I couldn’t figure out why the bar looked off, you nailed it. Love your comments and explanation without being condescending or criticizing. Please do more of these videos.
To be raw and honest …. Not a big fan of Gwen’s home …and Hilary’s home well … she needs you Mariam.!,,,,,💕 Great job and your a class act in being kind and tactful in your critiquing . Love from sunny Florida ☀️
Your idea of commenting on, rather than criticizing (not your style, from what I see from your videos) Gwyneth Paltrow’s and Hillary Duff’s interiors is a bit of a master class. Please do more.
@@euphoria156 Very rude statement. In a class you there to teach/learn, not keep an even score..if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing, sometimes.
I was so happy to hear your comments on Ms. Paltrow’s Montecito home. The home is absolutely beautiful; but I just didn’t like something about the bar in the living room. You identified my issue with it exactly; it looked like it was “placed.” Your explanation about running the beautiful stone to the ceiling was a light bulb moment for me. Your design insight is wonderful and truly appreciated.
Thank you,Miriam for sharing your design expertise. I’m binge watching your videos and getting inspired to do my spring cleaning change up. I love the elegance to your style. You must have been heartbroken when you left your dream home. What a legacy. Love from western Canada.
tO THE DESIGNER---> WOW YOU ARE SUCH A MEAN PERSON FOR COMPARING 2 ACTRESSES HOME HERE. YOU 1ST SHOWED A DESIGNER HOME OF A RICH ACTRESS THEN SHOWED NOT SO AWSOME HOME OF A NOT SO RICH ACTRESS??! tHATS JUST PLAIN MEAN !!!!! SHAME ON YOU !!! BTW LOOK AT YOUR OWN UGLY HOME HAHAHA 2ND HOME IS BETTER THAN YOURS OWN !
I loved this video, I love the way you walk through these beautiful homes and help us understand what works and why and what is off. Please do more of these, thank you. I love Nancy Meyers movie sets can you do a lesson on how to achieve that style keeping it transitional instead of cottage like, thank you Miriam
HI Miriam, absolutely loved this video and have never seen anyone do this type of thing before. Yes, I will happily watch more! I did like Gwyneth's stunning home too but I did not love the living room. The couch looked quite hard and not sold on the hammock inside the house. I would love to see more videos on how her design style has changed.
Your commentary was very insightful. I would love to hear your thoughts on other celebrity homes. Kim Kardashian's house in particular comes to mind. Thank you.
I love how you dissected each design element and voiced you opinion on what should have been done, or if you agreed. Some designers are afraid to voice their opinion and agree with all concepts/ideas. To me, they proposes a problem and states “everything goes together” which it doesn’t.
Very informative video. Gwyneth's home is elegant, stylish, and relaxing. Her time in England certainly influenced her style and tastes. Her homes suits me better because I am a middle aged woman. My tastes have evolved over time. The bar is very beautiful and a show stopper. Thank you.
I loved your critique and analysis of these home designs and would love to see more. Did you ever do a follow-up to Gwyneth Paltrow’s design style over the years? I am very interested in this topic! I am very intrigued by her “futuristic” chandelier, which is a masterful “quiet” statement. It just blends in because of its color, and then you focus on it, and you see how interesting the form is. I would also LOVE to have wallpaper like that in my dining room! Such a dream!
Thanks for the video. I would love a look at the evolution of Gwyneth Paltrow’s home design. I really appreciate the sophistication in your design sensibility.
Really enjoy you sharing your expert designer knowledge. Video was well done! Personally, I didn't really like Paltrow's house, but, that's because I'm more traditional / french in my interior design.
This is so informative! I would really enjoy a few book reviews. What books would you recommend, and why? (Not only coffee table books like the classic Tom Ford, but maybe Elements of Style or The Finer Things.)
Completely agree it's important to use trends judiciously ...just like the ever so popular en trend word "moment "...some designers are using it in every sentence:/
Not a fan of Gwyneth at all but there is no denying her home is gorgeous. Your observations are very enlightening and helpful. I do not like the bar, it looks like a bathroom. This is the one place in her home where wood would have grounded the room and looked so appropriate.
I love your wall color, Miriam. Would you be so kind as to share it with me? Also, what is your favorite soft cream ivory wall paint that would pair well with Swiss Coffee trim. I am kind of grayed out.
I wondering if you have any suggestions about making grabs in bathroom- shower, tub to look not industrial or nursing home like. I have a beautiful home but need to put these in without looking horrible.
Dear Miriam - Sorry to say this; however, I hope it is helpful. Is there anyway of improving your sound? Your videos sound very mono and tinny, along with being very quiet. Thank you so much, I enjoy your video content, and talent, very much.
Hi thanks for your comment, we are constantly learning and trying to improve, that said, we did have an issue with our microphone that day so I do apologize for the sound quality
@@miriammanzointeriors Dear Miriam, It was worth me trying to hear, I really enjoyed this Review, and I love to learn, and appreciate you, thank YOU. I look forward to the next one.
Love Gwyneth’s kitchen and her dining room table, but not the chairs she had with it. Love the sofa and hanging seat. Not loving Hillary’s place, but loved her chandelier.
Out of the whole 20 some minutes, the only thing I think really worked was Duff's table, chairs, and light fixture - that to me is the right stuff in the right place ... all the rest not so much. I am not a fan of "modern" and "eclectic" in such large doses especially when using "trendy" things such as curves and flutes etc. But I suppose it's each to his/her own but I couldn't live in either house ...
Gwyneth Paltrow has complete style and good taste so she knew how to consult a designer and get ideas. Hillary's home is very cute, but lacks taste and complimentary style. That family room off the kitchen...I'm not sure what's happening there. The brass shelves look cheap. The eating area is nice.
Not a fan of Gwyneth's house some parts are just, look like they belong in Wilma flintstone's home. none of the furniture looks comfortable to sit and relax on, but maybe comfort is not part of their life when entertaining. I realize, that she probably has a house keeper, or two, but , your average homemaker wouldn't want to move all that heavy furniture to clean around. also, do the fireplaces even work? or just for show? Hillary's home, the fireplace is so out of place, not pleasing to look at all. the tile in the kitchen, no! such a contrast next to the beautiful cupboards. the dining room table, and floors are beautiful! Just wanted to add that your cottage is beautiful, more my taste!
I am concerned about that sculptural coffee table. Too unforgiving and too large in that space. It needs to be outside with large volumes of space around it. Visually jarring.

