Thanks for the video, been doing photography as a hobby for 10+ years and never bothered to do anything with it in a professional sense. Met a photographer in my local park recently who mentioned all the ways they sell their photos and it really inspired me to chase it up. Postcards look like an excellent entry point. One thing I would suggest to people who don't want to setup a store front is contact your local independent shops if you have any near you. There's community shops in my area that already sell postcards produced by local photographers and I know of one shop that doesn't sell any - hopefully that'll be my entry point.
Thank you so much for this beautiful and honest video Andy. I got into landscape photography recently and always had this idea to make picture post cards but never really went ahead. Now after watching your video it gave me a good positive push to go ahead with my plan that I had. Thank you Andy. I have liked and subscribed to your channel, umesh ;)
Thank you for the tips! I've been wanting to sell my photos as postcards forever. I did a couple of times and sold them at little markets, but I hadn't known about the Moo option. Thank you for your content and beautiful photographs/postcards!
I watched Manny Ortiz fight with the overwhelming and very entertaining awkwardness of his outros and figures I'd do the same. Why struggle endlessly for finesse when you can just embrace being useless? 😁
Awesome video. The website that I usually use to order my prints only allows packs of 26 postcards with a single image, so I'll definitely check this one out.
Thanks Andy! Great idea about the postcards too. I love my photography but being a full time nurse and flicking my spare time between jewellery/lapidary and card making means my "spare" time is often sparse. This is a great way to combine my loves which I'd never have thought of so thankyou!
Good morning I just discovered your UA-cam channel And you've inspired an ideal I have some 35 mm slides that have been in storage for some time that might just fit the bill for your ideal with moo I think this will make for a good experiment thank you again for the great content it's always nice to discover new stuff
This is how I'm starting out selling my prints. Thanks for the information on printing. I have visted my local printers, they would print batches of 50 and they told me that the inks they use fade in sunlight. Not a great start. Good luck.
Great video! Do not have a website myself but started to print my postcards after friends asked for my pics 😊 Do you have a link for Brandon who you refer to in the beginning as well? Much success to you!!
Hey Andy finally starting to look into selling some of my work, it's a slow process I don't have a website, yet squarespace to the rescue soon. I put some of my stuff on my YT channel, and I have a local gift store keen to market some of my work, at hi early stage I'm thinking post cards. Would be interested in the price you sell yours for. Nice work BTW. Liked and subbed your channel. Regards Paul
Thanks Paul! I sell a pack of six postcards for €19 and then shipping is €6, tho I need to increase this to €7. The margins aren't amazing but I enjoy it and I've made a small profit so far - though nowhere near enough to justify the time and effort..! 😁
@@AndyDay hey mate thanks for quick reply. That sounds ok I've been looking at a local print co, they do a 100 pack for 12NZD so about 5 quid, I'll do a euro conversion see what costs are. Might be a bit of fun and pay for some van juice. Cheers.
@@paultaylorphotography9499 You're welcome! You caught me just as I'm trying to edit my next video. ☺️ Good luck with it and let me know how you get on!

How do you advertise/ marketing them?
What paper use for the post card
Could you give me information on how to set up a shop please?
I use Squarespace but there are cheaper, more functional options out there. Check out pixieset.com
Thanks for your see you next time!
Thanks.
What is the brand model and price of your mic ..great information thx in advance
Hey Gilligan. It was super cheap! It's a Neewer NW-800. It came with the arm and the power supply. Great results for the money. 😊
hi! thanks so much for your video - what finish did you use? super/standard? soft touch, matte?
Matte! Always matte. 😊

This is superb idea, but I don't believe that someone will buy a postcard for 6euro in our country... :(
I hope this comment helps with the algorithm.
Thanks, appreciate it!
Get to the point please
Hi AngelJane. Please do not watch any more of my videos. Thanks! 😊
