Discovered this video at the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine. This well-detailed video, when followed, will have you thinking you just brought home fajitas from your favorite tex-mex restaurant. I used a thin cut top sirloin for my meat, along with chicken thighs. Soooo good!
Made this last week. We are already making it again a few days later. It made a GREAT marinade for Texmex that rivaled our favorite Houston restaurant. The one thing I will add this next round will be putting a half cup of melted butter into the fry pan at the end with some garlic salt and fry it in that.
You are bringing an honest recipe to the folks in Cambridge, MA. Makes me miss Texas. I make the marinade a little bit different, but I will give yours a try. Easily one of the best fajita recipes I have seen on youtube.
Very good cooking skill's, it really is nice to see Texas cookin ☺. I married a woman from Texas and have been there twice so far. Great mexican food and bbq 😊. Texas has it going on out there, if you have the chance to visit Texas you won't go hungry 😴
Thank you Amanda. I'm so ready to make this for dinner tonight. I went and got all the ingredients. I'll let you know how much I love it. I'm betting it's going to be so yummy though.
We always throw in an ounce or two of the marinade right before serving. The sizzle and aroma of the marinade hitting the hot cast iron skillet really completes the fajita experience.
Thanks for putting together great instructional video. I really learnt how to marinate beef to make fajitas. I have watched many videos but yours is simple and best in my opinion. You are not using soya sauce; many recommended but they did not use black pepper either but you are using. Pineapple and lime juice together works incredible as tenderizers. For a joke, I also noticed one burnt tortilla, which is fine, lol. You are the best. God bless you.
Amanda, that looked so good.very well done ans a lot of explaing and attention to detail..cant wait to wait to watch more of your awesome vids.Iam,Cris..liked and subbed
i liked it. you can tell when someone is a good cook.. sure you almost burned the tortilla but you caught it in time.. and its just nice to see a youtube video where the cooks love for cooking is evident
Hello Chef Escamilla I watched you video yesterday afternoon I made a list of the ingredients and bought them today. I followed the instructions and wow they came out fantastic. I live in an apartment so can't have a pit or grill so I made them in a cast iron pan. That satisfied my craving. Now I need to learn how to make menudo if you have the recipe for it. Thanks from Houston Texas. I subscribed to your channel 👍
Superb! I got couple of skirt steaks which I'll do this recipe with. I guess grilling and getting meat well roasted is important here. Thx for sharing!
this lady was very entertaining as she cooked the fajitas. :) I am surely trying this dish on the grill this summer. we are Puerto Ricans & Cubans who eat anything Mexican. haha
Thank you for the great video, looks beautiful. About how long do you leave the fajitas on the indirect side of the pit? Just aproxamentlly since the thickness of the meat would very in time to cook
I loved how you grilled the fajitas, here in Mexico we call it Arrachera, I will use your recipe but without the crema, here in Mexico is not common to put crema on Tacos, great video!!
been looking at recipes to try tonight to season fajitas. Forst one I came across that had ingredients I love to use thanks. Am using porter houses. ( was on sale )
