Adam, before the cover rips, bring it to a local upholstery shop and have them make you a quality cover to that pattern. It might be a bit more but worth it to protect the hours you spent creating the John boat.
I've stored my kayaks on an old trailer in my garden I might ask someone to make something like this for me to protect them, such a simple but great idea . 🐸🐸Frogs have large pupils🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸
The tarp is great for long term storage, but won't work well for trailering. The wheel chocks are a great idea, but I would also recommend a trailer jack chock. It's a small donut that goes around your trailer jack wheel. If a side wind were to hit the boat it prevents the boat from spinning. For $10 it's well worth it. You can get them at Northern Tool.
Pro Tip from Nate Eckhold: if you want to stop your cover straps from digging into and scuffing your paint. Go get some 1” or bigger black pipe insulation and run your straps through it. So the insulation makes contact with the boat instead of the strap.

Will your boat fit in your new shed/building ? You could store it there for protection .
Wait for the newer version LiveScope Plus System. Return the other if you can.
Through the old cover on this one
