- Hello and welcome to our first instalment of Train Sim World 3!
Today we're going to be firing up Train Sim World 3 and seeing where the rails take us! It has to be said I'm a little bit underwhelmed with how different it is, however that could be due to the fact we're driving a train we already had, on a route we already had for Train Sim World 2.
That said, I don't think this is a bad game... just that this is a game we already had... and have had to essentially pay for some updates... maybe I'm wrong.

365s can do 100mph because they're AC powered. There's a network-wide limitation on DC (3rd rail) of 90mph. However the 465 has small, metro-suited traction motors, geared for faster acceleration, but a limited top speed of 75mph. The 466 has a top speed of 90mph.
The problem is the 466 can never reach that speed cause they are always coupled to 465s 😂
In reference to the re-tractioned 465s, it was the BREL and ABB ones (Class 456/0 and 465/1) that were retrofitted with the Hitachi traction system, the 465/2s and 465/9s all retain their original traction setup 😊
Great videos as always. I joined the discord server too. The 465 is one of my favourites. Fun fact: Most trains now work in doubles (except from 395s which only one diagram a day does that in both directions), and most services start from out of the game and end out of the game but call at in-game stops before despawning. it's pretty weird. 395 are the only train in SHS to have routes that don't go out of the game, that being London to Faversham. Altho, there are still tons that go out of the game, most notably, the London to Ramsgate. Sometimes it drives me mad because I'm driving and then it tells me to alight because the train is going out ofthe game for a bit till it has its service back in the game. Then I have to traspe into another train🤣
Glad to see the weird white light in the tunnel before Rochester wasn't just because I was trying to run the game on my very underpowered laptop but actually just classic DTG. That said as a casual/beginner train person I do like the games to help ease me into the world a bit more than the overwhelming nature of TS Classic. I love them both to be fair but just have more routes in World due to buying 1, 2 and 3 and getting to carry the core routes across.
Great video Joe. The extension is to Ashford and Dartford it's the gravesend to charing x service but just going to Dartford. You get 2 other routes as well the German one with with the ice 1 and 3 and kajon pass which is America freight.
In order to activate speed set then you have to set the dynamic brake on and notch 4 of powah (power)

Hi Joe. Great vid as usual. I'm gonna slightly disagree, I love driving freight they have improved the class 66 enormously, in fact a driver I spoke to reckons its pretty accurate. There are alot of things that are hugely better. Look, I am a huge critic of TSW, I still think its a game not a sim for example. I would argue TSW3 is better. Is it worth the money? The jury is out. (I've paid more for lesser games.) Not sure, haven't driven it much yet. Here's a thought, if they had called it Train world, left out the sim, would we have a different opinion of it? It's that word simulator, it makes a huge difference. I don't want to walk around, I want to drive, concentrate on the trains not extra bits for you to walk around in. Trying to cater for too many people maybe? Gamers and simmers?....I don't know. But yeah, the jury is out! Cheers! PS. If you look at it dispassionately, money making exercises is what they do, it's a business. They have 300 salaries to pay. Not defending it, but there you go.

I don't disagree with you to be fair, after driving the new TSW3 routes there is a dramatic improvement on the TSW2 routes, however I don't know if the difference is good enough to warrant paying "new game" prices, for what I think could be a achieved in a patch for TSW2 :)

"I thought we'd spawned at Dover Priority" - Dover Priority isn't even in the sim/route! It is in Train Sim Classic, but not in TSW3
Always great graphics for this game but sittingbourne station that bridge you saw people feet was taken down about a year ago now
I think It's because the route was set few years ago
The 3 active routes instead of Sprint of steam is completely for free

I hope they extend the Chatham line to Victoria one day. When I attempted to ride a train to Victoria from Rochester, the game stopped. So disappointed.
Maybe also Ashford to Victoria via Maidstone.
That'd be good! I do like the commuter stuff from London Terminals!

Man I hope preserved routes get this Update, I think DTG said they would get the dynamic weather and lighting? Someone Lmk, cause I would love to see GWE and caltrain have this
what they should of done before anything else is sort out the split second Lag you get all the time , very ennoying, thats why i play Train simulator Classic instead , dont get any lag with that , smooth as silk, total waste of money no different to TSW2 only difference is updated weather and a few people with umbrellas, as you said Joe , money making scheme
Tsw2 routes and trains do port over if you own them.

Does anyone know which services only have one 465 rather than two coupled up?
Bakerloo line update is messed up. Passengers don't board the train.
465/0 & /1 have Hitachi motors 465/2 & /9 and 466 have metro Cammell sounds
What about microstuttering? This is quite a common thing, even on my 5950X with 64GB RAM and 6800XT it's stuttering a lot (TSW2)
The motors has been the same on the class 465 since 1993/9 and/2

£29.99 for the single route of your choice...£49.99 for the deluxe version and £39.99 for the standard edition.
It's a lot isn't it, I mean I am enjoying the game so far, but it's still an eyewatering amount.

On steam they've removed an option to buy TSW and TSW2 with the only option to buy TSW3 and TSW2, TSW DLC so I would've thought that buying a copy of the franchise once (e.g. TSW) will auto update to TSW2 then TSW3 and then TSW4 when that comes out etc. like in Train Sim "Classic" or am I wrong here?
Yeah unfortunately every new TSW game that comes out, you need to re-purchase it in full with no discounts from owning previous versions :(
@@JoeDobsongaming Well that sucks. Luckily I was planning on buying either Zusi 3 (Aerosoft) or SimRail (SimRail S.A.) which both seem to be more realistic (on the surface) than TSW series anyways...
Joe if you bought dlc in tsw2 and it will transfer to this game but I'm not sure if you buy the dlc now I don't know if it will cross over but kinda like a cross over game of tsw2 with the DLC
