So now theyve run it into the ground. Spent all the money on bonuses and sold off all the assets we can have it back? Wake up people. Time to hold these criminals to account.

You'll bail them out.Thats what they mean when they say "the Gov: will step in."After they've fleeced/rinced profits and manifested gross negligence.

If by renationalise they mean let if fail and take control away from them great, if they mean buy the company off of the shareholders that have been given billions over the years then no f off.
The shareholders bought shares and take the risk and the rewards from that.

The water companies need to be run like Nationwide or the NFU in that its own by the customers not private and not nationalised neither works for utilities Thames water owners have been raping the money to make profits Where was the Gov ombudsman?

More likely they will bail them out, the tax payer will pay, and the water company will keep on as normal, putting profit ahead of all other considerations.

Don't nationalise it - sell it directly to its customers. Each customer will have a vote. Each customer will get a share if its profits. Each customer can have a say in how the business is run. Huge utility companies, as well as banks and other gargantuan and influential companies, should be sold to its own customers so no one person or body can milk it, as in the case of Thames Water. Chunks can be sold to pension funds and other investment ,vehicles. but no one entity can have a controlling interest. Future proofed.

Nationalization, or theft, is going to make the service worse. This is because there is no rpofit motive and competition. I know what I am talking about, I'm pretty good ont e subject.
Humans have built into them profit motive. You cannot get around that or adopt a philosophy to get rid of it.
So, let humans be free, you fascist brexiteers, and let an entrepreneur earn profits by selling you water. There is nothing bad or immoral about that. I'm tired of listening to his nationalisitic, fascistic "news" agency turning Britain into a national socialist state of the common good.
Brexit was about reducing bureaucracy and increasing free markets, and not about bringing in nationalisation and more red tape. It is quite simple, if you are a socialist, you are a thief.

There is no competition between water companies, the customer cannot change suppliers.

@trulyexorcise2918 which tells you, and in my opinion, we are not a free market but a "middle of the road" economy.
