2 persons only ? I'm afraid we would need a lot more ! Share this video as much as possible, and if we reach 100 000 views we may have enough public attending for a US tour ?^^
@smallgiraffe42 yes its supposed to me. the french horn is a very difficult instrument to keep the right tone for a lot of arrangements. it kind of muffles it, but at the same time gives it a very sweet and enticing tone. its sounds really cool!
One is with piston valves, the other with rotary valves. Different manufactures. The fingerings are the same, but the blowing is a little different as the air's way is not the same.
@darkromaster I'm not selling or giving my arrangements because of copyrights owned by Nintendo. I'm trying to find an editor so that can be possible soon!
@smallgiraffe42 It's the only way to really control pitch and tone with a french horn, mainly due to the fact that it's such a small bore. You lip through partials then use your hand to fine tune your pitch.
@playlistmusic0 Actually, from 5:59, it's the horn playing a very difficult background in a boogie woogie style... Trombone finish this at 6:09, but otherwise, he plays the second voice theme with the trumpet. I really encourage you to listen to the original music and try to pick it up from here, it's much easier with electronic clean sounds. And you can really make your own arrangement with your transitions, and what you decide. It will be a lot more valuating (but difficult though) for you ^^
Trumpet player here! I just got back from being 1st chair at an all state band clinic, and when I saw your video, I genuinely was shocked. It was all very well put together. But I do have one question, was Aurore Prieur a stand in for your other trumpeter?

@ToeterDaan88 We're actually in an international competition to try to gain more credibility. Maybe Nintendo will hear us after that ! Wish us best luck !
@chriseliotrumpet Hey there, man. Watched all y'alls videos. Very impressive stuff! I notice this comment is only a month old. I assume no new news since then? And just out of curiosity, how long ago did you contact Nintendo about the music? Just wondering for myself, as I'm also a musician (tuba!) and know how these things can be. That being said, I fancy your arrangements a lot (and it'd save me the time of trying to transcribe them by ear!). Best, Josh
@chriseliotrumpet - hey, i've a brass quintet in ireland and we've been lookin for an arrangement of this for ages, yours is brilliant!! Is there any way we could get a copy of it??? nice one!
@playlistmusic0 Sure, I fixed the space already but you need to log in and i can't... Anyway, I'm sorry but I'll be very busy till ... JUNE !!! So I probably won't have time to help... But good luck and keep it up !
The musicians seem very young to be professionals, but definitely play at that level. The most I've had experience with was only a hobbyist group with college music majors and non-majors, and we could absolutely not achieve these levels of musicianship and technique on our best day.
Thanks ! Actually, 2 of us were already hired in professionnal army orchestras, and the 3 others were giging in national orchestras from time to time. We recorded this when we were in Paris Conservatoire, just after or just before our Master degree.
Merci, malheureusement je ne peux pas vous fournir les partitions car notre arrangement n'est pas encore édité. J'espère qu'il le sera bientôt, pour pouvoir l'envoyer à tous ceux qui me l'ont demandé ! Bonne musique !
I see, thank you :) One more question. I've seen a strange trumpet(?) in a symphonic orchestra. It had two bells (I hope thats the name of it :D), but one mouthpiece. Do you know something about that? (I'm a clarinetist, so I'm not really familiar with brass instruments)
Dabaka93 I don’t see a double bell trumpet, though there is a double bell euphonium which one was used for projecting sound (baritone). Though it is not used anymore as widely, it is still a cool instrument. If you pressed down a certain valve, it would switch to baritone rather than playing on the euphonium bell.
I think it's been asked by many folks, but is there any way to get the sheet music for this? I'm a band director, and I teach a quintet of some of our students. I know they'd love to play this!
As you think, and as you may have noticed in my answers, the arrangement is not for sale or rent, or give, or anything untill we don't havev the copyrights... Sorry...
Christophe Eliot If you arranged it, you automatically own the copyrights and every possible right there is. So it's your choice if you share it with other musicians, or not.
I remember my music teacher showed our class this, and this alone made me want to play the trumpet.
This is probably the most wonderful compliment we had from the posting of this video ! Thanks a lot, and keep on with the trumpet ! ;)
tuba was amazing
wooow THAT TUBA gave me goosebumps
Tubas are awlays fun to play. especially in marching band. man i loved those days
This reminds me of my freshman year in high school, our marching band show was video games and Mario was the 4th tune
This needs to be published as soon as possible! It's so beautiful!
Please try and find some agreement between you, the copyright holders and, say, itunes so that we can get copies of this... legally... as this music is beautiful and you play it fantastically!
Thank you, would you like us to come & play in USA ?
We may think about preparing a tour... !
Takes me back to the days of playing this all day! Love!!!
You all have such wonderful tones. That and this wonderful arrangement make for a wonderful listening experience. Excellent job!
2 persons only ?
I'm afraid we would need a lot more !

@musiclovr6599 Thanks ! Always good to hear ^^
@smallgiraffe42 huh... of course it is ! ^^
It may be a prototype 2 bells trumpet used for some contemporary music. It's actually very rare !
great arrangement, and wonderful sound by all performers. the articulation was wonderful.
so true.
We would love to see you in New York!
this is soooooooo cool! memories! yall are awesome you really made my day
It's in Bb Major, Tuba only is in F (trombone always in C, but some people think in Bb treble clef, particularly in brass bands)
One is with piston valves, the other with rotary valves. Different manufactures.

Not an easy trumpet part, wow! Kudos!
Awesome quality!
I'm doing a "by-ear" transcription, btw. I want to play some of it with my quintet. :)

Well? Have you made this in a way public the people? The sheet music and the actual recording of course!
The musicians seem very young to be professionals, but definitely play at that level. The most I've had experience with was only a hobbyist group with college music majors and non-majors, and we could absolutely not achieve these levels of musicianship and technique on our best day.

Bonne musique !
Christophe Eliot ah d'accord j'espere moi aussi ;)

French horn is so amazing!!!!!!!
He left us alas... He is now solo horn player in Berlin Konzerthaus !
does the male trumpeter have valves it doesn't look like it:/
What is the name of the last piece at 6:21?
Is there any technical differences between the two trumpets?
Hella raw
the trumpet on the right looks rly weird
What tone is the ensamble in?
I see, thank you :) One more question. I've seen a strange trumpet(?) in a symphonic orchestra. It had two bells (I hope thats the name of it :D), but one mouthpiece. Do you know something about that? (I'm a clarinetist, so I'm not really familiar with brass instruments)

@playlistmusic0 Of course I know... I wrote it :p
But it would be better if you write your own instead of copying this one you know !
3:38 stamina gone ahuhauahuah
sheet music?!?!?!?!?! please reply
@darkromaster
Arranged by myself
I think it's been asked by many folks, but is there any way to get the sheet music for this? I'm a band director, and I teach a quintet of some of our students. I know they'd love to play this!
As you think, and as you may have noticed in my answers, the arrangement is not for sale or rent, or give, or anything untill we don't havev the copyrights... Sorry...
Actually, give is fine, as long as you don't generate any revenue off of it, I thought.
Joshua Muñoz
This is unfortunately wrong...
Dang.
Christophe Eliot
If you arranged it, you automatically own the copyrights and every possible right there is. So it's your choice if you share it with other musicians, or not.
If you ever get hold of the music, just read the trombone part! After all, you could just read and play what the trombone reads!
If you played in New York, I might cry out of excitement. I might. I probably will.