Good to see what can be accomplished with a luxury ID budget. Now, I can definitely find and use some of those ideas in my own home.
Great video very insightful and elegantly critiqued.

Love love your work- I watch numerous design videos and your home is the only one where I could move without changing a single idea. Love your work 👌🏾
Is there anyway you can upgrade the audio on your videos, it is low and very tinni sounding? Such good videos deserve to be heard. Thx!

There is a difference between a home and a house. Many celebrities live in the latter.
The kitchen at Gwyneth was my favorite! The bar though, seems out of place and the selection of stone … too busy.
I'm not a fan of Gwenyth's dining room table (too 80s!) and chandeliers (a bit strange). The rest of the decore is very appealing!

Aesthetically to the eye pleasing, do not see that comfort element at all. Ive gotta have both!
Loved everything except Gwen's dinning room table & chairs, way too modern, just my opinion.
The LR is depressing and drab. Not a fan of the ART over the fireplace ! I do like all of the other rooms in GP's home tho.
Oh no. That ANTIQUE sign on your wall is so wrong...
I am sorry, but you should fix that before commenting on other houses

The big picture produce sadness it is dark.
The B & W floor is terrible. I know this is popular and " classic " but, it is also nauseating and now " common & basic ". Kitsch floor almost.
I always hated it because I thought it looked like a 50’s diner…but Paltrow makes it look classy.
