- Join us for the 2023 Howard Hill Classic at the famous Tannehill State Park in beautiful McCalla Alabama for some awesome 3D shooting and a special visit with the legendary Byron Ferguson!
This is one of the things that I love about archery it can be such a family-oriented sport. Good job parents
I'm extremely happy Byron is still doing his thing, I met him a few times and been to a few of his shooting expeditions, he's a remarkable archer and good man.
I want shooting like you! I just bought a bow and i shoot every day 40 lbs!
😁👍🏻
You got some good shooters with you there, Jeff, showcasing their Black Hunter bows!
Yes sir 😁👍🏻
Great video.
That’s some good shooting. Also it was great you had the young ones in there. Bravo as always.

It is a fun event to go to we went a few times when I was a kid

Mr Harris is a great gent. met Him in 2014 . I hope to make the HH classic someday. Say Hello to Tim with Acadian Woods Bows for Me.
There are many things that can be done to edit proper sound volume, before final submission of a video. Yes, mistakes will be made, but volume is absolutely crucial to get people to watch videos. Volume editing is very important people.
Man it be nice to shoot this good with traditional equipment ! I suck so it’s a compound bow for me lol
God bless you Jeff🏹😎
Thanks brother I really appreciate that!
Been there, lot of little targets back then but nice park and rode the train
👍👍
👊
Looks like a great time. I’m trying to hunt down some good 3d shoots where I live.
Jeff, looks like a fun time was had by all… Where can we find info for next year’s event?
It’s usually posted on Facebook for sure but always the first weekend in June
Hi Jeff,
I found there are two kinds of Risers:
1) For most of risers, their pivot point is the center of the bow.
This is the case of all recerve bows and some long bows;
2) For some special long bows, their grip position is the center of the bow.
Normally the grip position lies about a centimeter below the pivot point.
Would you kindly tell me why there could be such a difference?
Which one is correct?
Thank you.
Matthew
HELLO JEFF, LOVE YOUR SHOWS, ASKING DID YOU KEEP SCORE AND IF SO, WHAT WAS IT. MY BUDDY AND I GO TO 3D SHOOTS EVERY CHANCE. WE SHOOT FROM 200 TO 255 ON 30 TARGETS. THANK YOU
I'm highly interested in making longbows and recurves. Where to buy the glass for bow lams. I come from a selfbow background and bamboo laminated bows.
Absolutely, the best guy to call is Kenny McKenzie at Kenny’s Custom Archery, wonderful guy with everything you need in smaller quantities and will help you any way possible 👍🏻
You guys are pretty good shots! I've seen FAR worse! LOL
As a Brit watching this "Howard Hill Classic" I would like to ask why no-one is shooting a HH stlyle bow? Given the description, I would have thought this would be a prerequsite to compete. Else why call it the Howard Hill Classic? Forgive my ignorance but it seems a little incongruous. A bit like your world series for baseball but only for the US?
Yes sir it’s because it’s held close to where he was from and open to all traditional equipment however they do have an ASL “Hill Style “ longbow class and give away a commemorative bow every year.
