Hello and welcome to our first instalment of Train Sim World 4!
It's time for another video sponsored by Dovetail Games, this time on the brand new Train Sim World 4!
Today we're going to be looking at some of the features available for the recently released Train Sim World 4. This video is not a review we're merely just looking at the features available, and taking a drive of the Class 801 Azuma unit from Peterborough through to Newark Northgate.
This game is very "Evolution rather than revolution", so for players familiar with the previous Train Sim World titles, you'll be immediately familiar with the layout, so the learning curve shouldn't be too steep.

that shot with you next to the Scotsman was so lovely
5 car Azuma’s run with the front pan, 9 cars run with the back pan. 10 cars run with the front pan on the leading unit and the back pan with the trailing unit.
5 cars run with the rear pan on LNER I believe
Same reason why DB locos usually have rear up, so it it ripps off it doesn fly into the other one
Is this actually true? GWR IETs run with the front pan up so that the driver can easily visually check it if the ADD operates.

The noise you describe in 30:43 is the separate egress interlock engaging over 3mph which stops someone pulling the emergency egress at 125mph and opening the door.
Feels weird to think that very soon I'm gonna be going to aberdeen from kings cross and the first 2 hours is non stop to york lol the only service all day that is direct from KGX to ABD will be fun! although for some reason it's cheaper to come back via crewe and euston how bizarre lol

Fantastic video joe I have to say I have been enjoying TSW4 when it was announced I was thinking hear we go again but after buying the deluxe version and getting 5 days early access I have enjoyed belting up and down the ECML with the 801 it’s definitely much better than tsw3

The line at Grantham one turn left it’s Nottingham/Skegness route I’m been on that line lots of time

I remember when cross city line came out it was streamed for weeks .all the channels i watch are either streaming bus simulator or train sim clasic kind of tells me ecml is boring just like i thought it would be and especially with me living around Newark and travelling regularly on this route irl

Hi joe i was born in elgan in Scotland but now im in England and I’ve been on every Scot rail service. Im 9 and im begging my mom to move back down. Anyway is there any way you can transfer the Scotland express to me pls. Also I’ve always wanted to be a bus and train driver

This really doesn't look any better than Train Sim Classic with AP enhancement packs. In fact, I think TSC looks better. I bought TSW 1. I stopped there. Glad I did. Don't fancy giving DTG a yearly subscription for basically the same game.
TSW4 has got bugs all over the place. Ive downloaded it on my Xbox last night and requested a refund this morning. Abysmal.
The problems are being fixed but fair enough
@@Bcp123 There’s some really basic bugs which you’d have to be blind to miss. They have compromised on the quality just so they can deliver the release on-time and within budget. Once it’s fixed, I’ll reconsider purchasing.
Exactly what I expected from Dovetail. Also think Flying Scotsman was a cashgrab and the only people who bought it were given a key by Dovetail
