Super nice. Looking good. I've been extending some of my scenery down the side of the fascia, using miniature trees as switch handles and a rounded rock for the throttle in a place where the control panel is right by the track, (DC) and extending roads, power lines, and rivers down the side of the fascia also, which even though the roads on top are real, and the ones on the fascia are just painted on, it really changes the perception of how your railroad looks. Next I am going to paint a waterfall where my river meets the top of my fascia. Have fun. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.
Hi Ian. Great looking layout. The fascia came up really well. Your layout is about the same size as mine so it is nice to see how you make best use of the space. Just remember it does not matter if things “look better” for us between episodes. The only thing that matters is that YOU are happy with how things turn out. We are merely admirers of your great work. Thanks for sharing. Brendon😊
Great progress. The fascia looks sharp, it looks good and so is the permanent buildings (nice touch the corner). Yes a heiix do work well - but they do eat up lots of material and tracks. Great video.
Looking great, that Ferguson Refrigeration model looks ace, maybe a little too clean for a industry perhaps? That facia is really nicely done, it pleased my inner OCD that you filled the gaps :P Also helix kit looks interesting, I do wonder how you're going to fit it in under the desk there, look forward to seeing that all work out in a future video like you say :)

Great update Ian. Curious to see an update on how that 5% helix works. Fingers crossed for you.
Yes I hope it works OK but it's a small risk given that the kit was cheap... we'll see how it turns out!
Nice progress update…great facia work…reminds me to do better with my facia…Ferguson transformation is 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

Thanks Mike, yes there’s still detailing and weathering to complete on Ferguson Refrigeration… and I’m keeping fingers crossed with the helix!
Fascia on any layout just bumps the layout's look up 10 pts, great job
Thanks - glad you like it!
New subscriber, enjoying the videos and the layout looks great.
Fabulous, welcome to the channel and thanks for your encouragement! Ian
Who makes the helix kit?
Hi, I bought it second hand/unassembled - the paperwork says it’s a German manufacturer called Hahotec Holztechnik. Thanks for watching!
Is a 5% gradient round a sharp curve any less eye-watering than an 8% straight? Hopefully it works well.
Yes I agree it's a gamble... but the kit cost £28 so worth a try I hope!
