Just be aware that there is a 50/50 chance of getting onto Grand Cayman. Unfortunately, our tour had to be canceled due to rough seas shortly after one of the tenders tore a piling from the pier due to the high surf. Other than that, Odessey is incredible! This is our forth cruise. Our first time on Royal Caribbean. We are leaving March, out of Fort Lauderdale. We booked a virtual inside cabin, on the 10th floor. We will see how this turns out
My kids and l are going on the Odyssey Dec 2023. I am not a fan of the balcony but l like to be in the middle/ middle of the ship..l chose the 6th floor with the obstructive balcony because the room was larger. I am afraid of heights l have no plans to go out on the balcony. Lol..
Great video. Question for you regarding the "secret" spacious ocean view. How come you prefer a lower floor corner room over a higher floor room? I have a 9110 room but the 11th floor corners rooms both just became available.
11 is the same deck as Adventure Ocean which is very convenient if you have kids. I think it came to size. Some appear to be a little larger than others.
Thanks! I think 11 looks slightly bigger by the bed than 8 or 9 from looking at the video. i think I’ll just stick with the 9 because I heard that higher floors are not as ideal for people who gets a little sea sick.

You can switch if there is something available in your category. But I don’t think it will be bad. If that location on the ship is good for you, then I wouldn’t move.
I'm going with my 18-year-old daughter. So we don't really need to be near the adventure place. We just want to quiet location with great views. Also, I hear that You could feel more movement at the front of the ship. Can I change my room at this point? Our cruise is June 9th. I didn't see anywhere to change it online, so I guess I have to call. Also, is it worth it to bid on an upgraded room? This is our first cruise. Thank you so much for your help. 😊
Cabin 7188 says on my info 5D but obstructed. 5d on the deck places doesn’t say obstructed. Can you please advised ? It was a guaranteed ( the choose) cabin so not sure I can switch .
On the Odyssey, deck 6 is where the lifeboats are. My guess is, there is a lifeboat just below your balcony. 5Ds on that deck are sporadic, so it’s probably a pretty good view, especially at a GTY. Very centrally located. I would say that’s a good assignment.
We just got assigned 13231 with "they choose" -- do you think we might have a problem with pool noise above us? We've never been this close previously. Thank you!!
I personally have never had an issue with pool noise when directly below the pool. I know some people report it, but we love being this close the the pool deck
We needed connecting rooms but rooms 10127 and 10129 are directly below Adventure Ocean and it sounds like a herd of elephants are up there. Do not recommend those cabins at all.
There will be some pros and cons. Pro - you have an extra large balcony. Cons - It will be a little obstructed because of the liftboats. Also, you have a long walk to the closest elevator. Not horrible, but a lot depends on the mobility of your party. Hope that helps.

We rarely go out on the balcony. We were just in an porthole cabin on DCL and didn’t miss the balcony. For me it’s all about location
Nice we got room 6256, good to see around 41 minutes we good an okay obstructed room

We royal up to 6300 obstructed. Is it a partial obstruction or full? Should we try to change?
I wouldn’t know. You could try and see on that website if there are any pictures

I have room 8170 and my sister will be 3596. Any thoughts? We are 1st time cruisers sailing 9 days out of Rome
