I’ve been ponding for 25 years at least and I’ve watched hundreds of pond videos, but this is the absolute best! I would love to see some construction videos! I have actually used logs to hide my Pond hoses because I’m always reconfiguring. I also have tons of moss and just love it. This is my favorite Pond I think I’ve ever seen. Bravo, sir.🎉
Heck of a compliment thank you. Where can I see what you created? It's all about the passion . I have always loved fish keeping. They use to call me the incredible mr limpet a very old movie with Don knots. Probably one of the first cartoon and reality hybrids in the movies
I guess i spaced you wanted to se construction of the pond . sorry not many videos but there is a write up of the build with time lapse and photos the build can be seen here www.gardenpondforum.com/showcase/honored-and-proud-to-have-been-chosen-aquascapes-diy-pond-of-the-year-for-2023-12-000-gallon-koi-pond-full-build.141/
Very nice. I'm building a water feature with an upper pond (bog filter) and lower pond with 35 ft stream. going to stack rocks in lower pond as there is a huge vertical rock that the liner will be going up. did you add extra padding or liner where you stacked rocks?
I HAVE A VERY ROCKY SOIL sharp / rounded /shale/ river rock there is everything in the soil here i used 8oz geo tech under the liner and over and bunched up under the larger rocks. You can find a full well close to full build blog here www.gardenpondforum.com/showcase/honored-and-proud-to-have-been-chosen-aquascapes-diy-pond-of-the-year-for-2023-12-000-gallon-koi-pond-full-build.141/
that they are, i have cables over head and golf netting on two sides , and the house and hedge on the other sides, prety well covered and then there is the dogs. so i have done almost all i can.
all the time , 6 feet deep but its more of a cooling off pond. when i go for a swim its usually when i reach the other side im way to tired to go further . this one push off the wall and i can glide to the other side. but yes chemistry is spot on
Build a bog along one side at a time using rocks concrete retainingwalls and epdm liner make a bog have a waterfall coming down into the pool . You could make something I'd be crazy jealous about
So beautifully done, stunning! Thanks for all the details of how you accomplished this🌿
Glad you liked it, hope it can help.....

I converted my pool to pond but I don't know how to make it natural looking, I'm zone 10
In zone 10 ? there are so many options open to you

quite the compliment considering it was 20 minutes. but i have to agree i'd rather re watch this video over half the garbage on tv today.
