, you've done it again. Proved to me you're one of the best. Your workmenship (workwomenship), choice of colors, teaching skills, presentation and personality are impecable. You always have me glued from start to finish. Bless you for sharing.
I love watching other quilters sew because we all do things differently. Like I would hand chain pieces the blocks by the rows like sew the first row leave it on the machine sew the second row leave it on the machine etc. and then added to the rows till they where done then sewed it all together so I don’t get anything twisted or turned.

So is the store open to the public? I heard a rumor Donna and Matt were going to open their store back up to the public this summer.

I really enjoy watching how you put quilts together. This is a gorgeous quilt! I love the color choices you made. It's stunning! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Oh my gosh Donna. I love this quilt.

That looks so hard to me. I love how it turned out. You always choose the best colors.

Nice pattern. I do like the way you go over the color selection of the best thread to use for the quilting.
Beautiful quilt Donna. Not a weekend project for most, but well worth the effort. I like how you squared up the HSTs...such a time saver. 👍🏼💞
WOW...Donna...!!!! Love this quilt pattern.
Just fascinated by all your work!! I would wear one of your Jordan Fabrics tee shirts!!!!
Spectacular quilt. Thank you Jordan family 🇨🇦
I really love the fabric you used in this quilt
I have a huge pile of batiks which I think would be good to use, so I ordered the pattern
You make quilting look so easy; I love your patterns because they look waaay more complicated that they are. Thanks for the how-to's.
Another great tutorial with gorgeous fabrics. You always make it look so easy. I've learned so much from your tutorials. Thank you!
Thank you so much for all the videos you produce. I have learned a lot about fabric choice and techniques of sewing watching your videos.
